Perfect getaway with family during thanksgiving!
The single story house was definitely a beautiful retreat! The pictures here didn't do the justice. The house was very CLEAN with BIG and stylish kitchen. All cookware, utensils and others are ready for us to use for the holiday meals. The living room was big with very comfy sofa and chairs, so our teenagers spent quite of time playing card and watched movies (yes there is a DVD player here). The 3 bedrooms are big and mattress are good too. Master bedroom has 1 queen & 2 single beds conjunction to the master with 1 full bath with 2 sinks and 2 shower heads. The 2nd bedroom has 1 queen size bed, and 3rd has 1 queen and 1 futon. There were plenty of sheets, blankets, toilet paper, tissues for guest use. So we never really in short of anything. Although the wifi was a bit spotty in the mountain, we thought it was a plus for our kids to be away from the phones/tablets. Besides garage, there were more than enough place to park under the front covered patio. Lassen Volcanic Park is around 20 mins away from the house, where we found many interesting trails to hike. One note is that the park might be closed during winter time. We were fortunate enough that it was opened the 2nd day, so that we could get in for 10 miles starting from the entrance. Again, highly recommend this place, and the owner is so easy to communicate to all our request in very timely fashion. We will definitely come back in the future!
Large, comfortable house near Lassen National Park
Very comfortable, modern house with all the amenities.
Lots of space.
Fully equipped kitchen.
We brought our 100% electric car, and were able to plug in easily to one of the outdoor plugs near the garage.
Loved this house, and would definitely stay again.
Bigger and better than imagined!
The home was larger and more specious than I had envisioned with a great floor plan that worked for our group of three families. The house is well located near Lassen Park and Burney Falls. The kids really enjoyed the almost tame deer.
Peaceful beautiful home
Loved it. Favorite part was the deer , they were everywhere. So tame they would eat out of your hand. The House is quiet & peAceful area. More then plenty of room for my family of 5
I would highly recommend this home. It's close to fishing , hiking ...etc
Beautiful Home in Peaceful Area
Mark's home was absolutely wonderful! We've stayed before and just love it. It's spacious and has everything you need to enjoy the beautiful area. We will definitely stay again!
You can never be sure if what you see online will live up to your expectations, but this home was not disappointing. It is clean and well kept and accommodated our group of five (3 adults and 2 teenagers) very well. Mark responded very quickly and helpfully with a couple of minor issues we had upon arrival. We would not hesitate to rent this property again.
There are over 150 miles of hiking trails within the Mt Lassen Volcanic Park which range in difficulty from a strenuous 5 mile round-trip hike up to Lassen Peak to a gentle 1.85 mile stroll around Manzanita Lake. If you are up for a day trip be sure to visit the 129-foot Burney Falls, which is not the highest waterfall in the state but possibly the most beautiful! You might also want to explore an underground lava tube located just 35 minutes away at Subway Cave...
