Looking for a private sanctuary, nestled in the trees with outstanding mountain and ocean views, surrounded by local wildlife? Find it here at the Broadwater house, the perfect home base for all your Alaskan adventures! This 3 bedroom, 2 and 1/2 bathroom home is comfortable and well-appointed with jaw dropping views (upper 2 floors of house). The location in Eagle River in an exclusive neighborhood, is close to shopping with easy access to the Glenn Highway. You'll find a quaint pond across the street, with the Eagle River Nature Center, Mt. Baldy, and Eklutna Lake just a short drive down the road. We are set up with the nature enthusiast in mind, with a place to hang your wet clothes and boot dryer for your hiking boots and gear.

The house includes a huge private deck with a BBQ grill and two seating areas, including a dining table with fire feature. Inside is a beautiful gas fireplace, spacious living and dining rooms, fully stocked kitchen, full size laundry, and a desk with multi-function printer. You will also love having Wi-Fi access and DirecTV channels, so you don't miss your favorite shows! The kitchen includes a Keurig coffee maker and coffee/tea bar, a microwave, toaster, blender, dishwasher, waffle iron, and full size appliances. Be sure to hit the snack bar and hydration station when you walk through the door!

Guests will enjoy a contactless check-in process with hosts sending your personal door code in advance of your stay, along with local recommendations for shopping and attractions.

The master bathroom features a lovely indoor whirlpool "Jacuzzi" tub - sorry no outdoor hot tub.

The house includes outdoor security monitoring for the safety of guests at doors and parking areas. We strictly adhere to VRBO policies to ensure privacy and security of hosts and guests. This unit includes the top 2 levels of a 3 level house and relies on a well for water service.

Wow! Beautiful and comfortable. This property is just as advertised and with an amazing view off the back and deck. Extremely clean and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Beds were very comfortable and everything is well kept/maintained. The host provided excellent communication with easy check-in/out.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The house is immaculately clean and well stocked with every amenity you could ask for. The view from the porch is breathtaking. Place was easy to find. Host was very friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

What a beautiful property. Well appointed & thoughtfully decorated. The view is as pretty as the picture; the location great - flower garden & back porch were lovely & neighborhood was quiet. The host was responsive & gracious when we were there. Two reasons for the 3 star review: internet access - a router reset by the internet co. was needed & restart of it on our end. The TV worked & were able to get on wifi, but none of our devices connected to the internet. By mid morning is was resolved.The second issue was that of water. We are aware of the property being on a well. My parents, who traveled with us, are also on a well & we are familiar with how they work. During our Wed-Fri stay, our party of 5 had trouble having enough water getting a daily shower, filling the coffee pot & brushing our teeth. The first night we were there, we had run 3 loads of laundry is succession, and that evening we couldn't fill the coffee pot. We waited and were able to run a tub, but had to wait over an hour to fill the tub to jet level. In the morning, my parents tried to show and only a trickle came out, that evening, the same thing. The next morning only 1 of the 5 got a shower; the others just took a sponge baths. I kept thinking it would get better.There were guests staying downstairs as well as our party. Parties of 2 would be more functional. I tried 3x on VRBO to msg host about this issue after we left, and I have not heard back. That much for no showers was disappointing.

I cannot recommend this home and amazing host enough! The house is beautiful, the views are incredible, and the amenities are better than any hotel hands down!!! We stayed a handful of nights in mid summer and after an incredibly long journey we’re thrilled to find some miscellaneous snacks already in the house (microwave popcorn and Rice Krispie treats) so we didn’t have to go back out until morning. The check in process was seamless (I particularly liked getting a door code I could actually remember!)The bedrooms are great, with lots of cozy blankets and fans to keep the air moving, both of which got some use with a day that had highs in the mid-50’s followed by a day where it hit high 70’s. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed after a quick grocery run to make some breakfasts and dinners. The deck is absolutely amazing! My wife and I loved enjoying our coffee out there looking out at the mountains in the distance. The only negative, and it’s one we were able to work around, is the water pressure is pretty bad. Growing up on a well this wasn’t too bad for me, but don’t try to flush a toilet or wash dishes while someone else showers.

Spectacular views!

