INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens & towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.


E-Checks are accepted for advance reservations at no additional charge (15 days prior to check in). All credit card payments will incur a 3.5% convenience fee.

We loved the location. 5 minute walk to the beach if you walk slowly. The house was great for us. We did have a couple minor issues that were resolved quickly and with great communication from the host. They were very responsive when a furnace needed to be replaced. The house worked very well for us and could have easily accommodated two more couples.We didn't really use the pool next to us, but others did and it was well maintained and clean. The neighborhood was also a nice surprise and was very quiet and had a nice place quiet road to walk the dogs.All in all, we had a great experience. Thank you to the host and owner for their open communication and response to our questions and minor issues.

Overall okay place to stay. Bedrooms were clean and bathrooms were up to date! Living area could use a bit of an update. Dryer was broken and they were trying to fix during our stay. There was a pet fee (which is expected), however, the couch had a large stain on it. I would also like to mention that we were told a few hours prior to our arrival that the management company was just informed the beach access for the neighborhood was closed. This was not true information as it was posted everywhere in the neighborhood that the access was being closed the week before our arrival. They were not working on it, so I would find it fair to ask before booking. You certainly pay more to have one that close (right across 30A) and it would have been fantastic if it was available. There is public access nearby but we were advertised private access that was not delivered.**The listing is still not changed and states the access is open and is one of the key features of this home. It is closed. **

30A Retreat

We had a great time staying at this home to kick off the summer! It’s on a much quieter end of 30A near Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach, so it was really nice. You just walk straight down the street to the beach entrance. The only issue is that if you want to be on that part of the beach, you have to rent an umbrella and chairs in order to stay. Otherwise, you have to walk a little further to the right or left to get to the public beaches. Had a great time overall, and it felt like home!

Last minute vacation

Booked this one week prior to staying. Cottage was spot on in fitting our family’s needs. Of the 3 bedrooms, only 2 have TVs which we thought was strange. And of those 2, we could never get cable/live TV or anything to work. The A/C had a service issue but panhandle worked quickly to get someone out to repair it. Overall, great location for the price!

Great location!

Location is walkable distance from South Walton Beach. Can ride with bicycles to close-by shops (The Big Chill) and Publix as well as Seacrest Beach shops. These reasons make the house worthwhile to stay in. The house is neat and clean. The outside deck and barbeque area is not a prime spot of the house as it was too hot to sit there. There is no outside fan and we had to buy a broom to sweep the debris off the deck. We could not use all the bicycles as the lock did not open with the code provided and the bicycle renters were not interested at all to sort this little problem out for us.

2023 Vacay

We loved our stay and took advantage of the free rounds of golf. The only think that confused me was the deeded beach described in the rental description. I found out that you can enter through the private gate that leads to the deeded beach area but you have to walk to the public beach and use that area. We don’t have any issues with the public beach but we rented this house thinking we would be able to use the deeded area. The public beach entrance was actually nicer because it has an area ti rinse off. This wasn’t a huge problem but thought it was misleading. Loved the house and the blankets provided as sometimes extra blankets are not in most rentals. Also LOVED the free bikes that goes with the rental.
