Weekend couples get away
The interior of the house met all our needs. We swept the deck of leaves and the garage of fall debris . No problem. Of course the season was at its peek of pollen but again no problem.
We saw new ceiling tile in game room that needed to be installed and that will definitely enhance the space and it was musty but just needed an airing out. We loved our stay and will gladly go again.
Secluded and Peaceful
This property was a great venue for getting away and feeling isolated in the words, but with all the modern amenities and luxuries you would want either in the house or at the club a short distance away.
Nestled in the Woods
Very comfortable home with lots of windows and light! Beautiful setting with cozy sunken area with game table right in front of the fireplace. Well stocked kitchen, lots of board games, books, puzzles and information on the area. Nice community and quaint little 'Hallmark' town of Harbor Springs.
Comfortable home in a nice location
Our families had a great time sledding down the driveway NYE! Nice and quite area. The home is somewhat dated, but very comfortable for a couple of families! The railing on the second story and the staircase is not safe for little ones, so we just kept them on the main level. Over all a great place and we will stay again next year!!
I'm giving this house 5 stars because it was very good value. It had plenty of room for our group of 8 adults and it was very nice to have 3 bathrooms. This home is located in a beautiful neighborhood with use of the pool, golf course, and all the amenities. It is very close to Harbor Springs. Also, the home was clean and the beds were comfortable. There is no air conditioning in the home, and we had a very hot weekend, however, the fans and shaded location helped keep the home comfortable.
Having said that, I will say the home could use some maintenance and updating. You must use a circular stairway to get to the upstairs bedroom and that could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues. Also, the upstairs railing and stairway would be a concern if you have small children in your group. We were a little short on basics like paper towels and toilet paper.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Round House and would definitely come again.
Nesteled in the woods with many windows, this home was ideal for us and our six teenage grandchildren. It's about a 15-minute drive from Numbs and the Highlands. Grandpa and I also enjoyed the wonderful groomed cross-coutry skiing. We loved the fireplace and it was nice to have a pool table in the basement.
At the heart of Birchwood Farms are 27 breathtaking holes of true Northern Michigan style golf. Golfers here find themselves surrounded by untouched forest and gorgeous views of Lake Michigan while playing on fairways and greens that can only be described as 'meticulous.'
