The cabin has a musty or strange smell around the bathroom and kitchen. Overall the property is as advertised. It’s comfortable as a cabin but no frills.
Cute cabin, lovely back yard with the sound of the stream. Just right for our short stay. Well equipped kitchen and fans for every room were much appreciated. No issues, we would come back again.
Initially the check in was a negative the door code didn't work and we couldn't get ahold of the host. She finally got back to us and remotely reset the code. After that it was a lovely stay. Very cool property....fyi the trail down to the creek is very rough be careful with kiddos.
My stay overnight was for my Granddaughters wedding that was performed in the area. The interior was clean and comfortable and I would stay here again.

Washer/dryer was a big plus. Location decent, could use a few more lights in bedrooms
We were happy to stay in a location extremely close to Mount Rainier and amenities in Ashford/ Elbe. Quiet neighborhood with deer, comfortable beds, and good communication were the positive points for us. We stayed during unseasonably warm temps but the window A/C and fans did provide comfort.

Great location, rustic accommodations
Fantastic location if you want access to Mt. Ranier. Nice firepit and backyard with creek. For the accommodations, they are rustic, older appliances & home but all the basic needs provided. Comfortable beds as well. The house has a foul smell in the bedrooms and cleaning details such as cobwebs and dead bugs were overlooked. Price is high for the accomadations.

Hi Eunji, thanks for your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed the location and the outdoor amenities. Regarding the cobwebs, we do our best to keep the house spotless, but being in the countryside—especially in the fall—cobwebs can form quickly even after a thorough cleaning. It’s part of the natural surroundings, but we’ll definitely keep a closer eye on it to ensure the home is as comfortable as possible. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay!

The site was fine except that it smalls like dogs, smoke and mold. Comfortable beds. Outdoor area was very nice. My biggest complaint however is the owner didn’t send the address despite my email request for address 24 hours in advance. We lost an hour of our vacation calling VRBO to get the address. I received the seven item list of details about the property. But without the address it’s a moot point. She still has not relied to my request 48 hours later.

Hard to find, get address, house does not look great from the outside. Beds were nice lots of room. Stove old and scary rest of kitchen good. Outside area nice for fires, a little dirty for eating out there

Hi Cheryl,
Thank you so much for your honest feedback! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the comfortable beds, the spacious layout, and the outdoor area for fires—it really is a wonderful spot for gathering and unwinding.
We apologize for any confusion with finding the address. We recommend using a phone or car GPS for the best results, as that usually helps guests navigate easily. Regarding the stove, it’s a vintage piece that we chose to keep because it adds to the cabin's rustic charm. We understand that the vintage style isn’t for everyone, but rest assured, it’s fully functional.
For the outdoor dining area, we appreciate your comments and will be giving it extra attention to enhance the experience for future guests. While we do our best to keep it clean, leaves and grass can naturally fall in the area due to the surrounding environment.
Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope to welcome you back in the future!
Best regards,
Chelsea
Pros:- Great location- Super peaceful neighborhood - Beautiful nature - Had all necessitiesMeh:- Not the cleanest- Silverware, plates, and cups had food bits or residue and had to be washed before using- Cobwebs on lights - Tub doesn’t drain well at all- The house has definitely been smoked in, though it smells older like it was years and years ago. It would have been nice for that to be disclosed as we have a child with Cystic Fibrosis and this can irritate his lungs even if it’s old or stale smoke. - The outdoor area had a decent amount of refuse - old broken lights, plastic stuff, and a deer carcass (yes, carcass) by the outside building that appeared to be burned. This poses a threat to the wildlife and nature which had been a major plus for us when deciding on this location. All in all a place with amazing potential with some really light lift attention to cleanliness.
A great little cabin in the woods right on the creek. The back yard and tiny cabin feels like something out of a Tolkien novel. The only thing to be aware of is there are a few cent diffusers throughout the house. Those who are sensitive to certain smells should just be qware that they are there.

