Set on three acres of landscaped botanical gardens that offer sweeping ocean views to one side and primary rain forest on the other, this secluded and luxuriant hideaway is totally attuned with its environment. The 500 million year old tropical rainforest dictated the design, use of materials, services and general ambiance. The result is ultra-deluxe comfort laced with total guest privacy in a low-key casual atmosphere.
The informal and accommodating owners live on the second and third floor of the pagoda style home that sits 75 meters to the South and are friendly and full of information.

Uvita is in the heart of Costa Rica's Southern zone. It is the gateway to Ballena National Park. The Jardines del Morete development is comprised of several private residences and has one of the few paved roads in the area. The local beaches of Chaman and Hermosa are less than five minutes by car. Uvita has several restaurants, two large supermarkets, two banks, an urgent care center with adjacent pharmacy, auto mechanic, a gas station, three rental car companies and a host of other commercial services.

About the owner: Victoria and Jason moved to Costa Rica in Victoria's mother's footsteps. They built their home in 2006 and live there with their two children.
Why the Owner Chose Bahía Ballena, Costa Rica:
The property is one of the few ocean view lots that has a paved road and is close to town (less than 5 minutes). It is also the first lot in the development that is flanked by primary rain forest. This property is 5 minutes by car to the nearest beach called Hermosa.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
The property is very close to town but definitely removed from the commercial center. Most ocean view homes for rent in Uvita require 4 wheel drive and involve rather long drives up steep slopes (at least 15 minutes up a hill for the majority of Uvita ocean view homes). This is one of the primary reasons Jason and Victoria bought here. Add in the primary forest laced with an ocean view and a paved road and there was really no other option that even remotely compared. There are also strong winds here that are unique and cool down the property by at least five degrees relative to the rest of Uvita.
