In the summer you'll love relaxing on the patio, roasting marshmallows over the fire pit, or cruising the lake in comfort in your very own kayak or pedal boat. During winter, a breathtaking sunset awaits in the sunroom after a day of ice fishing. No need to twist the paper to light a fire, all three fireplaces are electric.

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please make sure you are checked out by 10am so our cleaning team has enough time to prepare for next guests.
Make sure any a/c units, fireplaces, lights are turned off. In the winter please leave the sunroom door open at all times so heat can get into that space.
If garbage cans are full of trash bags, please take to the road for garbage pick up.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Great getaway place!

Great location

My son and I were in town for some work, I am a contractor. This place worked as a perfect homebase for us while we’re doing our work, but it was so beautiful. I can’t wait to bring my wife back for a personal trip.

The perfect everything

I want to tell everyone about this place and yet I don’t want anyone to get to it before us. Being able to drink coffee on a dock and bonfires u see the clear sky’s were just what we needed. This place has everything you would need. Grill, bonfire pit, full kitchen, private dock, close to what’s fun but away from the busyness of a city life. Perfect for a couples get away to a family event! We will be back!

Cute cottage great views

The cottage was close to my in laws battling health conditions. The owner has been a blessing with communication and early late check in for us. The cottage had everything you could ask for games kitchen was stocked. Everything was clean. We had 2 dogs with us it was perfect for them nice yard long driveway so space from the road. We loved watching the ice fishermen while we cooked and played games

Quick trip

This was a quick trip for me and my family just wanted to get away. The property was clean and had everything you needed or forgot. I love the area close to the Dells (30 min ride) and all surrounding lakes. We fished from the dock often and my son and husband went on the water in the paddle boat and kayak. Fishing wasnt great if you are looking for bigger fish but fun to catch small ones over and over. Would definitly go back. Thanks for having us!

I home was great, my husband loves to fish so it was a perfect places for him. My kids were all comfortable, but it could of been a little more clean. Sorry for the small complaint but overall I was very happy and the owner was very kind and helpful, I really appreciate the kindness, especially when we are from another state. Thank you very much.

Charming cabin for a relaxing getaway

We had a wonderful time staying here, making memories with our grown children for a week over the 4th of July. The cabin layout is very comfortable and the setting offers everything you need for a restful stay, with quiet neighbors and a peaceful lake view. The fireworks over the lake on the 2nd were truly epic (an unbeatable experience!) but the rest of our time there was relatively fireworks-free, which was appreciated. Friendship WI is a welcoming little town with a good local bookstore that has just opened up on the main street. We had a warm welcome at the Friendship Cafe our first morning for breakfast (they even had gluten-free bread!) and a fun happy hour at Los Morales Mexican restaurant. The one bathroom is small but very well appointed and comfortable. The kitchen is well outfitted, the grill and fridge are clean and roomy. The wifi worked well and accommodated zoom calls and a couple of productive work days. We thought about visiting a few sites in the area, but it was difficult (in a good way) to leave the cabin, where we played tons of cards at the new patio table, held an ongoing cornhhole tournament, and had fun designing our own t-shirts in our favorite room: The sunporch with comfortable daybed, smart TV, big table and windows on 3 sides. We did enjoy a couple of hikes in the Roche-a-Cri State Park, making our way to the gorgeous view at the top. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Cozy but needs some attention

We stayed here for a few nights in late September '24 based on the stellar reviews posted here. Unfortunately, we didn't share the same experience. The location was good and the views of the lake are great. For the most part it was clean, but with some exceptions. The carpet in the back bedroom was trashed...needs to be replaced or to be deep cleaned. There were pieces of acorns in the beds, between the sheets and underneath the pillows...an indication of mice and pretty gross to have to sleep in that bed. There were dozens of wasps outside the house near the soffits/fascia near the patio and even a few inside the house.The water has a very potent iron and/or sulfur smell which made it a bit unpleasant to shower or brush your teeth. The stairs leading down to the lake are very old and falling apart, making it dangerous to use. The electronics didn't work properly...the main A/C unit in the living room powered up, but the control panel didn't work so it was stuck on the default settings. The TV in the living room worked, but the remote control did not. It sounds like I'm bashing it, but it's really just a lot of little things that need attention and this place would be great.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this property the very first time we saw the photos. It's a cozy lake house in our favorite part of the state. Castle rock and friendship lake, the dells, buckhorn state park... the list goes on. You'll enjoy yourselves as much as we do each summer.

What makes this property unique

There are no neighbors! The shared driveway is with a local zip line company owner. The only time he is there is when he's taking a tour out. Besides that it's like having your own little oasis including private pier and a quiet, full rec lake.
