The newly remodeled beach cottage is still “rustic”; it is basically the same as when my father built it with the addition of a few modern conviences. Its charm is the view from the front porch. If you are looking for luxury or spacious accommodations, it is not for you. It has a living area with cable TV. A dining table that seats four is located in the living area, with seating for two more at the kitchen counter. The kitchen is small but functional with dishwasher & microwave. The back bedroom has two twin beds. The bathroom separates the bedrooms, and like the kitchen it is small but functional. The front bedroom has a queen bed and TV. It has central air, with new ductwork in 2015. There is a washer and dryer in the garage. Parking for up to three cars is available at the side of the house, the garage is not available for parking.

About Jim Miller
This property was purchased by my father in the 20's. He built the 3rd house on the beach, previously the property had been federal 'lighthouse reservation'. The cottage was built in the 30's. Renovated in 2015.

Amazing view! This place was awesome.

Comfortable and relaxing.
This is our third stay at the 1930s Beach Cottage and we love it more each year. The cottage has everything that we need and is in a great location. We love sitting on the porch and enjoying the ocean. It's conveniently close to downtown Fernandina for great restaurants, bars, shops and the biweekly Saturday's Farmers' Market. Mr. Miller has been so helpful and accommodating and we're so thankful that he shares his family's cottage with us.

Like Mr. Miller said, if you are looking for big and luxurious/fancy, this is not the place. But, if you are looking for directly on the beach, conveniently located to town/restaurants, and pet friendly, then this IS it.
The porch is the charm of this cottage.....perfect for your morning coffee. Also, Mr. Miller has great suggestions for restaurants, car washes, dog parks, etc. 👍�

Rental Week is Saturday 3:00 PM to Saturday 12:00 Noon. Only last minute exception to weekly policy. Reservation deposit becomes security deposit on check in. $50.00 Refundable pet deposit.
