Please note: Starting sometime in October (depending on rain and snow) the deck furniture is placed in storage due to snow fall. If you are not a cook there are many fine dining options including the beautiful Black Butte Lodge with stunning views or the upstairs Aspen Lounge with happy hour specials; a new Espresso shop, poolside bar and restaurant, gift shop at the newly remodeled Lakeside Pool, Robert's Pub overlooking the Big Meadow Golf course as well as pizza to go.
Ridge Cabin 25 is within a small walk to Aspen Lake; about 300 yards to South Meadow pool and tennis courts and a short bike ride to Glaze Meadow Recreation Center. Less than a 5 minute drive to either golf course.
This is my second Ridge Cabin I have owned and would take many walks through the ranch. When I reached the meadow I would notice Ridge Cabin 25 and how private and peaceful it's location was compared to the other Ridge Cabins. When it came up for sale I did not hesitate to purchase this wonderful home. It truly is the best Ridge Cabin in the Ranch and love to share it with my guests. My goal is to have families return again and again, and take joy with those that return to my home. The best compliment is to have repeat guests.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2011
We love the mountains and the outdoor activities the Ranch and the surrounding area have to offer. Easy drive from our home near Portland Oregon.
Extremely clean cabin with full kitchen. Has an unhindered view out the back windows, with ample safe space for children to play, loads of activities in the neighborhood without leaving the resort.
"We felt at immediately at home and welcome from the minute we walked in the door of this charming house. The furniture and accessories are in lovely taste, perfect for the Black Butte setting. It was in pristine condition, and lacked nothing in terms of appliances, accessories, bedding, kitchen and bathroom necessities. To our surprise, there was a "welcome basket" of goodies and a bottle of wine to enjoy during our stay. Janetta, the owner, was a pleasure to work with in setting up our arrangements. We will rent this home again. It is a true "find"!
Great location to amenities Everything we expected and more. We use vacation homes multiple times a year and of all the homes we have stayed in, this one had the little things that most don't. Including cupboards full of spices and cooking sprays, every kind of pot, pan and kitchen appliance needed. A tray of available toiletries in case you forgot something. Definitely thought of the guest. Great experience. The only negative was they didn't have ESPN so watching college bowl games wasn't possible. But other than that, excellent.
We've stayed in this cabin several times and it is perfect for a small family. Well cared for, tons of amenities, great porch and central location. The owner is super responsive to any needs. We will be back again.
This home was a great place for a smaller family. Beds were comfortable and the living room space was very cozy. The owner provided everything we needed from fun family games, to a basket of toys to take to the pool, to adult bikes to ride the bike trails. We particularly appreciated the wonderful children's storybook to read at night. That was a gem for our son. The location of the home provided a very peaceful atmosphere. Waking in the morning and seeing deer roaming just beyond our deck was such a treat. South Meadows pool is located close and provides a much quieter atmosphere compared to all the much more crowded pools. Its also a very short bike ride to the meadows bike path to the lodge where God's breathtaking creation is captured so magificently. The owner has taken much care into making her home such a special place for others. We highly recommend staying at this home. We intend to plan a return visit.
We love this place. It's a wonderful getaway into the woods. Black Butte is located in one of the most gorgeous forests in the state and the bike/walking trails are fantastic, they wind among the cabins and forest in the most appealing way. This cabin is small, but can fit 6 people cozily. The master is in an open loft so if you like to sleep late, the voices below might not be so welcome. All the furniture is comfortable and the deck is outfitted so you can enjoy the outdoors. The owner is just wonderful and will go out of her way to handle any issues or give advice. The location of the cabin is right in the middle of the resort so everything is relatively nearby. The only reason I deduct a star is because there are too many attempts to provide everything you could possibly need. I would appreciate fewer things and more space. A little pruning would give this darling place top ratings.
In 1976 we stayed at a Black Butte Ridge Cabin for our honeymoon. Over the years (especially 5th year increments) we have returned and stayed in other Ridge Cabins for anniversaries. Since this was our 40th we decided to make it a second honeymoon. Of all of the Black Butte accommodations in which we have stayed, this "cabin" was by far the nicest. The recent remodeling and refurbishing gives it a very comfortable, homelike feel unlike the more rustic previous experiences. The secluded view of the surrounding forest from the deck gives one a sense of serene solitude. The owner was very accommodating and had the house well organized including the most detailed guest information book we have ever encountered. We highly recommend it.
This home was perfect for our New Year's getaway! Great location, house was fully stocked and clean. It was so warm and cozy for a snowy, winter getaway! Owner is exceptional and helped make our stay memorable. Will visit again:)
