Awesome place to stay especially with pets as it has a fenced in yard with several apple trees and the apples were delicious. It is a studio so no real inside sitting, but the outside sitting was awesome.Great old neighborhood walking distance from shopping.

Thanks for staying with us Christopher, come back anytime!
Great little place in a quiet neighborhood. So many parks within walking distance. The backyard was perfect for our pup. There was also the most perfect, friendly little cat that i enjoyed hanging out with. Definitely would stay again.

Thank you Mary, it was a pleasure to host you, come back and visit anytime!
Starting off with the positive- this is an excellent location to downtown area. Our stay was not good. The original picture of this listing was the front house and only after paying did we receive instructions that the entrance is in the back. This is advertised as a private studio when in reality, it is the third bedroom, separated at the kitchen with a very filmsy looking door. You can hear everything. The place was not clean. Grime on the walls, dirty toilet, broken blinds. If you are allergic to cats, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND skipping this one. My reaction was terrible and suspect it was from the dander in the room.Insult to injury, the cleaning fee was more expensive than the actual stay. When I reached out privately to find a fair resolution, the owner tried to extort us by not leaving a review in order to receive it. Due to this entire experience, trust for resolution was low so I reached out to customer support. The rep deemed this situation a case to review.Truly wish our experience was better, but save yourself some money and get a hotel rather than a dirty room for 180 bucks.

I’m sorry you did not reach out to me at all during your stay, and especially upon checking in if the room was not to your liking. We have excellent ratings on our cleaning. If you had let me know I would have come re-cleaned whatever wasn’t to your standards within ten minutes. Instead you stayed, checked out and then out of the blue demanded a $100 refund citing issues you didn’t raise during the stay and threatening a negative review if I didn’t give it to you. This is a 100 year old Bungalow. The front porch picture was a space available to guests. The pictures clearly show that it is a self-contained unit at the back of the house which gives you privacy and no shared interior space. The interior door is lockable by the guest. We are a pet friendly place to stay, guests bring dogs and sometimes cats. I’m clear in the description that if you have strong allergies then it’s not a good fit.
Absolutely loved my stay here!!! Bathroom is fabulous, and the room set up is cozy— I was extremely comfortable and it was nice to know people were around! Neighborhood was lovely and quiet— it was an excellent home base while I was in Colorado, and I will definitely be booking again in the future!

Thanks so much Madison! It was a pleasure to have you stay with us and hope you return soon. Safe travels!
This property was not as advertised. The house on the first photo is the family home (front of the house Norma available to renters-which is misleading) and the rental unit is actually a room at the back of the house with no way to even lock it from the renters side. It is not a studio apartment, rather a room ( with a mini fridge and coffee maker) and bathroom in a house (a mini fridge and coffee maker). There is also a cat living in the home (for anyone with cat allergies). We did not stay there for more than 5 minutes due to not feeling safe or comfortable but the host would not work with us on any sort of refund.

The front porch and swing is available to our guests to use, along with the backyard. The unit is clearly described as being part of our home but completely separate, with it's own entrance. The common wall, (the same as any condo or townhome would have) has a connecting door which is always kept locked and is clearly shown in pictures. You demanded a refund but did not cancel your stay and stopped communicating. We do not allow our friendly cat into the studio but we are a pet friendly place, as you were bringing your dog you booked it with that expectation.
We had some personal issues unrelated to the hostess or the accommodation which interfered with our stay. The hostess was extraordinarily understanding and we thank her

I was very accommodating, and your adult daughter left my studio a complete mess, put a hole in the door and broke the microwave plate. I can't believe you left a three star review which affects my overall ratings as a thank you.
Beware of the word "Cozy" in the description. In this case, that is code for MICRO. My son and his wife stayed here with their 2 little dogs. There was no sofa and only one person could sit at a time unless they sat on the bed. They ended up checking into a different location halfway through the stay. Between the incredibly small studio and the noise from the owner's dog, they were miserable. Good location. Would be good for a single person with no animals, but for 2 people or 1 person with a dog, it is just ridiculously small.

