Ok place

This is our third vrbo in last two years. Location is great and neighborhood is quiet/residential with dock that works ok. It’s in a no wake zone but many people don’t abide by rules so be sure to add extra padding on side of your boat if you choose to dock. The cleaning service was ok. Trash bags weren’t already placed in bins for use, the cutting boards in drawers had crumbs in them, no baking sheet (which is standard kitchen supply to make bacon/bake veggies), only one mixing bowl, and downstairs bathroom didn’t seem like it was mopped. The sliding door didn’t close easily and the screen door is practically broken. There were a ton a carpenter ants and a wasp we killed in the house, and spiders (which is expected on lake), but I would have expected the deck to be cleaned up day of arrival more and cobwebs dusted off the bbq and walls outside on deck by doors. It’s maintained but barely. Half the electrical outlets did not operate inside house, and light switches seemed unclean. Due to electrical outlets not working, it made the extra study room unusable for remote work. Also it was unclear if fire alarms were actually up to standards and deck slanted upwards towards home at an incline and stairs didn’t meet safety standards especially with kids. That being said, inventory is scarce in this area so it was ok for a week as you really have limited choices. Should alter expectations coming to a more rural area or expect to pay more at other spot
