Our family group of 6, plus our dog, had a comfortable stay in this cozy cabin! We especially enjoyed the extensive outdoor space and spent every evening sitting on the well lit deck around the outdoor dining table. The beautiful, peaceful setting, close to New Braunfels and multiple outdoor recreation areas provided ample entertainment for our long weekend visit.

We stayed at the Prickly Pear for Texas State Family Weekend. The cabin was clean and very nice. Communication was amazing and we had zero complaints while there. The property is peaceful and there are a lot of outdoor activities for all ages. We were able to walk the property and see some deer as well. We will definitely rent again, it has been one of our favorite VRBO homes, if not the best.

We were very impressed with our stay at this adorable cabin. We had five adults and two children and had plenty of space. The grounds are beautiful and very shaded. There were plenty of yard games provided and the small pool was perfect. We were impressed with the extras that were provided, For example, plenty of bedding, pillows, bath towels, pool towels, and cooking supplies. Communication with the host was perfect and super easy. We would definitely recommend this place for a relaxing vacation!

This was the perfect spot! The old house has been refurbished into such a cute, eclectic, and fun home away from home. It is clean, well stocked, and decorated just right! Everywhere you turn there’s a fun little touch. You become part of the beautiful hill country nature as soon as you turn onto the driveway. We lacked for nothing while there! The five of us ladies stayed the weekend and felt right at home! Don’t forget to play Pac Man and keep an eye out for deer!

Fantastic visit

What a fabulous cabin and owners. Took 3 of our granddaughters (ages 8, 5 and 4) for a mini vacation and they had such a good time. Location is perfect for going to New Braunfels and San Marcos. The girls loved the swimming pool, arcade game, seeing deer, and playing with roly polies. The cabin has really beautiful decor, plenty of lighting, and well stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms. I would highly recommend. 5 star all the way.

Hill country gem

Everything was just amazing! The home is just darling and all the details are well placed and thought out from kickbacks to pillows on the couch. We wanted/needed for nothing… kitchen stocked, bathrooms stocked, comfy beds, games, pool… I could go on and on! The location is peaceful and centrally located to wimberley for swimming in the Blue Hole & Cypress Falls & tubing the Guadalupe in New Braunfels. My advice:Go, stay, relax & enjoy as much as we did Also it passed the test of 2 thirteen year old girls! (that’s hard to do y’all)

Unimaginable cabin where you can be PAMPERED

Meggin has thoughtfully added every accoutrement staged in all the areas you might need something!! It has a spa-like feel in quiet, secluded space that is all about Texas hospitality!! And beyond the visual appeal, the beds are remarkable and will cradle you off to sleep. This cabin is the consummate addition to any stay at the edge of the Texas Hill Country. Myself, my friends all agree we will be back — we even talked about making the cabin the destination and just relax in the luxury of the surroundings. Thank you Meggin for making this available!

Cozy Cabin

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin! The beds were very comfortable with great linens, and the kitchen was well-stocked, the stove worked perfectly and having a dishwasher was a nice bonus. The cabin has two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a tub, which made it convenient for our group of four, but anymore than that might be a challenge waiting for the shower to open up. I enjoyed the bathtub. Water pressure was great with plenty of hot water and towels. Just a few notes for future guests: the stairs to the second floor are steep, so just something to be mindful of (though it wasn’t an issue for us). The upstairs bathroom could have been cleaned a little better, as we noticed old toothpaste in the sink and the tub wasn’t as clean as we expected. Also, the door to the downstairs bedroom with the bunk beds didn’t close or lock properly. The outside grounds were absolutely beautiful — we wish we had stayed another night! We would definitely love to come back. The only real challenge was getting the key. Since we all arrived separately, it was tricky coordinating because the host only allowed me to pick it up, and cell service was spotty in the area. I’m more used to self check-in options, but the hosts were very kind and accommodating when we arrived.Overall, we had a fantastic trip and would happily stay here again!

It was fun to watch the deer in the morning. . Meggin was an amazing host and made us feel welcome. We’re planning to come back and stay longer next time.
