Vous vous sentirez comme chez vous dans ce "cottage" à 4 niveaux magnifiquement décoré au cœur des montagnes Pocono. Vous apprécierez la paix et la tranquillité de cette maison de montagne centenaire construite par Quaker dans un cadre communautaire calme avec accès à de nombreuses activités sur place et à proximité. Il y a plusieurs pièces au rez-de-chaussée pour accueillir une grande famille ou un petit groupe, y compris une bibliothèque remplie d'une grande variété de livres, un salon intime avec cheminée, une salle à manger pouvant accueillir 12 personnes, un salon spacieux avec cheminée, Téléviseurs et jeux, une cuisine bien équipée avec coin repas et une grande véranda couverte qui donne sur une zone boisée tranquille. Une grande salle familiale avec un juke-box est située au niveau inférieur. Une chambre supplémentaire, une salle de bain et une buanderie sont à quelques pas.

A l'étage, les chambres avec salle de bain peuvent accueillir huit personnes avec une chambre principale avec baignoire. Le troisième étage comprend un dortoir avec 6 lits simples, une salle de bains et un grand salon avec un lit rond très populaire.

Perfect Mountain Home

If you are thinking about spending time in the Pocono Mountains with friends or family, this is definitely a house worth renting. The home has character and charm with all the amenities you could possibly need. We loved the huge back porch with room for everyone as well as the large living room and for late night fun a basement with some games and an old school jukebox. Also want to say how nice the owner Elaine is. We already told her we will all be back again in the near future.

Very cozy and quite place.

We had such a great time with our three families. There were a lot of stuffs( for cooking) that owner let us use and enough towel,blankets and beds. Elaine was kindly responded all the questions quickly. The place was very unique and interesting. I think we come back soon when we have a chance.

A very pleasant stay

The house is lovely and very clean. The owners were very responsive and accommodating. We have two children, ages 6 and 3 years, and they really loved the cozy family room with comfy couch, large TV and gorgeous fireplace, where they enjoyed dueling piano and keyboard competitions all weekend. The house has lots of little surprises around every corner which is super exciting for children that age. There are a lot of antiques, but nothing to fussy where you have to worry about children breaking anything. I want to emphasize the cleanliness here, because many homes with old furniture seem dingy. The home is well stocked, so you really only need to purchase the food your family prefers. Will definitely stay again!

Amazing family weekend!

Such an amazing weekend! We were ten adults and three children, ages 3-7 years old staying in this home for a weekend wedding and family reunion. The house is so charming with old photos, books and knick-knacks throughout the rooms, which is an adventure in itself. There was plenty of space in this house, games for kids and adults, and we never felt crowded. The owners supplied plenty of everything that included towels, paper goods, dishes, spices, etc.! All previous reviews were spot on, and that information was well appreciated before arriving. If you prefer a more contemporary home, this may not be for you. It was a haven for our extended family, and we created so many wonderful memories this weekend and hope we can create more in the future. Elaine, the owner, was prompt to answer any questions throughout the weekend.

The owner is very very helpful. I booked the room for two days and when I called her late in the evening that I am about to come to the house in the night. She went back to turn the lights and AC on so we don’t feel uncomfortable when we come that late. The house is exactly how the pictures look. This was our first family get together in the United States and we are glad we chose this house. Everything is furnished perfectly. There were a ton of board games, LEGO in the basement. What ever you need you can find it in the house. Thanks for being an amazing host.

Charming Home in a Lovely Neighborhood!!

We stayed at this wonderful home for three nights in July 2019. It was perfect for our large group - 4 separate families with 8 adults and 7 kids. The neighborhood - Buck Hill Falls was so quiet and beautiful and we took multiple walks each day. We did a family hike to the Falls and went to the community pool every day. The pool was unbelievable with shady seating, kiddie pool, 2 diving boards, floating platform, lap lanes, and full snack bar/grill. The house itself is huge but still very cozy and comfortable. The entire home is extremely well stocked, with linens, books, games, movies. The kitchen was amazingly stocked - tons of dishes, cookware, utensils, napkins, paper towels, spices, oils. We cooked every meal for our large family, using the grill to BBQ and using the waffle maker and electric griddle for brunch. Overall, this property was a fantastic value and we would would definitely stay here again! The veranda, neighborhood, and pool were so relaxing we felt like we could easily stay there for a week! Thanks again!!!

Family reunion!

This is our second year at cottage #105. It only get better and better. We had a wonderful time. This historic home is full of history and charm. Our family enjoyed hiking, golf and the pool but most of all the home is spacious and inviting. We loved being there together. Thanks Elaine and Chuck

Beauty, Comfort and Hospitality in a Wonderfully Well Kept Vintage Cottage

This was the perfect house for our extended family reunion. Buck Hill Falls is always just spectacular and the cottage lived up to it's billing in all respects. Elaine was wonderful about communication and was very accommodating when we requested a early preview to determine which sibling/child/grandchild would go into which room. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen and living spaces were plentiful and filled with pleasant surprises - games, pianos, antique pinball. Convenient to the pool, falls, tennis and golf club, the house was a great base for all our weekend family activities. The high spot was the large porch overlooking beautiful green woods, visited by hummingbirds and accented by wind chimes. We hope we can stay there again when the next reunion rolls around.

Beautiful and memorable weekend!!!

