We live in a northern suburb of Chicago - born and raised! It's been a family love affair with Door County since my parents brought my sister and me up to DC as babies. They purchased Ephraim Condo #323 in 1976 and my husband and I became owners in 2005. Our love affair with Door County continues as we enjoy all it offers - nature hikes, art galleries, antique shopping or just staying at home to enjoy a fire and read.
The Owner purchased this condo in 2005
It's the most charming and beautiful vacation area in the upper Great Lakes. Midwest Living Magazine proclaimed Ephraim the #1 small town in the Midwest. Other periodicals have described it as a bit of New England in Wisconsin. Each season is beautiful in its own way - fall for its spectacular colors, winter for its quiet solitude, spring for its flowers and cherry blossoms and summer for JUST PLAIN FUN!!
Cools nights in front of the fire, watching the sunset from the private beach, walking the back roads along the limestone bluffs and participating in local festivities.
I love this condo. It is in the perfect location to enjoy Door Co. Being in the center of the small towns that make up Door Co. it is easy to explore the county--north, south or east. The condo's private beach is beautiful and a wonderful way to spend a relaxing day. It's easy to walk to town for coffee (love Leroy's), ice cream (Wilson's,a Door Co. fixture) or a lovely sunset over the bay (of course with an ice cream cone or cup of coffee).
The condo is a nice size and very comfortable. WIth it's 2 private bedrooms and 2 bathrooms there is plenty of room. The kitchen is well equipted to keep and cook food if you want to eat in. There is a private balconey off the living room that overlooks the grassy condo grounds. It is a nice place to read, visit, relax.
I look forward to being able to stay there again.
Art galleries, performing arts - Peninsula Players and other local theater groups, tours of several lighthouses, guided nature walks, historic buildings, annual town festivals throughout Door County - Fry Bal, Pumpkin Patch, Fall Fest, Holly Days and numerous others, - cave tours, ferry rides to Washington Island and much, much more for you to discover.
