Sleeping Arrangements: The bedrooms are named after Colorado wildflowers from the days when it began as a Bed & Breakfast, by the owner's Mother. MarDei's, comes from her name, Deidre and her childhood friend Martha, whom began the B&B in 1985. It was run as such on our arrival in 1994. After ownership shifted in 1999, we changed it to a Retreat in 2000.

The following 3 bedrooms have private bathrooms: the upstairs large Master suite (Columbine, sleeps 5) has a King pillow top bed, Twin bed, and Dbl/Full innerspring futon couch and a full bath. There is a wood-burning fireplace, a new 42' HDTV w DVD and another 36' TV in front of the Futon and fireplace. Downstairs there is a two room suite (Larkspur, sleeps 5) that has a Queen bed and Twin bed in the bedroom, and a Dbl/Full innerspring futon couch with a new HTDV. A door separates these 2 rooms. There are four other bedrooms upstairs, on the south side of the house: two bedrooms (Blue Vetch & Chiming Bells, sleeps 3 each) Chiming Bells has a queen bed, and Blue Vetch has a double bed. Each has single futon chairs and a sink. Another bedroom (Indian Paintbrush, sleeps 2) and has two twin beds. The final bedroom (Yarrow, sleeps 2) has an elevated Dbl/Full log bed. These 2 rooms share a private sink area. These four rooms share a 3/4 bath and an addn water closet (toilet).

Had a GREAT time!

It's a bit dated but that suits me just fine. Very interesting layout with lots of room. Easy to get away from others in your own private space in the house. Great access to town.

Perfect location and can sleep tons of people!

  • 4 of 5

We rented this place last minute for a post-Christmas ski trip. We like to stay away from the ski towns so frisco is charming with a lot of restaurants and less of the ski crowd. The house is not new. If you are expecting modern and bright, this isn’t the place for you. We needed to sleep several families, wanted to be able to walk to town, wanted a hot tub, and wanted it to be clean. It was all of those things. Not shiny and new but has a great amount of space and, even though it’s old, our sheets smelled fresh, the carpets had just been professionally cleaned, and the bathrooms were clean. Mike was awesome to work with and easy to reach.

Comfortable vacation home

  • 4 of 5

This property is located perfectly to take advantage of the inviting town of Frisco and the beauty and activities the surrounding mountains offer. We were a three generation family group of 16 ranging in ages 4-63. It housed us comfortably. Kitchen is not huge, but is very well stocked for large groups and open so seems larger than it is and has plenty of counter space. Owners are very easy to work with and available if needed. Yard is a great size for relaxing outdoors and has plenty of seating.

Our stay at the cabin was very pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed Frisco, and the location was very convenient to Main Street and the Marina Bay.

Location, location, location

  • 4 of 5

We had a group of 13 people stay at the MarDeis. Even though it technically can sleep more than that, I don't recommend having more people there. I suggest 10-14 max. It's a very funky property, with doors and rooms everywhere, but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. Although the kitchen is quite small it is FULLY equipped, including spices and sugar and other staples. The previous tenants had left behind their unused food which was really great - we did the same. The living room was a great place for all of us to congregate. And the location was PERFECT! Easy walking distance to the main street of Frisco, and the Summit Shuttle stops. A great place for a group that wants to be together.

Great location, lots of space

  • 5 of 5

This is a great winter vacation spot, only 10 minute drive to Breckenridge slopes. I stayed here with a group of 7 and the place is large enough for everyone to have a bed (we did have 2 sets of couples). All the amenities made for a nice stay, with the bonus of a great outdoor hot tub after a day of skiing. The hosts are a bit particular about the rules of the house (no shoes, turn down heat, etc.) but that was not a problem!
