Cute and convenient to all the places we wanted to visit. Walking distance to restaurants and shops in San Marco, short drive over the bridge to Riverside Art & Farmers Market, 5 Points or cycle the Baldwin Trail. The neighborhood is quite. Andrew was a good host, very responsive. Easy check-in once we figured out the address is in the alley. Plenty of parking. We definitely recommend!
This place is GORGEOUS, however Im sorry to report that it was infested with roaches during my stay. It was really disappointing because they note "sometimes they sneak in" but I tried to convey that it was absolutely an infestation as over 4-5 species were seen all day and night consistently….every corner, in the refrigerator, in the MICROWAVE, on the bed, in every cabinet, in the TOASTER. Therefore, I could not relax, I could not get comfortable at all but had to stay here bc I paid for the whole time and could not afford to just leave and hope to get money paid back. I had to endure, which was extremely stressful and I lost money from all the food I bought to cook and had to buy meals instead of cooking. I was very sad about it, because if this wasn't the case I would have given this place 5 stars. One issue however besides the infestation was the bed frame- it was completely bent in many areas and just kept getting worse (and Im trying to be gentle, using other sides of it, etc) so that really hurt my back. I must say I felt heard by the hosts, as they were extremely responsive, nice and as helpful as they could be. They also offered me a bit of a refund, which was appreciated. If they can figure out the source of the roach problem, this place would be immaculate. I feel it is necessary to publicly share this danger, because you can't have these pests get in your stuff or contaminate your food. I was diligent about that, but again, that's pretty darn stressful.
Booked this using vrbo for the first time ever. The bed and couch in pictures first off, are not what is in the unit. The wifi did not work the entire time we were there and owner just kept telling me to reset the router instead of coming to fix the issue. This was frustrating because I had to use my hotspot to be able to work… No propane was in the tank for the grill. Shower head felt like BB gun pellets. We came back the day before we were supposed to check out and our “neighbor” was outside naked with a blanket slightly draped over them. That was the final straw, we got a hotel for our final night. I called Vrbo to let them know I was checking out early and the first words out of the girls mouth on the phone were “ you’re not getting any money back.” I never asked for money back nor was I planning to. She then proceeded to hang up on me. I messaged the host and let them know we left early as well due to the issues we were having, completely stopped responding to me. I will never use Vrbo again.
