We had a great time at the 11th street apartment. My husband is now saying he wants to move to the Village!!. We walked and walked and enjoyed all the different eating venues that were available to us. Loved Washington Square and getting anywhere in the city was easy. We’ll be coming back soon. Thanks for all your help.

The 11th Street apartment in a great location. It was filled with so many wonderful eating and jazz places. We wanted to stay longer. Next time we will. Also the 14th St. express subway was close by and we could get uptown very quickly. All in all we had a fantastic time.
This was a perfect place the West 11th Street flat for us. We enjoyed our accommodation, location and our entire vacation was very special. We must come back again. The quality of jazz was superb. There were so many great places to dine and we had so much to pick from. We even caught a show at Times Square and get uptown to the museums with little trouble. NYC’s underground was very easy to negotiate.
This accommodation was very enjoyable. We had so much to do, and loved all the places to eat and shop. We walked all the way to Soho down from MacDougal Street where we found an amazing number of shops, restaurants and we loved all the galleries too. We took the underground to Time Square and even went up to the Museum Of Natural History which was thrilling. All in all we had a marvelous time.
We had a great time at West 11th Street. The apartment was very comfortable. There were so many places to eat very close by that we had no need to cook or bring something back.. Being in this part of the city is cozy and quiet and also with so much to do and the flat was simply perfect
We had a very nice stay. It was a perfect spot for us being right in the heart of the village. The manager was also very helpful.

Out favorite place to stay in the city
This was one of many times that we have stayed in this lovely apartment. We always feel at home and find it warm and comfortable. It has become our home away from home. The bed is very comfortable and we enjoy our morning coffee and pastries that we get from the wonderful Magnolia Bakery that is very close by. We adore the neighborhood that is welcoming and cozy but also offers a huge variety of places to eat, great, music and theater. We love the The Whitney Museum which is close by. It’s an easy walk to the Chelsea Market which has amazing food. It is very easy to get around the city from this spot. We must say that the Village is our favorite place in the city and we look forward to staying here again next year.
Thank you so much for writing such a nice review. We are so thrilled to have had you as a guest for so many years. You and your wife are terrific people. I'm so glad you enjoy this apartment as much as you do and that the location is so satisfying and fun for you. See you again. Best Wishes.
Here's to a great Village stay
Loved it. Our apartment was full of charm. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The building manager was there to meet us when we arrived and was very gracious. He suggested places to go and grocery stores and great bakeries. We love jazz and there was no shortage of great music. Our location was very convenient to the uptown express train or cross town to Union Square. We also enjoyed off Broadway theater and took in some fun comedy at the Comedy Cellar that was recommended to us. They also had great food and drink. We loved to stroll around and go into the many shops that were close by. We had a wonderful stay and hope to come back soon. We have already recommended it to our friends.
So glad to hear you enjoyed yourselves. It was a delight having you. Please come again.
Dirty apartment, aggressive unpleasant owner
We arrived late in the evening after dark and so didn’t notice until the next day how dirty and shabby the apartment was. The duvet smelt dirty, the dishes in the cupboard were covered in dust & dirt, the microwave was disgusting and had what looked like mouse droppings on top and the bathroom had hairs (!) on the floor. The wardrobe in the hallway had a shelf which was absolutely filthy. The floor of the apartment was dirty.
We immediately contacted both the agent and the owners who were in the building (Carl & Linda). While Carl was reasonable and seemed keen to sort out the problems, Linda was the opposite. While I was talking to Carl, she started shouting at my wife. Her tone was extremely unpleasant and she said things like “why would anyone want to use the shelf in the wardrobe” and “I can’t be expected to clean that shelf”. She then started banging the chest of drawers shouting at my wife saying that is where clothes should be stored.
I asked Carl to remove this person from the apartment and eventually she left.
We cleaned the apartment ourselves and continued our trip as we had paid them the previous evening. We raised this issue with the agent who ignored our complaint. We also asked for a part refund to compensate for the distress and the fact we had to clean the apartment. This was ignored.
Our only bad experience with Homeaway who we use all the time and have found it to be usually excellent. Do not stay here.
I'm glad the building manager who was there to greet you took care of all your concerns immediately and even purchased a new quilt. We are so glad you enjoyed the rest of your stay.
Extended month stay at W 11th
This is a a great little gem in a wonderful part of the West Village. I stayed here for two months and found that the apartment had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable with a mattress topper, and I love the rain fall shower head in the bathroom. The owner and caretaker are very helpful and responsive.