This property has all that you need for a comfortable and unforgettable Pocono getaway. Elaine's communication definitely deserves more rating than the available five stars. She was on top of things and gave us enough pointers before (via emails) and during the trip (via texts). The house is beautiful and had enough space for our three families (6 adults and 7 kids). It is beautifully tucked away in a quiet community where you hear nothing but the birds chirping and other sounds of nature. The house was well stocked (in fact, over stocked) with various supplies for kitchen, towels, linens, toiletries, board games etc. that will leave you impressed. Our group especially enjoyed the outdoor deck in the mornings and nights, with the grill being the centerpiece. We enjoyed hiking the trails to the falls, Red Rocks and the bridge. Our kids enjoyed the swimming pool and the fire-pit area over s'mores & campfire. Overall, this was one of our best annual family getaways, and the cottage (owner and community) played a very important role in it. Thank you for making our stay memorable!

Plenty of space, but a little bit cluttered

I booked this home for my yearly ski trip with my friends and family. Positives: great location, very close to skiing and good food. There’s many beds and it is huge and can accommodate up to perhaps 18 people comfortably. Everything you may need is available. The Keurig machine was awesome for morning coffee! Negatives: given that there is a cleaning fee, the place was definitely not clean: there was lots of clutter and dust everywhere. I understand it is a big house but I think it can be cleaned more thoroughly for the cleaning fee. Hot water runs out very quickly so all need to be mindful of time spent in the shower. The upstairs rooms get so hot when the heat is turned on that it is better to just have the heat off - the heater wounds like a waterfall or someone is taking a shower. Overall it is not a bad place for the price. Parking can be a bit tricky if there is too many cars. Also be mindful if you are there in the winter- getting out of the car you may be walking on ice. There were a few almost falls during our time there. Thanks for opening your home to us! Appreciate it!

Absolutely immaculate and so much space for the entire family. The photos do not do the property justice! Not only ample sleeping space but also plenty of space for everyone to enjoy their time. The kitchen is very well stocked (crockpots, fondue pot, waffle iron, toaster, microwave and 2 coffee machines). If you're into board games - they literally have it all! And the location is unbeatable! Close to everything! To say we enjoyed our stay is an understatement and we can't wait to go back!The owners were also such wonderful people and always available to answer all our questions. Temps dropped drastically during our stay and they took the time to reach out to check in on us to ensure we had enough heat.

We stayed over Christmas holiday and it was truly an amazing experience. Had snow on Christmas Eve and also had a up close with with a deer. The house had everything you could possible need to prepare meals, keep children occupied and have a very comfortable sleep. We were 4 adults 5 kids so much room for everyone. There was so much charm and history in the house. Would highly recommend Chuck and Elaine’s home. They are so thoughtful and accommodating. Very quick to respond to any questions. Would definitely love to experience the house in the summer. Thanks again Chuck and Elaine for making our 2018 Christmas one to always remember.

My family and I are in love with this home! Functional, Nostalgic, Great location, Accommodating

The owners obviously put a lot of thought and consideration into their property. I have never been to a more equipped accommodating turn key rental. The home itself is overly large great for entertainment of large families and very comfortable. It has everything!! you need linens towels, kitchen towels, spices, hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, Clorox wipes, dish detergent, etc.. They have endless options for entertainment toys board games movies pianos books ect The home itself is beautiful but the decor of antiques adds such a beautiful touch. The kitchen is extremely functional, easy to cook with plenty of counter space and modern appliances. The rooms were comfortable even the black bed on the upper level floor... I slept there and I was extremely comfortable. The porch was so peaceful to sit and sip your morning coffee. Our family had an amazing holiday getaway, we played hide and seek throughout the home. The owners even decorated for Christmas I could have shed tears of joy when I walked in to see a decorated Christmas tree. Great location 15-20 minuets to Camelback, great food within 5 minuets, security readily available to answer questions. More than anything I was so appreciative and was so touched by the thoughtfulness of the owners for the guests. Thank you so much for making our family getaway easy! It was a great time!!

Perfect for a wonderful celebration

A family member was graduating from ESU. Eleven of us gathered from Virginia,Maryland,New York, New Jersey, and Mountainhome. This home was the perfect place. We sat around the fireplace listening to Christmas carols. One family member played the piano. The dining room table was large enough for us to have meals together. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need to entertain. The beds were comfortable and plentiful. Thank you, Chuck and Elaine for sharing this beautiful home. We learned it was 120 years old and full of family memories. Thrilled we could make some of our own.

Everyone enjoyed it! Lot's of amenities. Loads of cooking utensils, plates, sheets, towels, games, books, juke box, even an air pump for bicycles and balls! Loved the deck and humming birds!!! Great location, swimming pool was beautiful and Falls were extraordinary. My son really liked visiting the stables and watching the horses. Reasonably priced. A charming cottage that was warm and welcoming.

My husband and I rented this cottage so that we would have accommodations for a family wedding that we attended in the area. The cottage was accurately described. It was clean on arrival, the sheets and towels were plentiful and smelled fresh and clean. The kitchen had every item you would ever need to cook and entertain, plus numerous spices, tea, coffee, paper towels, etc. Well stocked. We didn't have the best weather, but we still enjoyed the lovely veranda. Very restful and peaceful. We also explored some hiking trails, all within walking distance. All in all, a wonderful experience. Nancy
