We had a great time at the 11th street apartment. My husband is now saying he wants to move to the Village!!. We walked and walked and enjoyed all the different eating venues that were available to us. Loved Washington Square and getting anywhere in the city was easy. We’ll be coming back soon. Thanks for all your help.

The 11th Street apartment in a great location. It was filled with so many wonderful eating and jazz places. We wanted to stay longer. Next time we will. Also the 14th St. express subway was close by and we could get uptown very quickly. All in all we had a fantastic time.

This was a perfect place the West 11th Street flat for us. We enjoyed our accommodation, location and our entire vacation was very special. We must come back again. The quality of jazz was superb. There were so many great places to dine and we had so much to pick from. We even caught a show at Times Square and get uptown to the museums with little trouble. NYC’s underground was very easy to negotiate.

Lana, Australia

This accommodation was very enjoyable. We had so much to do, and loved all the places to eat and shop. We walked all the way to Soho down from MacDougal Street where we found an amazing number of shops, restaurants and we loved all the galleries too. We took the underground to Time Square and even went up to the Museum Of Natural History which was thrilling. All in all we had a marvelous time.

Anna, Austria

We had a great time at West 11th Street. The apartment was very comfortable. There were so many places to eat very close by that we had no need to cook or bring something back.. Being in this part of the city is cozy and quiet and also with so much to do and the flat was simply perfect

Adele, , Arizona

We wanted to let you folks know that Bev and I had a tremendous time in New York last week. We really enjoyed staying at the West 11th Street one bedroom apartment and we slept very well. We don’t have anything but nice things to say.

Thanks again.

Our stay at the W. 11th St

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the W. 11th St one bedroom in March was very enjoyable. We love the cozy, residential feeling of the West Village and in our opinion it is the best part of the City. The apartment was clean and well equipped. This location was not only convenient but we are always thrilled with all there is to do such as countless cafes, bakeries, restaurants, jazz spots, off Broadway theaters and galleries. Thank you for your recommendation to go to the Comedy Cellar. It was so much fun. We will definitely be back again.

Kind Regards

Lydia DC

West Greenwich Village is the best

  • 5 of 5

Great location if you are a walker. Within a few blocks are jazz nightclubs, the subway, grocery stores and Chelsea market and the high line. Within one block are several restaurants if you don't want to go far.

Apartment was clean, bright, and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

The apartment was clean and bright and comfortable. It was located in delightful Greenwich Village, and I’d not stayed in that neighborhood before. I did think it was noisy in the early morning hours due to garbage trucks, but I did sleep with the windows open. It got extremely hot for a couple of nights, but I was fine once the air conditioner was put in—-the weather was unpredictable in late May. The property owner and the man who managed the unit were very helpful if I had any needs.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking time to write a response. Unfortunately NYC is not noise free. I was born in Manhattan and there was always some noise to contend with but your location is a residential street which makes it quiter. Other then that I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and location. Best Regards Varda

Cozy Apartment in Fantastic Location!

  • 5 of 5

The flat is small but comfortable for 2. Most studios are not much larger; it's great to have the separate bedroom for an extended stay (we were there for a month). It is not luxurious (doesn't claim to be), but it has wonderful old building ambiance. There are 48 steps to the flat, so not a good option if you can't do stairs.

You couldn't find a better location; there are too many options for dining, drinking, and entertainment within walking distance to list. The building is quiet, never heard the neighbors. There is a little street noise from trucks and weekend party goers, but not much for New York, especially if you keep the windows closed.

The 14th St/8th Ave subway has elevators, making it easy to drag your luggage to/from there when going to/from the airport. It's painless; just another plus for this location.

The building manager, property manager, and owner are all very responsive to any needs you might have.

As of this writing, they are waiting for a City permit to turn the gas to the stove back on. So there is no conventional cook top or oven. Instead, there is a single electric burner, very large electric skillet, toaster, and toaster oven. If you want to cook, some modification in your cooking style may be required. There was also no air conditioning, but we only had a couple hot days so the ceiling fan and table fan sufficed. If you are going in the summer, you might want to check on that as there appears to be a window a/c unit in a closet.

All in all, a fantastic place! If we go back to NY, we will definitely try to stay there again!

Owner's Response: Dear Barbara: Thank you for your review. There is no AC in the winter but as soon as the weather gets warm the AC is put in. I'm glad you found the alternative cooking equipment adequate. There is also a toaster and microwave and coffee maker. I am very happy you enjoyed your stay and the location. New York is a food Mecca. I actually lived near by St and never eat one meal at home. I do hope you come back again. Best Varda Best Regards Varda

Out favorite place to stay in the city

  • 5 of 5

This was one of many times that we have stayed in this lovely apartment. We always feel at home and find it warm and comfortable. It has become our home away from home. The bed is very comfortable and we enjoy our morning coffee and pastries that we get from the wonderful Magnolia Bakery that is very close by. We adore the neighborhood that is welcoming and cozy but also offers a huge variety of places to eat, great, music and theater. We love the The Whitney Museum which is close by. It’s an easy walk to the Chelsea Market which has amazing food. It is very easy to get around the city from this spot. We must say that the Village is our favorite place in the city and we look forward to staying here again next year.
