The location couldn’t be better for our visit to explore historic downtown Charleston. Each bedroom having an attached bathroom was ideal for our family with adult kids. Definitely would stay here again!
House was perfect for us, lots of room. We were able to walk all over. House was clean, management company was great and was very accommodating to our needs.
The house was perfect for six of us who got away for a few days to see the Charleston Open. The room set up was great with plenty of VERY comfortable beds/pillows and bathrooms. We loved the gathering room with the pretty blue shag carpet. The kitchen was large and the table was a good size for playing games.
Since we had older family members the stairs were hard but we managed.
Management was excellent. Because of the winter storm that Charleston never gets, there were a couple of incidents but management was there to fix right away. They were all very professional and kind. Much appreciated!
Terrible and decrepit houses next door and in neighborhood. Unsafe location and there was an attempt at breaking and entering.

This historic house is located in an area of downtown Charleston, called Cannonborough and Elliotborough. It is the only section of downtown Charleston that allows short term house rentals. The area is considered the “Gateway to the Peninsula” and is surround by all other short term rentals. Because this is the only section of Charleston that allows home rentals it is currently experiencing a city and community backed neighborhood revitalization. The streets of this neighborhood have a great energy and youthfulness. It is home to a number of amazing local restaurants, roof top bars, flower shops, coffee shops, bakeries, and other small boutiques.

The property was very convenient to get to anywhere we wanted to go. It was a block off King Street and a couple of blocks to walk to catch the free bus to go downtown. It had plenty of room for the 6 of us. The family room was a great space for us to gather. It does need to have a complete cleaning. There was dust build up on the light switches and baseboards. In the front bedroom the duvet cover was dirty and in the double bed room the bathroom on the north side had a pile of dirt under the window behind the bathroom door. When we arrived the cleaning people had left the dirty rags on the end banister. There was a broom for us to use to sweep up spills or dirt, but we could not find a dust pan. We were to have 3 parking spaces for the property, but there was always someone in the Third spot. Luckily we only needed one spot. All in all we had a fine experience and would recommend staying there.
Perfect house for a friends or couples weekend away! Clean and great layout for hanging out together, but also for private space given amazing bathroom to bedroom ratio!
Some friend and I came to Charleston for a golf trip and stayed at The Sol. We loved the house, it was a unique historic Charleston redone into a great vacation rental for our 8 Guests. The location was perfect, one block from King St with all the best restaurants, bars and shopping! The house was also within 20 minutes of some great golf courses that we really enjoyed!
The management company, Charleston Vacays, did a great job. We had an easy self check in and they answered any questions we had, as well as gave great recommendations!
This was a great place to stay for my Bach! We loved how much space there was for all of the girls and we had enough room to get ready in the very spacious bathrooms. We had never been to Charleston before so were impressed by the location and how close it was to everything. We loved having the whole property to ourselves and made dinner on the back patio. We spent the night at King St which was so convenient to get back and forth to the home. The owners left us a bottle of wine and were wonderful at communication! We will hopefully be back to stay with Charleston Vacays!
