This quaint family cottage has 120' of private frontage on beautiful Torch Lake. Clear, Cold and Colorful describes Torch Lake and has been ranked as the third most beautiful lake according to National Geographic. The property is nicely landscaped. A creek runs along the north side. a dock with a platform and stair ladder into the water, a swimming raft, a deck with patio furniture and a gas grill. . Boat and Jet Ski rental available across the lake. Cottage is located at north end of lake on east side, featuring breathtaking sunsets from the deck! Torch Lake Sand bar is 15 miles to the south. Bathroom recently renovated. Master Bedroom has a queen size bed and additional bedroom has two twin beds. Bedrooms on creek side, offering a pleasant and soothing lullaby to fall asleep to! New flooring added 2021.
Golf Information: Located minutes from Antrim Dells, A-Ga-Ming, Shanty Creek, Schuss Mountain and Boyne Mountain. Grand Traverse Resort & Spa located 32 miles south.

Boating: Boats are welcome. Anchor is moored out near raft. Boat access 2 miles to the north in Eastport.

The Quaint Cottage is just the right size for my son’s family. They enjoyed staying there and being close to the larger rental let them come and go easily. Another wonderful week on Torch Lake with great accommodations!

A great place

Very well kept, clean and in a great location. My wife loves falling asleep to the sound of the running water in the brook outside the main bedroom window. Highly recommend.

My wife and I were extremely please with our stay. The home is a quaint rustic cottage as described. We loved the fact that the home has remained mostly original and has that weekend retreat feel. The grounds were immaculate, beautiful lake view, peaceful setting at the north end of the lake. The host Dawn was excellent in her communication and description of the home. We will definitely stay again!!!

Torch Lake Stay

Cabin was great - family also rented larger home nearby - so much of the time we were at the larger house. Nice accommodations and well kept. Looking forward to next year on the lake!

Green Cottage

My son’s family enjoyed their stay at the Green Cottage - with close proximity to the larger rental, it allowed privacy but the opportunity to be with the rest of the family. We are looking forward to renting again - thank you for a great vacation!

Nice vacation

I spent a week here with my two sons, sister, and dog. The house had everything we needed. The boys and dog loved the canoe. We had fun relaxing on the patio and swimming. The landscaping and setting was beautiful and the sound of the creek was very relaxing.

This was even better than expected! Beautiful sunsets! Right on the water. Hearing the waves lapping up on the shore while sitting on the deck was just so relaxing! Highly recommend this place to stay!

Escaping the Florida heat

Very clean property on great lot, beautiful lake with big deck for lakeside relaxing. This is a typical northern Michigan cottage and close to grocery stores and farmers markets. Hoping to rent again.

Cozy Cabin

Wonderful lakefront cabin. Very comfortable and had everything we needed, with a lot of extras! Everything was super clean. The shoreline is perfect with a little sand and then transitions to rocks. But they are smooth and pretty flat. The deck at the cabin was amazing. We spent so much by time sitting out there eating, reading,and playing cards

Well Kept Torch Lake Cottage

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. It was a bit cold this week in June, so we didn't spend much time down by the water. The heat worked well but the furnace is quite loud, so consider that if you are visiting during cooler months. The location is convenient to traveling into Bellaire for shopping and meals. Communication was great and the cottage was very clean and comfortable.

Perfect!

We stayed for the second time at this beautiful cottage. It's the perfect spot for a relaxing and fun week at one of the most beautiful lakes ever. This time we brought our boat, which we moored. The mooring ball is in about 5' of water, so it's a short swim, but a secure place to keep the boat. We enjoyed all the place offers - canoe, fire pit, picnics on the lawn, coffee on the deck, sunsets on the dock. We hope to return yet again!

Great Cottage on Torch

Overall things were fine. Some things could use updating. In particular the heat system was extremely loud and made it difficult to sleep. Mind you we were there in October for fall colors. Mattresses could use a refresh too Host was awesome and I would consider renting again.

The outside of the property is charming. inside was a little dingy. bedding was nice and bed was comfortable. bathroom situation was another story. toilet not working properly and leaking a little on the floor. after 2days toilet would not flush at all. contacted owner and got no response. nothing was done or said we spent two days out of the house because we didn’t want to overload the bathroom and the septic. overall i am disappointed in our stay!

Classic cottage

My partner, myself, and our 2 Frienchies stayed at the cottage the 3rd week of June 2024. We loved it!!! The weather was a bit mixed, and the lake was chilly. Beach is nice sloping sand and the grassy side yard was perfect for our dogs. The beds comfortable and listening to the creek as we were sleeping was soothing. The only wish list we had was not being able to dock a boat overnight. The cottage only has a mooring buoy. This end of Torch Lake is peaceful and quiet and about a 30 minute boat ride to the sandbar. We absolutely enjoyed ourselves and are hoping to book again next year.

Lovely old school cottage.

This is a well-kept little cottage in a great location on the east side of Torch Lake. The lot is well-landscaped and lovely, with a great little side-yard on one side, and a babbling stream on the other. The exterior of the house appears relatively recently refreshed with what appears to be fresh paint, shutters, stone work, and decking. The inside is old school with wood paneling, linoleum, and formica. We really liked it, but for those who need an updated kitchen, etc., maybe not the best choice. The description says it sleeps 7, but that would be very tight.

A disappointing 2nd visit

The outside of the property is lovely! Cottage interior needs updating. Back screen door broken, pull out sofa bed broken and non-functional, kitchen needs updating. Additionally, there was a miscommunication on their end which was handled poorly by the owner and caretaker. Very disappointed and won’t be staying here again.

My husband and I purchased a home on Torch Lake in 1969 (right next to our cottage) where we raised our family until a fire consumed our home in 1984. We then sold the property in the late 80's, where a builder built two homes. I have lived in central Florida since the late 1980's. One of the homes came available for purchase in 2005 which we bought and I personally summer there. I had purchased the cottage in 2001 that is located next door for my family to vacation. When they are not using the cottage, we rent to people to allow them the unique experience of Torch Lake living. It is truly an experience everyone should have in their lifetime.

Why they chose this property

Lived on Torch Lake from 1970 through 1984 and then in Central Lake until 1987 where we relocated to central Florida to retire. Cottage became available for purchase in 2001, which was located next to where we lived.

What makes this property unique

Watching the beautiful sunsets; listening to the babbling creek during the night (with windows open); relaxing, sunbathing and swimming.
