Rest and Relaxation

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful beach house. The house had everything we needed and was close to St. Augustine for a fun afternoon of shopping and dinner out. We really enjoyed the quiet beach with plenty of space for our family to spread out. The oceanfront balconies were also perfect for evening chats after longs days on the beach.

Overall stay was great; 2 things preventing 5 stars, we weren’t aware the driveway is extremely steep, we couldn’t drive or park our sedan on it/use the garage so we had to park on the side of the road the entire trip, don’t take a car with low clearance if you’re planning to use the garage! Also, one of the upstairs toilets and basement toilet were clogged, and we spent an hour trying to plunge but no luck, wish this was taken care of before our arrival. Besides these issues, everything was great, and location/views were amazing!

Fantastic location and house!

You can't beat the oceanfront location. This is one of the nicest beaches I've stayed at in the St. Augustine area. You can walk for days! The house is clean and just as the listing advertises. The property manager and maintenance crew were a pleasure to deal with and super responsive. As others have mentioned, the driveway is incredibly steep and narrow. It is not for the faint of heart since the house abuts a very busy main road. We only could get one car parked and maneuvered in the driveway even though it lists as 4 car spaces. Also, the first floor king bedroom ensuite doesn't have functional HVAC so it was chilly in January. The property manager purchased standing heaters which was very accommodating. The house is very comfortable and ample for large groups. I'm already looking forward to coming back next year!

House filled with Mold

This is a beautiful house that has been poorly maintained, such that at this point the house smells like mold and actually made a few of the guests sick with the poor air quality. The management company did nothing to remedy the situation and told us if we wanted to change out the ac filters ourselves we could. VTrips was terrible to work with and I will not rent anything from them again.

Great location and beautiful beach

The house was the perfect location with great beach access that wasn't too crowded. Perfect for our big family. It was very clean and the beds were very comfy. We weren't notified of the construction happening next door which caused problems with our water and wifi being turned off. Also, the bottom floor air unit wouldn't cool like the rest of the house. After reaching out, the rental company fixed what problems they could and made it right. We also were naive about how steep the driveway really was, but we made it work. Overall this has been our best vacation home and we would book again.

High Tide location great

Great house in great location on Vilano Beach. Bath on 2nd floor needs a towel bar or hooks. Loved everything about the house except the driveway. It's a deal breaker. Way, way too steep incline. Would not stay here again only because of that.

Enjoyable Vacation

The house was extremely pleasant and very spacious. Beautiful views off the back and plenty of natural lighting. Pictures aren’t accurate off the back with the dunes. Higher tide comes all the way up so that there is no beach for a little while. Otherwise everything is wonderful.

Nice location, house needs maintenance

We had to have the cleaners back on day 2 and they were there for 2 hours. The filter for the AC had to be replaced, it was black. On day 3 we lost the power in all the kitchen outlets and we I told them about it they never got back to me. The driveway is extremely steep and should be in the description. Linda don’t work, windows are fogged up. Maintenance required.

Was ok

The property is on the ocean and the beach is magnificent. The house is ok. We brought my elderly parents and the house was a real challenge due to the very steep (and scary) driveway as well as the many stairs (the last stair to the beach is missing which makes for fun). The house had basic utensils but didn’t have a working can opener or even a bottle opener. Worst of all, each day we found a cockroach in the bathroom.

Great Beach Get-a-way

We really enjoyed our time at High Tide! We LOVED being right on the beach. You cannot get a better location. The only downside was that the ac in the downstairs bedroom doesn't get below 78 degrees and the driveway is VERY steep!

Lovely setting, great kitchen and space for entertaining. Note, bring own blue tooth speaker !!

There were 8 family members, we were here for a wedding. The home was lovely with good space, however, there were several things that do need attention. I did write them down in the guest book. The coffee pot lasted one day. It was on its last leg, so we bought a new one and left it for the next guests. The wine opener was broken. The hair dryer ( only one) was about to short circuit so was not usable. The toilet paper holder in lower level bath was broken, as was the screen door on main level. Guests be aware to bring your own dish soap, hand soap, etc, as there was a very minimal supply of all, especially hand soap.... a few slivers was all that was there.

Beautiful home with breathtaking views

This beautiful home has a stellar open floor plan that is great for a crowd. It has gorgeous hardwoods through out with plush beds, tv's in each room and huge dining room table. Walk out onto the beach and double decks add to one's stay. Note: driveway is very steep. Great hosts and great stay!

Nice place but pricey.

Driveway is extremely steep. Required all vehicles to use low gear to get up it. Also balcony raiilings are very low. An accident waiting to happen. But the place is very nice. Great location on the beach. Wish hosts would have allowed a couple hours of late check out. 10 AM is pretty early after 3 days of Widespread Panic shows.

Only complaint was there was nothing to clean with. No sponges or windex or any cleaning products not even liquid dish soap
