We have backgrounds in arts, education and landscaping. Before moving to Costa Rica, we have lived in Belgium, Ecuador, Spain and Colombia. A couple of years ago, we decided it was time for a new adventure and set out on a quest for the perfect spot.

We found this spot at Geckoes Lodge: a most private and luxurious holiday accommodation, set in a stunning rainforest background. We fell in love immediately and decided to stay.
We go the full mile to maintain the beauty of the surroundings and minimize the impact on the rainforest and its inhabitants. Therefore, we commit to sustainable development, eco-friendly practices and environmental consciousness. Our operating practices and the houses are designed to fit the landscape rather than vice versa.

Geckoes Lodge has four holiday houses in a magnificent rainforest and river setting. It is only minutes from some of the world's most beautiful beaches.

The Caribbean coast of Costa Rica is where the rainforest meets the ocean. This area is stunningly beautiful and development remains small-scale, which means more beach, nature and wildlife to enjoy.

This is the perfect place to be. Here we have everything one could wish for: a spectacular property, beautiful nature, a warm sea and a fantastic climate. What we don't have is high-rise buildings and big developments but instead, plenty of individually owned restaurants and businesses with a great mix of nationalities.
