This unique space has amazing appeal. Within walking distance of every point of interest in Saint Michaels; including the Auto Museum, the Maritime Museum, the local YMCA and numerous restaurants. A stunning view of Saint Michaels Harbor, with the combination of work boats, powerboats sailboats and visiting yachts. Another view of the “Old Mill” which houses Lyons Distilling, the Winery, Eastern Shore Brewing, and numerous craft shops. You will be in a quiet corner of this maritime community.

Note for longer-term renters -- Laundry room is available upon request.

St Michaels Running Festival

We enjoyed a wonderful 4-night stay. The location is great, walking distance to downtown. The space was perfect for the two of us, with beautiful views and incredibly accommodating hosts. Would highly recommend for couples or an individual looking to explore St Michaels.

We had a great stay in St Michaels. Apartment has private entrance and is well furnished with everything we needed. Enormous comfortable bed! Easy walk around town to numerous restaurants, bars and museums. Lovely place to stay and highly recommend.

Perfect spot!

This spot is absolutely lovely. From the outside to the entry foyer and the living space itself you feel like you've stepped into the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. Every amenity you might need has been thought of and is available. We appreciated and utilized the refrigerator, freezer and counter oven. The location is just right for walking into town.

Great Spot

Accommodations perfect for the two of us. Very clean, nice view of the water, comfortable bed and within walking distance to so much. Hosts provided for guests as they probably would like a host to provide for them. Very comfortable stay! Hope to revisit!!

Anniversary celebration

This is a wonderful property in a wonderful setting. There is a good view of the harbor which is only half a block away. The suite was very clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. Our hosts were wonderful.

Exploring St Michaels

We were most impressed with the layout, very tasteful styling and comfort of this property. The location is excellent. We were made very welcome by host Bill Morrison who provided very useful information about the area - things to do and restaurants to savor. On a beautiful evening we enjoyed watching his boat.in the regular Wednesday sailing race. We would strongly recommend this property for a comfortable and friendly getaway.

Perfect getaway weekend

This harbor view suite, Mostly Porches is a gorgeous guest suite. It was perfect for our long get away weekend in St. Michael's. It’s extremely clean and includes all the comforts of home, also plenty of privacy. Its luxurious accommodations exceeded our expectations. Amazing location allowed us to walk to all the shopping and popular restaurants and wineries, breweries, coffee shops, etc. Thank you to the owners, Bill and Leslie for being such great hosts!

Perfect

The place was spotless and beautiful. It’s just a few walkable blocks from the center of town. The apartment is very quiet and private. The bed was comfortable. A great place to sleep late. I will stay here again next time I’m in town. The owners are kind and not in your way.

Mostly Porches Exquisite

Lovely suite with everything we needed. Close proximity to restaurants, shopping, museum and marina. We walked everywhere! Enjoyed afternoon wine on the porch before heading out to dinner. Bill and Leslie (and Buckley too!) were great hosts. St Michaels is a beautiful little town with lots to offer. We would stay here again.

Great Location

We had a wonderful 4-night stay at the Harbor View Suite. The suite was the perfect size for a couple, and had all of the amenities you could want. The bed was very comfortable and it was easy to adjust the air/heat to be comfortable. Bill and Leslie were great hosts. Very friendly and accommodating. The bottle of wine and snacks that were there for us was a nice surprise. We would definitely stay here if/when we next visit St. Michael’s. 5 stars!

Bill and Leslie have 2 adult sons and 3 grandchildren. Bill recently retired from a career in biotechnology. Leslie is a family administrator and chef extraordinaire. Both share a passion for sailing on the Chesapeake. In his spare time, Bill is a USCG Captain on the local Harbor Shuttle, volunteer for Christmas in St. Michaels charity, and a member of the Finance Committee at the Miles River Yacht Club. Leslie organizes the "Tour of Homes" for Christmas in St. Michaels, and is an active volunteer in several other local organizations.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We first sailed to Saint Michaels in the late-70s and were immediately attracted to the maritime ambiance and history of this unique community. Careers pulled us away from the area, but as we approached retirement, we invested in a "weekender" with a choice location near the harbor. We worked with a local architect to craft our vision of a low-country home that blended with, and enhanced the neighborhood. In 2018 we moved into our new home and have enjoyed putting the finishing touches on it since then. In late 2022 we obtained a license from Talbot County to rent the adjoining suite. We look forward to hosting couples from near and far, so they too can learn about and enjoy this maritime community.

Walk around this historic maritime community. Relax in our pubs and restaurants. Visit the rum distillery and brewery just 2 blocks away. Stroll along the harbor and soak in the view of local waterman workboats, pleasure craft, sailboats, and yachts that often stop in St. Michaels while transiting up and down the East Coast. Engage with the locals and your fellow tourists, and take home stories that will be repeated again and again with family and friends.
