Recessed and adjustable LED lighting is wired throughout the space with pendant lighting in the bar area. You set the mood. There is a fully equipped kitchen with bar top for two. Whether you cook your own meals or bring back leftovers from quality restaurants like the Pier and The New York a block away; you'll easily forget about time, in this cozy and tranquil space! ;)

I remember counting the mile markers from the backseat as we headed north on Interstate 75 with my Uncles Harry and Bert and cousin Pat. Traveling from the flatlands and cornfields of Ohio, over the state line and into the fir and birch trees that soon began dotting the Northern Michigan landscape. We drove over the Mackinac bridge and on into Canada to fish for trout and northern pike in what became the most remote place I'd ever been. That first time north, I recall the temperature contrast, even in August as the humidity in the south gave way to the dryer, more comfortable air to the north. I couldn't believe the climate difference a few hundred miles north by car could make and I knew then I'd be back someday. I came back in my early 20's and took a job on Mackinac Island. Working as a dock porter, my main responsibility was to "meet and greet" hotel guests at the ferry dock. As dock porters, we were the first point of contact with the guest and we'd often take their luggage by bicycle to the several hotels and bed and breakfasts on the island. In reflection, Dockporting was the most autonomous, joyful, and healthful job I ever had. I was paid to ride a Schwinn bicycle! On my days off, my Schwinn and I would take the ferry to the Mackinac City. From there, I'd pedal south on M119. Passing through Good Hart, I'd take a break and sit on the old wooden bench outside the general store, head back, leaning into the summer sun. Soon, I'd venture a few miles further south passing historic Legg's Inn before hitting that gradual grade downward through the "canopy of trees" into Harbor Springs. Harbor Springs was my destination then, and I'm so thrilled now to literally have a little corner of this charming village that I can call my own and I'm so happy now be able to share it with you :)

You're at the corner of State and Main streets and everything that this great community has to offer is a minute from your doorstep. Leave your car keys on the kitchen countertop as restaurants like the Pier, The New York, and Guerney's sandwich shop are a block away. Boutique clothing shops and coffee houses are at the bottom of your steps. The marina, the beach, and the bluff are also, 1-2 blocks away. 103 has been contemporarily appointed with comfort and couples in mind. Two plush lounge chairs in the living area give you freedom to relax and forget about time. The space comes with a California King Size bed and will ensure a good nights sleep. LED and pendant lighting (dimmer controlled) will set the mood while window treatments can either let the sunshine in, or block it out. There is a 42'' flat-screen HDTV with cable and Wifi in the air if you opt to stay connected, but only if you wish :)

Hi Lee. Thank you for the feedback. I’m glad you found my place to be comfortable. I understand your disappointment. If you were expecting private parking and laundry facilities at the location. I state in my description of the property that there is neither private dedicated parking nor laundry facilities. Most of my guests stay between 2-3 days and laundry is not typically a concern. They also find that the free parking available at the 2 municiple lots a block from the unit work for them just fine if parking on the street is too problematic. I’d love to be able to offer laundry capability, and I am considering sacrificing kitchen cupboard space for a stacked unit in the future. First time I've used VRBO and the experience was amazing at this property. Very clean, great views, and apartment is perfectly setup for two! Definitely would like to book again for my next excursion to God's country that surrounds the heart of Harbor Springs.

Fabulous Location and Owner
The location was fabulous. Walking distance to all restaurants and the beach. We attended farmers market on Wednesday out side of unit and Thursday night music in the streets. Bed was extremely comfortable. Quiet...Relaxed and slept great. Cooked lunch in unit. They had all the utensils we needed. Excellent value... The owner Dave is a class act! All directions on the unit were perfect. Can not say enough great things. Hoping to return soon.

Perfect place to stay. Hidden gem. Clean and perfectly equipped.
This was our second stay at this property. Loved it! Perfect location to enjoy Harbor Springs and the area. Just steps from great coffe and pastries in the morning to great dinner choices in the evenings. And for lunch...especially love grabbing a Gurneys sandwich, a Tom’s Mom Cookie and enjoying it sitting by the water. We do lots of biking while there with views to die for! The HS Farmers Market is right outside your door on Wed and Sat. So, grabbing some fresh items for cooking an evening or two was just perfect. The property is clean and equipped with everything you need for a great stay. The owner Dave is awesome to work with. So accommodating and truly wants your stay to be the best. Highly recommend this property.

To access the unit: Upon receipt of your 2nd payment, you will be given a 4 digit combination to a lockbox that is inside my mailbox (#103). This contains a key to access the Main Street glass doorway. My unit is on the second floor, at the top of the steps, on the right hand side of the landing. Upon receipt of your final payment, I will give you a 4 digit code that you will type into the keypad to enter the unit
Trash: There is a small waste basket underneath the kitchen sink. If this becomes full, re-line the basket with another trash bag there under the sink or in the kitchen closet. There is a trash dumpster behind the unit. Follow the alleyway that is to the right of the unit, (when facing the Main Street entrance)
Air conditioner: There is a window unit in the flat. Feel free to use this when you are in the unit. Please be mindful of the energy when away from the unit by either turning the temperature slightly up, or off. Thank you :)
Additional linen and towel/bathroom service: If you are planning on visiting longer than 7 days, we can arrange for the housekeeper to do a linen/sheet change and "quick clean" for an additional $25.00 for each service..
Summer parking: free public street parking is available throughout downtown Harbor Springs from 7a-7p everyday for up to 3 hours at a time. After 3 hours, you will have to move your car to a different spot. After 7p, you can park your car overnight until 10a the next day beginning the 3 hour time limit once again. There is also free overnight parking at the Depot or Guerney Lot's. Located 1.5 blocks from unit.
Winter parking: You can park free of charge anywhere in downtown Harbor Springs with no time limit. However, you cannot park on the street overnight due to snow plow access in the event of snow. You can park overnight, and free of charge at the Guerney and Depot lots. These lots have two area's within them, (area 1 and 2). On odd days of the week, park in Area 1. On even days of the week, park in Area 2. (i.e. Tuesday, Feb 24th-park in Area 2 when you are in for the evening and then remove or alternate the car to Area 1 sometime on the 25th.
