The Blue Oak is nestled in the center of the iconic historic downtown St. Charles. We are only a few steps from Main Street, The Katy Trail, and the Missouri River. There is little the downtown area doesn't offer, including fine and simple dining, shopping, bike rentals, yoga, fishing, casinos, museums, you name it!

Every detail of your stay has been purposefully crafted to give you the best experience possible, and help you leave feeling refreshed. We look forward to you enjoying your stay!

Modern and Mid-Century design housed in a Craftsman style bungalow. We have comfortable sleeping arrangements for up to 10 guests!

We have 7 comfortable quality mattresses!
1 queen, 1 full, 1 queen sleeper sofa, and 4 twins.

Lots of natural light , living space full of character, original wood floors, newly renovated throughout! Safe, friendly, and highly desired neighborhood. Keyless entry and private drive (as well as ample easy on street) parking. Enjoy our huge backyard/patio with a cozy fire pit, flower and fruit gardens , hanging cafe string lighting, fire lanters, and wicker dining table/chair/ottomans for 10 guests. Relax on our covered front porch with a local pastry (yep even GF) and cup of coffee or tea ☕️ with patio string lights. Grab one of our yoga mats 🧘🏾‍♂️ 🧘🏼‍♀️ or small array of workout gear 💪🏼and enjoy getting your blood pumping under the canopy of 100 year old maples. We offer complementary coffee/teas. You will find fun spots for 'photo booths' on the grounds too! We have games, books, and chalk boards for the kid at heart. Let your artistic side shine with our fun art loft stocked with new art supplies. The bathroom is completely remodeled with brushed gold fixtures, deep tub, subway tile and Italian style floor tile. We have the practical like a smart TV, 5G super fast WiFi, and a work space. We got you covered! If you need anything specific, please just reach out.

We loved the kitchen area and bathroom. Gina had everything we needed(supplies, doggie bags to incense.) We loved sitting on the front porch for HH. Location can't be beat. Turn to the left and walk down the hill to the historic district and bring back delicious meals. We walked our dogs everywhere in this cute neighborhood. Our trip was about cycling on the Katy Trail and access to the trail from the home was probably 2 min. An added bonus was walking, shopping, visiting restaurants in the lovely HD. Our Ford 150 Truck just barely fits in the driveway, but it was nice having offstreet parking.

key game fun but only found 23, host said some may have been moved or even removed by previous guests. disappointed in twin beds. I did not know that the twins were in the upper level and 2 of those beds were like trundles (low on the floor). Fortunately we ended up not using those 2 beds. Also did not find the step stool for the really tall bed until we were ready to leave. Might need to put the stool in the open and not closet. Host very easy to work with. payment reasonable and so convenient to main street in St Charles.

While it was a quaint house in a good location, I had some concerns about safety. A guest had an accident from a faulty bedroom door. The door was not property latched and the solid oak door fell on her head. There were no signs or indication that this could happen.When I notified the host, the response was not what I would expect; informing us that there was no problem and it working as normal.The guest then called the host to further explain her experience. The host was not empathetic with her situation and, in turn, hung up on my guest. She then followed the phone call with a text telling us we need to vacate at 11am ( our checkout) and that the police would be called to escort us off if we were not gone by then. Keep in mind the group consisted of four ladies I their 60s; not sure why she felt this was necessary. I suppose she discovered that the police will not do such thing unless there is a true threat. The reason I say this is that she had a young male sit outside the property to verify that we left. This was probably the most troubling part of our stay; I felt uncomfortable and ill at ease by having a stranger hover over us while we ended our trip.In conclusion, I have stayed at a Vrbo many of times. While I’ve enjoyed much of those stays I have encountered issues but these issues were always met with care from our hosts. Never have I encountered such a host who is not willing to work with the guests and, even goes further to intimidate them.

We had a great stay at the Blue Oak. It's in a nice, quiet neighborhood close to everything. The hosts were quick to respond when our door code wouldn't work. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to St. Charles.

Cozy retreat right outside St. Louis!

We had a wonderful stay in St Charles. The house was just as described. Short drive to St. Louis attractions. Many dining options near by. We loved exploring the historic downtown area. The house was clean, cozy and as described. Easy check in and check out. Would definitely stay here again!

Great and relaxing visit

This property is very nice and in a great neighborhood! It is within walking distance of Main Street and many restaurants and shops. My daughter, her children and I had a GREAT experience. The home has many fun things for family time and even for the kids to do on their own. This didn’t feel like a house….. it felt like a HOME!!!!

Lindenwood Visit

Pretty good house

The house was very clean. Floor boards were pretty creaky, so we had to tiptoe around when the kids were asleep. Beds were pretty hard. The upstairs room can get hot if the a/c doesn’t stay on.

Enjoyable stay!

We had a one night stay with Gina and it was exactly what we needed to enjoy our time in St. Charles. Location was perfect for a walk to Main Street or a drive to our brunch location. The house was decorated cute and had all the things to make it convenient for our group.

Hi! John and Gina here! We got started in the short-term rental world almost by accident! We have been flipping homes since we were first married 16 years ago and decided to give it a go with one of our flips. We haven’t looked back! We love what we do and are Superhosts on AirbnB with almost 300, 5 star reviews in just TWO short years! We love curating experiences and going above and beyond in hospitality for you and yours!

Our homes have gotten so much attention on how well they are remodeled and designed that it organically grew into us becoming local home designers and decorators. We do custom kitchens and baths as well as flip homes and own several short term rental properties. As you can imagine, we also do consulting as we get asked quite a lot for guidance in this market. YES, we are busyyy!

We have 2 smart and energetic kiddos, Liam age 9 and Willow age 4! They are each other’s best friends and worst enemies and pester each other every chance they get. So when we are not running our businesses, you can find us breaking up fights between those two!

Over the years we have really been able to offer a place for so many different and unique people and their stories. This is by far my favorite part of hosting. We got to reunite a father and his son after 20 years of being apart. We were allowed the humbling experience to give a family a soft place to land after losing 4 children and their mother in a house fire. We have hosted so many celebrations and fun times for girls weekends, mother/daughter trips, couples getaways, and staycations. It is more than just hosting for us, it is hospitality and a chance to make this world a more positive place for all of us!

A great walking route to nearby shops and getting to historic Main Street: take a left on Fourth, take another left on Perry st. Walk a couple blocks and you're there! LOTS of variety within walking distance.
