Our family of 5, 3 kids 2 adults, stayed here for a week getaway. The house is nice, comfortable and a great location for the river and lake. We will be back!
This was our first time staying there and it exceeded our expectations. The host was very responsive and the accommodations were more than comfortable. The location was quiet and relaxing and we were pleased throughout. We loved it there and highly recommend as well!

Really enjoyed the property and its central location to lots of fun activities. Very peaceful and very quiet. We enjoyed sitting at fire pit and making smores and playing board games at the big dining table. Look forward to coming back .
Canyon Lake has a big assortment of charming locations to stay. This cute little log cabin frames house was just what we needed. Far enough away from neighbors, this place offered us a quiet spot to unwind after our loving days with our local friends and family. We enjoyed the simple outdoor fire, the back porch and of course of teens LOVED the cave aka, the hand out shed with Xbox and fun chairs. The deer came out early, the neighbors were so nice, the views fantastic and the bedrooms built for simplicity. This was fun for all.

Disappointed
Carpet was filthy and mouse droppings were found on sofa, towels and floor. Side door wouldn’t close tight causing huge gaps for critters to come and go. Back sliding doors glass has a residue on them so the view is obstructed. Owners did try to be accommodating to the issues by having the carpets cleaned and door repaired.

We’re disappointed by this review, especially given the level of care we provided. This guest booked a same-day stay, and we accommodated her with early check-in and immediate attention to every concern. Our cleaning team found no evidence of droppings, and a licensed pest control inspection confirmed no rodent activity.
We acted quickly with carpet cleaning, door repair, and even offered her a refund to leave. We take pride in maintaining a clean, well-cared-for home, as reflected in our many positive reviews.

Ok, but over priced for what you get
The cover picture is old and misleading. There is no grass, only rocks cactus and lots of stickers. The grill wasnt cleaned for a long time so we had to waste charcoal just to burn the gunk off and clean it. There were scorpions all over the house and stickers stuck in the carpet randomly. It would have been nice if the owner had a deal with a tubing company or some sort of parking agreement. We had to pay a lot of money and drive pretty far just to get to the water. Maybe not the best place to stay if you plan on floating the river. Overall the host was nice, this place is just not worth the amount charged. I've paid 1/2 as much for twice as much in the not so distant past.
