About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

Fabulous views of the bay on Brevort Lake. This home will easily accommodate 10 people and has a large dining area and family room.

Brevort Lake is a 4400 acre all sport lake surrounded by Hiawatha National forest. The bay offers privacy and access to the big lake and sandy dunes. You are close to I-75, US2, Lake Michigan, Taquamenon Falls, Salute Ste Marie, and Mackinac Island to name a few.

This is a great place for boating, swimming, hunting, and snowmobiling. 12 months of the year this home has it all.

About The Owner

My husband and I bought this home in 2007 and did a great deal of updating and improving. We are so happy with how it has turned out, and we spent a lot of time in the lake while the renovations were going on. We have 3 young children and live outside Detroit.

The Owner purchased this house in 2007

Why The Owner chose Upper Peninsula

My husband spent a lot of time in the Upper Peninsula as a child and fell in love with this area.

What makes this house unique

Being on the more private bay of a large lake is great. It's very quiet and relaxing on our property yet we can be in the big part of the lake in a few minutes. The sunsets are my favorite part of this property.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. We fell in love with Brevort Lake! Our 2 yr old girl and 5 year old boy had so much fun playing in the beach area. They made so many wonderful memories here-from making s'mores to catching toads we had such a wonderful time that even my 5 yr old is sad that we are leaving tomorrow. We hope to come back next year!

better than pictured

  • 5 of 5

We rented this cottage for a long weekend (two senior couples). The web site pictures don't do it justice. This three level home was much bigger than pictured. One bedroom (queen) with one bathroom on the same floor. Two bedrooms upstairs (queen and the 3rd bedroom has a double plus 4 single beds) There is not, however, a bathroom on the upper floor. The other bathroom is on the lower level. The home was clean and well stocked with dishes, condiments, towels, a bbq grill and lovely little beach area. The only disappointing thing was that it was pretty isolated in a wooded area and 1/2 drive to St Ignace. If renting for a quiet get-away it would have been perfect. My grandchildren would have loved it. Would definitely recommend this one!

1 amazing week on Brevort Lake

  • 5 of 5

This cottage we stayed in was absolutely perfect! Our kids had such a great time here. We relaxed and enjoyed the lake, the location in Boedne Bay was perfect, the water was never rough and the sunsets were amazing, the yard and patio had ample shade, and the lake was clear and clean. We could not ask for much more and are already looking forward to a return trip.........maybe 2 weeks this time as 1 may not be enough!

Can't wait to come back again! Great time was had by all

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was clean and ready when we showed up. It was larger than expected and big rooms made it easy for everyone to gather for meals/games. My kids loved the bunkbeds and campfires by the lake. I cant tell you how many times my kids jumped off the dock, it was hard to get them out of the water. The lake and beach are perfect. The owners were very helpful and directed us to an relatively unknown "spelunking" adventure near by. Thanks for sharing your home with us We'll be back

we had an excellent time!

  • 5 of 5

we loved the cottage! we stayed with 2 young girls who really enjoyed the bunk bed room. they swam all day in the lake, we enjoyed beautiful sunset views & then we relaxed at the fire pit in the evening.

house was clean & very accommodating, having 2 full baths was great for the girls, as was the TV area.

thank you so much, we would definitely stay here again, and we have already recommended it to several of our friends in the Grand Rapids area.

Owner's Response: We are so happy you enjoyed your stay; the kids always love the bunk bed room! We also think that evenings out by the fire pit are the best--fabulous views of the sunset.

Fantastic Location and Great Home

  • 5 of 5

My family spent December 29 - January 2, 2010 at this rental. The home was perfect for our family. It is very comfortable with plenty of space and the bedroom layout is great for large families. The pellet stove was a nice touch, keeping us warm and cozy as we enjoyed the view of Brevort Lake. While we were there, we enjoyed snowmobiling, talking around the outdoor fire pit, hiking, icefishing and the great local restaurants.

We can't wait to visit again during the summer season!

Owner's Response: The cottage is so much fun in the winter. My family loves walking out on the ice and seeing all the ice shanties. The snowmobiling doesn't get much better than up here! We hope to see you in the warmer months too.
