Great views, hot tub, champagne bubble tub, fireplace.
Located just a few miles from Fredericksburg and right in the heart of many of the Hill Country Wineries, this 1925 farm home has been transformed into an elegant, romantic home away from home. It can accommodate 2-6 people. Over 300 acres surround the house great for walking and enjoying nature. Guests are welcome to drive or walk to the Pedernales River and bring fishing equipment to try your luck. Being a working ranch, many cattle and horses are seen roaming the property. The front porch has a swing and rocker enticing rest and relaxation. Inside, there are two bedrooms with private bathrooms each with a champagne bubble tub and a separate shower. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all of the necessities needed for your stay. Outside the kitchen a wood porch deck leads you to a large private deck with table and chairs plus loungers. But the best part of the deck is the large hot tub waiting for guests to enter.

Monica and Marc Jacobi met in college in the 70's, and found out they had a lot in common. Their dreams included family, keeping close friendships, travel, cooking, and some day living in the country. Just a small place, with a swing. And after raising 4 children, and all of their other teenage friends, it finally happened. It took us 3 years to find our special place, but we found it...360 acres nestled in the Texas Hill Country. Wild Life, Fruit Trees, River, guests, family memories, treasures abound, the utter peace and quiet, the beauty, it is truely a blessing. We just had to figure out how to pay for it!!
That was easy, we love to travel, we have lots of friends near and far, we have 4 children, all we have ever done is feed everyone, entertain, and everyone loves to visit the Hill Country. We had these cute little houses on the land, that had been built at various times since the 1920's, and owning and running B&B's seemed very logical to Monica. Marc on the other hand had to be convinced.
Our family, almost all, have enjoyed our labor of love. The houses needed quite a bit of updating, but we wanted to keep some of the old world ambience. Marc our CPA, had to keep Monica on budget. Dad was retired, but helped out so much it wasn't even funny. He knew how to do almost everything. And we loved the free advice, and the free help. Thank You Dad! And Mom, well she was a doll, taking photos, fixing meals, and manning the fort (or their own ranch) while Dad was busy working with us. But when my husband asks me where I want to go on vacation, I always say, why go anywhere, I live on a resort. Unless, it is to hear our daughter sing, I guess we wouldn't go very far. We love our place and hope you will join us here some day. Sex sells, in this business, and so we try to make the B&B's very romantic, but we also cater to families, so there are games, and nature for all.
Monica Jacobi purchased this cottage in 1998
We tried to make our little houses feel like homes away from home. We would love to have you as our guests. Some like to say howdy, and some want the seclusion. Whatever your wish is, this place hopefully will heal hurts, make loving memories with family or friends, and remind you of a simpler time, a time that our parents and grandparents enjoyed.
This property is located right in the middle of the 290 wine trails. It is just outside one of the cutest little German towns in Texas with shops and great restaurants. Among the Crepe Myrtles is located on a 360 acre working ranch with a game barn that has a ping pong table and horseshoes. There is picnicking or fishing at the river which is about 1/2 a mile stroll. There is abundant wildlife to capture, along with horses and cows. The best part about this property is you can just sit on the front porch overlooking the hill country and rock away your cares.
This was my second time staying at Monarc Ranch and my stay was just as wonderful as I knew it would be. Monica and her family took very good care of us. Anything you could want or need is provided and then some. It is a great getaway from everyday city life and a perfect place to come for a romantic getaway (my husband and I came for Valentine's Day) or to bring the kids along, like we did for this visit and make life long memories. We spent a few days in town (Fredericksburg is an easy 10-15 minute drive away), but I would be happy to spend all my time on the ranch. It's so peaceful! My favorite thing to do here is to sit around the fire making smores and drinking wine. I also enjoyed drinking my coffee out on the porch with the sweet kitty that likes to come and visit. My kids LOVED all of the outdoor games and I couldn't get them away from the ping pong table. I can't wait to come back!
I brought my elderly Dad, who was recovering from an operation, to Fredericksburg for a weekend getaway in 12/16. I wanted to be near the wineries and downtown but also in someplace where we could get a little R&R. This home was absolutely lovely; it's located just a few minutes off of the highway but you feel like you are in the middle of the country. It is clean and has a very cozy ambiance on the inside with decor that makes you feel that you are at home. Each bedroom has a jacuzzi bath, there is a nice TV, and they include freshly baked goods as well as many other basic amenities in the kitchen. Our stay was short, and the only regret I have is that we didn't have more time to explore the surrounding outdoors, as we did notice several deer and turkey as we were driving up to the home. I would definitely stay here again!
It's always a pleasure to stay here. The hot tub and champagne tubs are such a treat, and the homemade goodies are delicious. The beds are comfortable, and it's very private and quiet.
I just had a girls weekend with 5 other girls, and everything was AWESOME! There was baked goods and snacks, the house was decorated for Christmas, the beds were comfy, everything was perfect! The hot tub was spacious and relaxing, we had so much fun. We all loved the house and didn't want to leave. Great location too, close to everything in Fredericksburg. Monica truly loves what she does and it shows.
We just returned from a wonderful Thanksgiving stay at Among the Crepe Myrtles. The house is so pretty and comfortable with two bedroom suites that have separate tub and shower! Very private spaces for two couples. We brought our Thanksgiving meal and warmed everything up in the country kitchen which has all the utensils and pots and pans you might need. The location is a beautiful and relaxing ranch property with cows, horses, and lots of deer. Our dog enjoyed being a ranch dog for a long weekend. When we arrived at the rental everything was clean and sunny with a Welcome sign on the front porch which also had seasonal decorations and a porch swing. In the kitchen, homemade pumpkin muffins and biscuits awaited us and with it some homemade jam. It was an easy 15 minute drive into Fredericksburg for shopping and visiting the Christmas Tree. All in all, one of our favorite vacation house rental experiences! Thank you, Monica!!!
My husband, daughter and I had a wonderful time staying at Among the Crepe Myrtles last weekend. We loved being on a ranch and seeing cows and horses right outside the house. There were also many deer in the area, which we don't get to see living in a big city. It was great to feel like we were in the middle of nowhere, yet be only about 15 minutes from Main Street. Homemade biscuits, grape jelly and pumpkin blossoms were provided and the fridge was stocked with milk, eggs and cereal. There was even hot chocolate and a Smores Survival Kit. Monica was nice enough to bake my husband and I a delicious chocolate cake in celebration of our anniversary. We never had to eat breakfast or dessert out. The hot tub was nice and of good size. We spent both nights relaxing in the hot tub. The beds were comfortable and there were bathrobes available for use. There is a fire pit outside with logs provided. There is even a ping pong table. The paddles were weathered, but we still had fun playing. We would definitely stay here again. Monica and Marc seem to enjoy renting out their B&Bs and were very friendly over email and quick to answer any questions we had. It was a brief stay, but we had lots of quality family time together.
