Wonderful location, very nice place
We loved our brief stay at this home. Furnishings and decor were lovely, and the short walk to the beach was perfect.
Absolutely lovely apartment -- perfect for family of four exploring the best of Paris!
We're so glad we chose to stay here -- the apartment itself is in a beautiful area with great shops, restaurants and historic streets with the best food vendors open the outdoors, and easy-to-access Metro stops, all within 1-2 blocks. The apartment itself has so much charm, with its antiques and Persian style carpets on gorgeous hardwood floors to its modern leather sofas and just-enough-but-not-too-much tasteful paintings.
Everything is in great condition, it's super clean, the beds are comfortable, and the heated towel rack was used by all (we want one at home now!). We loved how it gave our family with two teen boys enough space to recharge/read/take a nap, and a comfortable family room and kitchen to be together at the end of the day. The clothes washer and dryer helped us pack light and worked great for smaller loads. And the kitchen worked well for making breakfasts before we headed out for sight-seeing.
We chose to have a greeter on the first day -- totally worth it for $20 euros. He showed us how to work the appliances, etc., and when we had a question once, he called back within 2 minutes of leaving a message. He also made sure we started with a stock of TP, paper towels, outlet converters, salt/sugar/etc. right from day one. I felt better knowing we had someone to reach out to if anything came up, too.
One thought if you come fall/winter/early spring - DON'T turn the heat up too much. You'll come home to a too-toasty apartment ;). Those old-style radiators work well!
Superb experience from start to finish - don't hesitate to stay here!
Absolutely fantastic apartment!
We loved this apartment. Everything was lovely and well-organized. Beds were so comfortable! A real gem in Paris!
Great place to stay
This apartment was perfect for our family of 4. The second bedroom has twin beds, which were great for the kids (10 & 11). The beds were comfortable and everything was clean - yay! There is a binder with lots of useful information, and two locals are on hand if you have any questions/issues. Having a washer and dryer is great - as well as a dishwasher. We liked the location (not touristy). The bakery across the street is *amazing*, and there are plenty of good places to eat within a short walk. Also it's convenient to be near the RER line that goes directly to the airport (Luxembourg stop). We also used the metro stop at Censier Daubenton, and there are several different buses that stop meters away from the apartment, which was great. Overall, we were happy with the apartment, and, of course, Paris is awesome!
Spacious, Clean and Comfortable
Apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Great neighborhood. Everything I needed was within walking distance. Was met upon arrival by someone who gave us all the details of the apartment and neighborhood. I would stay there again.
Charming apartment in a great neighborhood
The Le Latin apartment is a wonderful, old-fashioned apartment in a residential neighborhood in the 5th arrondissement. It's convenient to several Metro stops, and there is great food shopping nearby on the rue Mouffetard.
The only downside to this apartment is that the street on which it's located, rue Claude Bernard, has a lot of traffic noise, including at night. In the warmer weather this is a problem, as keeping the windows in the front bedroom open at night is very noisy. With the windows closed there is almost no noise, so staying in the cooler weather would be just fine.
2 blocks from Famous Rue Mouffetard, with it's open markets, restaurants, specialty foodstores, chic shops, street artists and ever stimulating Parisian Life, at its best! A walk from the Sorbonne, Pantheon and Jardin des Plantes park, with spectacular vistas, petting zoo, green house with exotique plants, and chairs and benches to People Watch. You can also stroll to the Jardin du Luxembourg and Seine River, and just over the Seine to the Hotel de Ville, Centre Pompidou and the Marais.
