This Del Sol Beachfront Condominium is on a quiet, private beach road on Half Moon Bay, between Akumal Bay and Yal-ku Lagoon. It is located on the absolute sandy beachfront with world class snorkeling just steps away.

Our condominium is spacious, very light, and really comfortable. Rates include impeccable daily maid service, central air conditioning, an in-room safe, unlimited purified drinking water, flat screen TV with HBO and Cinemax, and free parking.

Great for families or two couples. There is a full time staff at the reception desk to assist you with anything you need during your stay.

Our stay at Vista del Mar was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helped in every way they could. We even had them bring us a grill

so that we could cook out on the beach and enjoy the bay! We rented snorkel gear from Akumal Dive Adventures and the guide spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable about the area. La Buena Vida Restaurant had a beautiful location and was fun to walk down to for happy hour each day.

Overall 5 star TRIP!!! We love Mexico and the local flair. Thank you for your service!

Value for money at the hotel

Just a quick thank you to the staff at Vista del Mar. Everyone was very sweet, accommodating, and responsive to any request we had. The housekeeping service was excellent - room was very clean everyday. Nothing fancy, just a simple room on the beachfront!

La Buena Vida Restaurant was an every-day stop for us during the trip. Excellent food, great service, and really fun environment. We had a blast there.

We used Akumal Dive Adventures only to rent kayaks for an hour. Service was great. Kayaks were missing their hatch-covers, but fine for our use (they didn't sink!). Reasonable rental rates were greatly appreciated.

We will be back!

Perfect location and large rooms!

This was my second time staying at Del Sol. I liked it so much the first time that I came back 2 weeks later. The location is perfect situated in North Akumal on the beach and has many accommodations.

Amazing views!!!!

We would definitely stay here again. Akumal bay is quiet and serene with two restaurants close by. Our favorite was the Buena Vida just a minute walk - great atmosphere. The one to the north was maybe a 4 minute walk along the beach and the food was delicious. We thought that we were staying in the bottom unit, but they put us in the top and said we could move down in a day or two. Once upstairs we fell in love with the view and a little more private feeling......we stayed upstairs and would stay upstairs again....we loved the view. The staff was super friendly. The bay was a little rocky at shoreline, but we did not have any water shoes just swim fins and did just fine.....swimming was great. If you have sensitive feet maybe bring swim shoes, but not needed. Bikes for rent out back - fun to bike around area - easy bike to Yal Ku lagoon and into town - Akumal Bay - lots of turtles in Akumal Bay....more people. Overall we loved the place and location. We will be back!!!

Everything we hoped it would be

Half-Moon Bay is a quiet, private beach area, for those who aren't looking for a "wild" time or Disneyland-esque (or Las Vegas-style) vacations. The condos sit right on the beach and it's a short walk to the Buena Vida Restaurant. The restaurant is reasonably priced and has an extensive menu, so you won't get bored eating there often. Best is that there are many tables and seats right on the beach under the palm trees. The condo was very clean and well-equipped. We didn't usually use the housekeeping service, but it is available daily if you wish. We rented a car to get around, but it wasn't absolutely necessary. Other guests use public transportation with no trouble.

The snorkeling is very good (lots of coral) right in front of the condo. There is also a (paid) lagoon snorkeling area in walking distance - lots of fish. We heard you could see turtles when snorkeling at the public beach nearby, but we never made it over there. Akumal is not real far from Tulum, which also has a lot of restaurants and some nice Mayan ruins. We regretted visiting Chichen Itza. The ruins are impressive, but the gazillion vendors everywhere selling pretty much the same stuff were a total turnoff and detracted greatly from the historic nature of the setting. Stay away!! We also took a tour in Si'an Kaan bio-reserve. It's a beautiful place and relatively unspoiled, but the tour itself was not too impressive. I was happy to support the natural reserve, though. It's important to encourage Latin governments to preserve these important, biologically diverse habitats.

Loved the Place!

Everything was great! The condo was perfect, the view was perfect, and the employees were very nice. I loved that we got the condo cleaned daily, taking care of all the sand we would bring in from the beach. The hammocks on the porch were a great addition. The restaurant close to the condo had enough choices, that we ate there at least 3 times. Delicious and nicely priced. The shops right there by the restaurant were also nicely priced compared to the city shopping. I do wish I would have brought water shoes though. The rocks on the beach were plenty, but weren't a problem once we were farther out in the water to snorkel. We had rented a car, allowing us to visit the ruins of Tulum, and party in the city of Tulum. It was an amazing vacation! I wouldn't hesitate to book again with Del Sol.

Our Caribbean paradise

Everything was excellent. The condo, the equipment, the service, the marvelous view on the beach and the sea. We enjoyed to snorkel in the sea directly in front of the condo. We saw adult and baby turtels, sting rays, baracuda and a lot of tropical fishes. Furthermore, we liked to have dinner in Buena Vida to go shopping in Akumal bay and buy fruits in Akumal pueblo. By car we visited the archaeological sites of Tulum, Coba and Chizen Itza. Very impressive! We enjoyed also a visit in Cancoon and the Isla Mujeres. It was a wonderful vaccation. Thank You!

Only the number of people reflected in the Rental Agreement are permitted to over-night at the dwelling.
No open flames such as bonfires, tiki torches, or bbq's are allowed on the premises.

Any behavior deemed inappropriate by Del Sol, including excessive noise, destruction of property, and any activities resulting in complaints from other guests may result in eviction and notification to the local authorities.

Del Sol Properties shall not be liable for any claim, loss, damage, cost or expense of any nature incurred by any person occupying or visiting the accommodations. This includes anything, arising out of personal injury, property loss, accident or death, loss of physical or mental enjoyment, delay or inconvenience resulting from any acts or omission by the owner of the property, or from any other party, any act of God, war, disease, strike, govern meal act, or any other event or cause.
