Casa Montezuma: Spectacular Almond-Wood House with Canopy View Deck

This gorgeous 3-story almond-wood house is surrounded by tropical beauty, in the midst of a what seems like a nature park. Monkeys, coati-mundis, anteaters and many other species daily visit the 2-acre property, while toucans and parrots glide by overhead. All this, yet only 300M/ yards from one of the loveliest sand beaches in Montezuma! The outstanding architectural design offers two stories of living space and an observation deck on the third level. The observation deck is the place to enjoy your morning coffee as you watch the tropical animals and birds in the surrounding jungle canopy. The house sleeps 4-6 adults quite comfortably, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. There is an outside shower for rinsing off after the beach as well as an inside shower with hot water. Each floor has an open area to sit and enjoy the tropical trees and flowers. You'll feel the stress melt away as you listen to the peaceful sound of the stream that runs by the house.

It is exotic and out of the ordinary, and yet it feels like coming home- coming home to the elemental world where we live closely in tune with nature. If you are visiting Costa Rica in order to get close to nature, this is your house!

What makes this property unique

This house comes with some very valuable extras! For example, it comes with two bikes, local cell phone, beach towels and umbrellas, hammocks, and gas BBQ. One of the bikes has a basket, so you can use it to bring home groceries, hot bread from the bakery, or fresh fish from Cabuya. No need for an expensive rental car! Also included is weekly cleaning service at no extra charge!

For those interested in wildlife we provide several bird field guides, binoculars, wildlife identification brochures, local maps, tide charts, and more. From the 3rd floor observation deck you can get really close to the monkeys for some top-notch photo opportunities.

At night you will not hear cars, airplanes or other people's music. You will drift off to sleep with the sounds of the stream, the waves of the ocean, and the haunting cries of nightjars or tiger herons. In the morning you will awake to the unforgettable sounds of the howler monkeys starting their day.

Finally, we provide free weekly cleaning service, with daily service available (at extra cost) with advance notice. There never any hidden fees or taxes.
