Why Maya chose Cantón Talamanca
The amazing beachfront location in Punta Uva!
What makes this Bungalow unique

Best location in the area in my opinion
Steps from the beach. Very secure. Good working a/c in both bedrooms. Attentive cleaning staff. We stayed there for two weeks without a car and found it no problem. Highly recommend.
Great location and sweet bungalow!
We could not have been happier with the bungalow! Very relaxing, so close to the beach, nice garden, the outdoor shower was a hit and the inside of the bungalow was clean and met our needs. We prepared breakfast and lunch ourselves, and went out for dinner each day. Oh, and the sloth living in the tree outside was a great bonus! Wish we could have stayed longer.
Too close to public access
Pick up this house and move it to a more private part of the beach, and it would be a perfect getaway. It had everything we needed for a nice stay. But, the nearness to the public beach access was a disappointment and the fact that people seemed to like to gather right in front of this house made it not so nice for our supposed private access. We even had people coming into the planted area just off the beach directly in front of our house to change clothes or relieve themselves. Really not nice.
Hello Nancy and John! We are really sorry that you had that bad experience. Punta Uva on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica is kind of secluded beach usually except in Easter week but that was not your case.
My wife and I stayed for a week and enjoyed the extremes of weather; sunny, mild and an incredible storm. The bungalow was perfect for both. When it was nice we enjoyed the best beach you can imagine right in front, I mean, just out the door, pick a spot in the shade, under the palms to read, then in for a dip, repeat!! When it stormed we walked a short way around the point where the water was calmer to swim and were able to enjoy the bungalow when the power went out because there were candles and a gas stove to make a memorable dinner. It was windy so the fans weren't missed, quite comfortable.
Another reviewer mentioned the security and I agree it really is like Fort Knox. We never felt in any way like the neighborhood had anything to worry about, but it was nice to swing the big wooden door closed and not have to worry about even the remotest possibility of any hi-jinks.
The other outstanding feature of the property is the property booking and management company. Caribe Sur Rentals and Green Management treated us like we were their most important guests ever and I'm sure that's the way they treat everyone. The bungalow and grounds were clean and presented more like a fine resort than a vacation rental. They are as good at what they do as you could ever expect!
We are a couple in our very senior years and some might say are more picky than we used to be, but we couldn't have been happier with the way we were treated and our stay at Robinson's Beach Bungalow.
A special place
My wife and I recently stayed here for two weeks and had a wonderful time. The location is excellent, the area has a multitude of activities and Stephanie with Caribe Sur Rentals was always available before and during our trip to answer questions, help with reservations and make recommendations for restaurants and activities. The house sits behind Punta Uva beach on a beautifully landscaped lot and as noted in another review has all amenities. We took a jungle tour with Abel Bustamante which was exciting, educational and fun, visited the Jaguar Rescue Center in town(private tour recommended) and the Wildlife Rescue Center in Moin, hiked Cahuita National Park and couldnt find a bad restaurant. As always, the incredibly friendly, helpful, gracious Costa Rican people made every day a treasure. As an example, we got lost trying to find the Moin Wildlife Rescue Center and ended up in some industrial complex where a guard who didnt speak English got a guard who did to give us directions. Well, we got lost again and another local person offered to help and was calling the center on his phone for directions when the guard we spoke with pulled up in his pickup truck to make sure we were okay. He had followed to check on us. The only disappointment we had was not being able to snorkel. The water was excellent for swimming and body surfing but too rough for snorkeling. You can check the surf levels at www.surfline.com if interested. So, lots of stuff to do close by and/or relaxing/ reading in a hammock listening to the sound of the water aint bad either.
I stayed at this house for two weeks in Feb. 2014. It is just absolutely beautiful. U have continuous hot water in the shower, AC in bedrooms, (I didnt need it), potable water dispenser, (cold water), and streaming wifi. The beds are firm but nice and comfy. The kitchen has all the basics you need. There is an electronic security system and the place locks up like Fort Knox. Anyway, I didnt come for the house, I came for the location. The location is well, TO DIE FOR. OMG!!! It is heaven on earth, thats all I can say. You must explore your immediate surrounding beaches and the jungles. There is so much beauty and wildlife it is unreal. Bring your cameras and binnoculars. Within walking distance from the house is Arrecife Restaurant, which is a great little soda. Its like having a hotel restaurant bar, lol. IT IS WONDERFUL THERE!!!!! I have nothing bad to say about this house. Green Management was more than accommadating, setting up appointments and giving suggestions, etc. It was just a great time and I felt at home.
Punta Uva, where the Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge starts. The coast is composed of two bays, separated by Punta Uva point. You will find to the south the district of Arrecife, and to the north a large bay surrounded by jungle vegetation. This is one of the best spots within the region for snorkeling. Don't miss the river kayaking. A small road of about 6 km "Paraíso road", leaves from Punta Uva and crosses the hills to join the road leading to Bribri at the border with Panama.
