Beautiful View Great Stay

The home is charming and offers a beautiful view of the water—whether you're relaxing on the patio or enjoying the scenery from the cozy living room through the large windows. The location is ideal, with a short and easy walk down to the lake, making it perfect for both quiet mornings and fun lake days. Lovely home with a beautiful view of Lake Whatcom in a quiet residential neighborhood. Enjoyed the daily visit from the deer and some does had fawns with them. The house was well stocked with everything needed including laundry soap, paper goods, coffee, etc. It was a convenient home base to visit the many other areas and take a ferry out of Anacortes to the San Juan islands. Great trip for us and would definitely stay here again!

Lake View Lodge in January

This is an exceptionally lovely place to stay no matter the season. The location with a lake view in the front, and golf course views from the back couldn't be more lovely. The hosts have made a very comfortable and cosey place to relax. Great neighborhood for walking, running, and exploring. Wonderful hiking trails nearby, and the local Mexican and Italian restaurants just a short drive away were a wonderful surprise!

The place was great but the owner was standing in the driveway taking pictures of us at 11:01 at check out, then called us at 11:10 to tell us to leave. Cleaners were there until 4pm on the dot at check in so don't expect any early/late check in/out. Also heard from some not so friendly neighbors that short term rentals are not allowed in the neighborhood. House was nice though, good views and comfy.

Great Place to Stay!

We had a wonderful time here. It has a beautiful view of the lake, but you're really not far from Bellingham.The only reason I give it 4/5 is because it wasn't accurate to say in the listing that you can stream movies/TV. I spent more than an hour trying to get the streaming to work either through the TV or cablebox, but it wouldn't work. I asked for help, and it didn't help. Two streaming platforms and cable not working--clearly I wasn't the first to experience this.I wanted to mention it in hopes that they fix it for future stays, so you don't have to experience the expectation of that amenity, and not have it available.

Misleading

Everything was good until checkout. After checking out we were charged 500 extra without notice or explanation. We were charged extra money for additional guests although they were still in the 6 person count that was advertised. We were accused of staining bedding with Ketchup and using a blanket as a towel which is ridiculous. Those were additional 250 of charges we were hit with. Although we were credited for the false “damages” after disputing them. Extremely unhappy with false claims and charges.
