Guestbook comments from the owner

I wanted to let you know how much we are enjoying your Lake House. It is a beautiful house and has everything and more. We've rented places that didn't have 1/2 as much as your house has.

I love the set up of the house and the decor. All of us are enjoying hanging out at the dock fishing, swimming in the cove and going out on your boats.

Great getaway home

  • 4 of 5

The home was perfect for a weekend getaway for our family. The home was clean and had all we needed for a long weekend but we were disappointed in the depth of the water for this lakefront property. There was really no way to enjoy the lake based on how shallow the water was at the dock and perhaps if the water level is at full pool that would be different for guests in the future.

Overall though we really enjoyed the home and our stay.

More or less as advertised. Modest, comfortable, few frills.

  • 3 of 5

Well it wasn't our first choice but it looked like the best thing still available a couple months out from the eclipse. The house was easy to get into, the gated community had their gate permanently open, and it was on a narrow finger of the lake close to the interstate. Unfortunately, the lake was so low that you couldn't get a boat into the dock.

Ammentities were very sparse in this house. At least the rentor did inform us that we'd have to bring pretty much everything with us. I will say that the kitchen had some decent pots and utensils but you have to bring everything else from salt and pepper to ALL paper goods and trash bags. And I think we hade 6 dinner plates which was odd for a house that slept 8.

All in all, it's a fine house and the owners/ rentors were easy to deal with. I'd say it is priced properly, just don't expect a lot of luxury.

Great value for the price!

If you're looking for a 'get away from everyone and everything' property then this is the place to escape to. It's situated in a quiet gated community at the end of an inlet on Lake Hartwell. The property is perched high above the lake surrounded by trees, so nice and private. There is a steep path leading to and from the lake but my inlaws, who are in their 70s, managed to climb it each time with no trouble. We had 8 adults and our border collie staying and there were ample space for us all without feeling on top of each other. The house was clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils. Plenty of tables and chairs for us all to sit outside to eat. Nearest grocery store is about a 20 minute drive away (Ingles in West Anderson, offering great customer service!). If you don't fancy cooking, we highly recommend J Peters in Anderson (30 minuete drive) awesome food and service. All in all a fab week in a great place and location, even our dog loved it, spending most of his time swimming with us in the lake.

Girls Weekend Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We booked this beautiful Lake House for a Ladies Weekend Retreat for the 10 of us. We chose this house because of the spaciousness and location to the lake. The house sits in a private cove....think cul-de-sac on the lake. For ladies in their 30's and 40's this was a must have! We spent most of our days on the dock and surrounding water. We all brought floats and floated around the cove. Some of us also used the peddle boat and canoe to venture out side the cove and check things out.

We all cooked our meals together in the large kitchen which had all the supplies we needed to prepare the food. There was a large deck over looking the water where we ate together.

After dinner the downstairs was the perfect space to hang out together. There was a lower covered deck that lead into the game room which had an extra fridge. It was very large and offered plenty of room to hang out and play a little air hockey.

Wendy, the owner was fantastic as well. I would definitely recommend this place for a Girls Retreat or a family vacation. I plan on returning again with the entire family in tow.

Great Family Fun

  • 5 of 5

What a gem! Very quiet, very secluded. House was immaculate and very well furnished. We rented a pontoon boat for the week, plus had access to the owner's canoe and paddle boat. The water is absolutely gorgeous, and, for the most part, very lightly traveled. Our grandchildren loved the fishing and learned to waterski. Part of our group went hiking most mornings, but I found the quiet and beauty of the surroundings quite relaxing, and very seldom left. We wish it was a little closer to our home in Louisiana, but our whole family enjoyed our trip and we hope to go back again soon. The owner was a pleasure to work with and made sure our trip was enjoyable.

Fabulous House

  • 4 of 5

This house is just beautiful! Our family enjoyed it so much, we all can't wait to go again.

There is so much room, you can bring all your children & grandchildren.

The towels are very nice, everything we needed was there, except food.
