This Beautiful Mountain home is located just minutes from Mt Lassen National Park. The home has been updated with modern cozy furnishings. Brand new appliances, paint, and flooring. Large windows look into a Beautiful pasture with a view of Mt Lassen. The house can sleep up to 6 people.
There are 3 bedrooms with 2 Queen beds and a bunk bed .The Star Gazing is Amazing. There are 6 Adirondack chairs for comfortable seating while you enjoy the Night sky. After a day of hiking and enjoying your day at Mt Lassen National Park, come sit and relax in a Mountain Valley setting. We are a convenient drive to Shingletown where you can grocery shop at Reeds Market with a sit down or take out deli, Pioneer Pizza parlor and Bar, Scoops sandwich and Ice cream parlor, Dollar General, 2 gas stations, Liquor store, Thrift and Gift store, and more.

Great location for hiking at Lassen Volcanic National Park. The property was clean and spacious for our family of 5. We enjoyed the backyard and visiting with the goats, Bucky and Elvis.

Lassen Park

This house was in a perfect location for visiting the park and it was as advertised. It is right on the highway so there is road noise, but loved the wide open back with cows and goats. Would recommend owner provide kitchen pots and pans and basic necessities for cooking since it is a long way to good restaurant options. I would recommend staying here.

Great property 10 minutes outside of Lassen Volcanic National Park

The location of the property was amazing; we could easily drive in each day to explore Lassen Volcanic National Park. The property has apple trees, cows in the adjoining pasture, and goats in a pen which my kids loved and hung out with every day. Really cute decorations throughout the home and very responsive owners who live nearby if anything is needed.

Perfect for our weekend

This house was perfect for our weekend exploration of Lassen National Park. Very clean, comfortable and close to the park entrance. Loved the setting and scenery around, the goats and cows were a great surprise. It’s close to the highway which makes it easy to locate but also includes some traffic noise. Luckily, this didn’t interfere with our sleep and we would definitely stay again.

Great house close to Lassen National Park

Lovely house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Remodeled with great taste. Clean and cosy. Less than 10 minutes drive to the park entrance, 10 minutes to the nearest town (Shingleton - has a pizza place and a nice grill restaurant inside Ace store). We had a great time, I recommend as an excellent place to stay when visiting Lassen. Note: no AC, so can get a bit warm during the day in the summer, but cools off nicely in the evening.

The positives: This rental property is conveniently located and surrounded by farm land making it fairly private from neighboring properties. The kitchen has a nice refrigerator and decent electric stove. The outdoor grill is conveniently located and has fuel. From the patio you get a nice view to Mt. Lassen through neighboring trees. In general the interior of the house was clean and presentable. The beds were comfortable.The negatives: The kitchen is tight for more than one person and has no dishwasher. Half the plates are made of non-microwave safe plastic. The listing said the kitchen is “fully stocked” but we didn’t find any salt or much in the way of useful tools including mixing bowls which I’d consider basic. The patio needs some work and is a trip hazard, the outdoor furniture needs cleaning, the living room chairs are not good for lounging at all and traffic from the state highway right out front can be loud.

Positives: * It would almost be impossible to be any closer to Lassen National Park. Location, location, location!* The indoor property looks just like the pictures. Except for the the bedroom with 2 beds. For some reason the hosts have not updated their property pictures, the bunk beds are gone and replaced by 2 beds side by side.Negatives:* As the reviewer who stayed here the month before stated, the kitchen is this side of basic if you want to do any cooking during your stay. I did not find measuring spoons, no aluminum foil... etc. * This reviewer also stated that there was not the most basic, and easily replaced, kitchen basic: salt. We stayed a few weeks after them and were greated by, apparently, the very same empty disposable container of salt. We had to go to the store and purchase a container of salt. * On the morning of our stay, that we were on the road and not able to repack, we received a message that the heater for half the house (living room, kitchen, dining room) was not operable. Giving that we were staying in October and the evening lows were in the mid 40's this became an issue. We were able to build a fire in the fireplace to keep warm at night. We had to corral all the room radiators from each of the 3 bedrooms to give some heat during the mornings. An important amenity that was not functioning and we got a notice less than 6 hours before check in... Not a reasonably timely notice to guests.

It’s unfortunate that you did not find the cabinet that has a variety of spices and seasonings. As you know the house is equipped with well functioning Radiant heaters and a well stocked fireplace. For our guests convince we were in the process of installing a new gas heater. At the time of your visit, we were waiting for the fuel to be delivered. For our guests comfort and safety we reconfigured the bunk beds into 2 separate beds. We are always available to assist our guests with any questions they may have.

If you Love to stargaze, This is the place! You will not be disappointed. The Milky Way and the Stars seem so close you can almost touch them. There is abundant wildlife to see here. Hawks, River Cranes, Deer, you may even see an Eagle.

The Benefit to stay in this house is that you are just minutes away from Mt Lassen National Park. A quick drive to Shingletown Ca. to get groceries, gas, food etc...
