About this property

A Cozy Cottage Near the Heart of All Louisville Attractions!

The barn is a complete, cozy cottage located on a beautiful, wooded 2 acres.

Enjoy complete privacy including a two person Jacuzzi tub, separate shower, queen size bed, complete kitchen (stocked with breakfast foods), covered porch with swing and gas grill.

A beautiful in ground swimming pool is located on the property. You are invited to swim, weather permitting.

There are no pets allowed. However, you can meet our small flock of laying hens and our rooster. We have fresh eggs daily.

The apple trees, grapes, cherries, pears and service berries are an invitation to the white tail deer to visit and partake daily. Bird watching is also a favorite sport.

Louisville area attractions are within 15 minutes of our property, including Churchill Downs, the KFC Yum! Center, 4th Street Live, Historic Old Louisville and the St. James Art Fair as well as an abundance of other wonderful attractions and events in our fabulous city.

Marquetta is the most amazing host. She provides fresh eggs from her chickens, bacon, English muffins and even a half stick of land-O-Lakes butter for breakfast. There are very nice chocolates bedside. They even have a coffee station! We go for the amazing, relaxing pool. It is amazing. We make this yearly vacation spot. Everything is amazing!!

The hosts were extremely communicative, and delightful. We had a great getaway, and the property was very convenient to everything! The pool was beautifully clean, and a highlight! We went to Thirsty Thursday at Churchill Downs, which is only about 15 minutes away! Would definitely recommend this property.

The host decided before we got there to refund my last night,and tell me about it the night before,asking for cash. However VRBO says she had booked it for my Sunday,so she was gonna take my cash? We left it was awful to go through that.

I am so sorry regarding this guest complaint. We definitely had many communications regarding several changes in her plans. I hoped we could resolve this but it didn’t work out. She stated in her communications that she planned to leave on Sunday. Her reservation was paid through Monday so I wanted to make sure she was not charged for an additional day and would receive a refund for the last nite. She then said she wanted to stay so I told her she would have to pay the amount she was being refunded. I asked her to pay through VRBO because VRBO had already issued the refund per our records. We have been in business 19 years and have never had a complaint. Our reviews remain 5 stars with this exception. Katherine is a sweet person and I take ownership of this unfortunate situation. I should have asked her in person when she arrived rather than take action based on her written communication informing me that she planned to leave on July 12th. We wish her well!

We really enjoyed our stay. We met Jerry when we got there, he was super nice. The cabin was nice and clean. They give you fresh eggs and some breakfast foods too. They go out of their way to accommodate their guests. We will definitely be back!

Awesome stay! They do all the little things so good. They had choclate in bowls which me and my wife just loved. Fresh eggs from the chickens and breakfast foods in the fridge. The hot tub inside is awesome and the place was so clean. When we come back to Louisville there’s no doubt will book again. Would definitely recommend.

We are in a VERY convenient location but as you turn in the drive the metropolitan access is left behind and the rural beauty becomes the focus. There is complete privacy as well as the feel of 'country' living.
The beauty of wildlife, fruit trees, and the sounds of chickens help you to feel very removed from the 'city' life.