Outdoor space at this home was phenomenal. Views were spectacular! We enjoyed the large living room with the big TV for entertainment. Beds were comfortable, home was well stocked with extras like blankets, dishes, games, spices, some necessary toiletries. Kitchen was well stocked and we also used the grill on the deck several times. This was a very comfortable home for 4 adult guests with plenty of room to share and also to spread out. Also a nice central location for the many day trips we had planned.

Loved the home, it was beautiful. Had everything we needed. The main suite was perfect and our stay exceeded our expectations. We loved all the extra amenities and the views were great. Would stay here again if we were in the area!

Paradise in Anchorage!

Beautiful property, gorgeous views, comfortable beds, well stocked home with everything you need, beautiful outdoor deck for cooking out, quiet and peaceful neighborhood. We very much enjoyed our stay, the property manager was very quick to respond. We will definitely stay here again!
Spectacular view from the deck. We loved relaxing here. We cooked steaks on the grill and enjoyed dinner on the beautiful fire pit table.

Great location with terrific views. Very nice house with generous space. Everything comfortable and well stocked except snacks and ground coffee. There were six in our party and thought we might have had extra towels, etc. Cynthia was very responsive and did provide additional washcloths the next day. Read description carefully, each extra person over four is 125/night. Again place was great. One other note, both showers are upstairs, if you have mobility issues, just be aware. All in all, would definitely stay here again. Luci Mae’s nearby has incredible sweets, quiches and pot pies for sale.

Breathtaking views, this host has thought about absolutely everything for this home. From extra hated blankets, to a huge array of entertainment games.the house is perfectly nestled in the middle of lush greenery. The house is missing a hose bidet and the toilets are too short for my old body, the stair case needs railing. Other than that, there is no other complaints. Didn't put damper on my trip

Well-provisioned but needs a bit of work.

Clean and very well stocked. Good communication. Some basic functional things need work like ditch the air fresheners, hot water delivery, fix the ceiling fan. Doesn’t need an overhaul but needs the right basics at that price for a better rating.

This property is so welcoming

Loved this property. Turley so many nice touches and feels like home, away from home. Close to town. Gorgeous views, nice Appliances and well stocked kitchen. I forgot tooth paste and every bathroom was well stocked for guest. We would stay here again and highly recommend this home.

Perfect getaway house

Great place to stay. They had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathroom, etc...quiet spot with a great deck. Very convenient location. 100% recommend and I wouldnt hesitate to stay there if I ever visit Alaska again.

Spectacular views from a pristine home!

This home is absolutely gorgeous and had many extra touches that were so nice and above most host homes. We loved the spacious home with first floor bedroom. The master suite was beyond expectation, extra large and roomy, oversized tub and plenty of closet space and even make up desk.Kitchen was fully stocked and even had some basics and spices available for use. The deck...oh the deck! Such a beautiful space we all gravitated to for dinner and sitting around the fire table watching the sun sink below the mountain view. the bathrooms also had several items to make the stay easy and if we had forgotten anything it was there and available to us. After checkout the cleaning team found a stuffy animal that was accidentally left behind, the owner sent a photo and when we confirmed it was ours a very happy little girl got her stuffy toy returned in the mail with a cute little card too! Very nice owners. PROS: LOCATION (close to town but felt miles away), quiet neighborhood, view for sunset was breathtaking, fully stocked kitchen, very clean, comfortable beds, fireplace in living space, plenty of seating on deck and fire table, gas grill for cooking, top notch laundry room with detergents/softeners, plenty of bathrooms, games provided for entertainment of kids. CONS:only minor con was there was a "downstairs" tenant (walkout basement apartment) We tried to be conscious of walking quietly but with wood floors and kids it was tough. They never complained so I guess we did ok!

Loved the location to go North and South of Anchorage to explore. Very well stocked for those flying in to tour. Beautiful outdoor spaces and views. Very comfortable beds. Loved it!

Sunsets on the deck

Excellent property. We chose it because we wanted to tour the Alaskan Native Cultural Center, Iditarod Headquarters, and Independence Mine State Park, all within relatively convenient trip distances. Everything you see on the property listing is as it is onsite. Host Cynthia was timely in responding to the few questions we had.