Hi Steven, so glad you liked the backyard. We removed the diffusers already, welcome back anytime.
The equivalent of a coors light at a football game: overpriced and doesn't meets expectations, but you gotta do it to fully enjoy the experience.
Slim pickings in Ashford outside of Rainier and folks know it based on prices. We spent one night here, fine for the night but were happy to leave. Very quirky inside: minimal seating in the family room, outdoor lights turn on automatically at night right in the bedroom window, doors lock after 20 seconds (super annoying), the oldest cooktop I've ever used in my life, noisy heating system.
Comfortable beds though and a warm shower. It served its purpose for the 12 hours we were there, but unlikely we would stay again.

Hi Andrew, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear you found the beds comfortable and enjoyed a warm shower, and that our cabin served its purpose during your stay.
We strive to offer a cozy retreat near Mt. Rainier with competitive pricing. Our two-bedroom cabin is priced below the average for the area, especially in winter when rates are generally lower due to Seattle’s rainy weather. Since summer and fall are our busiest seasons, rates tend to be higher during those times.
In the living room, we provide a three-person sofa and an accent chair, offering seating for up to four people. We hope this setup provided a comfortable spot to relax. We’ve also adjusted the outdoor light timer based on your feedback, and we’re sorry if it caused any inconvenience. The automatic door lock is in place for added safety, though we understand it may take some getting used to.
Thank you again for your valuable feedback—it helps us continue to improve the guest experience. We hope you enjoyed your time exploring Rainier!
Best regards,
Chelsea
Peaceful neighborhood, very close to Mt. Tahoma Nat'l Park
This lovely cabin and quiet neighborhood are the perfect spot for a long weekend of exploring trails & it's only a 10 minute drive from the SW entrance to the National Park. The cabin comes with everything you'll need including a creek out back that provides a soothing atmosphere. Comfy beds, nice sized rooms, clothes washer & dryer, wood burning fireplace in the living room, a fire pit out back & a covered patio with a table & chairs. Full kitchen (everything works), plates, glasses, silverware... and a coffee maker. Bring your own firewood & charcoal for the grill.. you'll love it here!! There are other cabins around, but you can't hear anything from them. Check-in is easy and the owners are quick to respond if needed. Thanks again & this will definitely be the first place I check for availability when we come back. Cheers!

Hi Stephen, thanks for the great review! We thoroughly enjoyed hosting you. Welcome back anytime.
This was a last-minute booking when Mt. Rainier’s unpredictable weather decided not cooperate for a planned night of camping in the park and despite copious rain there was a burn ban prohibiting camp fires. For what it is, the pricetag was a little spendy but you’re paying for proximity to the park and in our case, the late booking. It’s a bit of a funky older cabin but very cute and it has been updated with modern touches throughout. All in all, we enjoyed our stay but didn’t feel comfortable with our younger children sleeping in the separate tiny house where the trundle bed is located because it didn’t have heat and the doors automatically lock behind you, requiring a code to re-enter, which would’ve been a problem for kids waking up to use the bathroom. Fortunately, we had 2 air mattresses so they slept in the main house with us, but fair warning to those traveling with younger kids. We were also woken up at at 3am by the decorative hanging lights outside our window when they seemingly just turned on randomly; turns out when I went to inspect how to turn them off they were on a timer set to turn on at 3am - a bad joke from the previous renters?!

Hi Kevin , thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! We're glad you enjoyed the cabin's charm and proximity to Mt. Rainier, especially with the last-minute change in your plans. We understand your concerns about the trundle bed in the tiny house and its suitability for younger children. We’ll take a closer look at how we can make it more family-friendly, we have already put a Dyson heater in the tiny house . Apologies for the decorative lights coming on at 3am—that definitely shouldn’t have happened! We have already reset the timer settings. ( one of the previous guests maybe did not know how to set the timer ) We appreciate your understanding and hope to welcome you come back.