The pictures clearly show there is no couch, nor room for one, I try to set accurate expectations as it is a small cozy studio.
The neighborhood was awesome, but the property itself was not kept up very well – There was garbage, broken glass, dog feces in the backyard. I picked up my dogs plus others. The room itself could use a new paint job. Also, the room wasn’t ready for us when we arrived at four, which was not a big deal for us since we were going straight to dinner, but could be a big deal for others. The owner was very quick to respond, and the room was ready to go by the time we got back – she also replenished supplies as requested on another day

Cleaner didn't show up and didn't let me know, I rushed over and cleaned it so it was ready in an hour from your notifying me. I certainly didn't see any broken glass, garbage or dog feces left from the last guest but again, you could have told me and I would have immediately addressed it.
Overall, we had a great experience here! The room and the yard is cute and private. You have the whole backyard to yourself. We enjoyed the friendly orange cat that seemed to like the attention we gave him. From the deck, we thought that the squirrels in the backyard were entertaining eating the small apples from the tree. The room is on the smaller side, but with proper organizing, we made it work just fine! :) We could hear walking around on the other side of the wall, but that didn’t bother us one bit. The place has a nice bathroom with plenty of space. The room has a working fridge/freezer and microwave. The location of the place is excellent. Super close to the downtown area, which has a lot of things to do. The host was nice and communicated with us well. If we ever come back to the area, we will be looking at booking this place again!!!
This place would be perfect for someone who isn’t going to spend any time in the room other than sleeping. Very small room and you can hear into the main house on the other side of the wall next to the bed very easily. The train is also nearby and easily heard. The owner seemed very nice through communication but I would only recommend this room to someone who only needs a place to sleep
Overall the stay was OK as I was out everyday. The room was clean however in the fridge there was old food someone left in takeaway container. It made me think that perhaps the room was not cleaned and I checked the sheets to make sure they were clean. They were clean. The mattress however is HORRIBLE! My back is aching after 3 nights in this bed. The pillows are flat flat flat! Please get new pillows that are sturdier and a new mattress! I read the reviews from September 2023 and there were guest complaints and again in January and February 2025! Why hadn’t this owner gotten a new mattress??? It is absolutely awful. It is sunken in to the box springs in the edge and the only place to sleep is right up against the wall where it seems no one has slept as it is relatively firm there. I mean use your fees to pay for a new mattress and pillows please as we as guests should not have sore backs from a worn out mattress and pillows! Made me not want to stay there again. All the coziness of the place was ruined by the uncomfortable bed.

Hello, I wish you had let us know you were uncomfortable we could have supplied fat pillows for you.
We will place replace two of the medium pillows with big ones.
The mattress was brand new in January 2025.
In 2023/24 it was a full size bed and we replaced it with a new queen after the one complaint in December. We haven't had any complaints about it since we put the new queen in. We've had many guests mention how comfortable their stay was. If you had let us know we could have rotated the mattress or added a topper, we try to make sure guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay.

Not a Studio Thin Walls
This is someone's back bedroom in their house, not a studio although it has it's own bathroom. You can hear everything in the house, there is no privacy because of thin walls, and doors. You will hear the owners talking and walking around. We could even hear when a coin was dropped. Because of this you will find yourself wispering the full stay. The property is beautiful but not the place you want to go for a romantic get away. Location is nice, it's close to places like coffee shops. The bed was uncomfortable you could feel the springs and it sunk in and the pillows were super thin like paper. Me an my husband were unable to sleep due to discomfort plus there were loud bumps and drops in the other rooms super late at night, like 3 in the morning that startled us awake a few times. We had sore backs and neck from the bed. There is a train so close you can hear the wheels rolling on the tracks adding to being unable to sleep at all. The fridge is super cute but makes a noise all day and night. They are kind to have out coffee and tea and the microwave matches the fridge which is cute. There needs to be an additional trash can for bigger items, not just bathroom trash items. Also a curtian for the door widow would be nice too. We used a towel. Loved the fruit tree and the local squirrels. The check in process was super confusing. You have to drive down a small alley like street to park by a trailer to get to the room at the back of the house. We would not used this location.
