Retablos, a traditional folk art of Spanish New Mexico. The rooms have very high ceilings, wrought iron chandeliers and vigas. Wood floors and an exquisite Kiva fireplace, making this space a delightful place to gather. There is a flat screen TV to enjoy as well. About Wendy Kapp

A note from Wendy Kapp- Owner/Operator of Two Casitas Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, LLC

Having been raised in Chicago, my soul longed for the massive blue skies and mountains I first saw when my mother, well-known watercolor artist Phyllis Kapp of Waxlander Gallery, introduced me to this magnificent area when I was 6 years old.

While returning west in 1975, I came through Santa Fe and fell in love with Northern New Mexico once again. I found the people here, especially back in '75, to be the most authentic people I had ever met and I decided to make Santa Fe my home. My extensive knowledge from living here for since 1975 makes me the perfect, local hostess to give you tips on making your stay memorable. I hope you come to love Santa Fe and, in-turn Two Casitas, as much as I do.

Wendy Kapp purchased this house in 2012

Why Wendy Kapp chose Downtown

Location, location, location is why I chose these homes for our visitors. We want our guests to have the convenience of walking everywhere.

What makes this house unique

When you stay with Two Casitas you stay like a local, not like a tourist, and experience Santa Fe like you live here. Who knows, maybe you will someday!

Beautiful quiet home close to Plaza

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying at this home. The interior was lovely and the roof top deck was very nice. There are only 2 reasons I'm not giving it a 5: 1. Walkability. It is in very close vicinity to all of Santa Fe amenities except that from the location walking to town meant you were walking along narrow busy, traffic filled streets. 2. Too small dining table- Another challenge for our group was the size of the dining table with not quite enough chairs. There was a bench which was helpful for our kids, but it would have been uncomfortable for adults. We had 4 adults and 3 kids in our group.

Owner's Response: I apologize that the home didn't fully live up to your expectations. Santa Fe is generally very pedestrian friendly, however the streets are quite old, and haven't been updated for modern standards. Tecolote is a 5-minute walk from The Plaza, but you do have to be alert. Thank you for pointing that out for future guests. Tecolote is better suited for 6 people, so having the extra person can be challenging when it comes to dining in the home. We apologize if that wasn't clear in the pictures or listing description. Despite all that, we're thrilled that you enjoyed the home overall! Next time you book with us, we'll be sure to have a more detailed conversation to find the right home for you!

South Texas visits Santa Fe!!!

Tecolote is nestled in one of the best and quietest areas of the city. Walking distance if you wanted, and very driveable. Wonderful place to spend with family. Kitchen, laundry, fireplace and bar-b-que pit...what else do you need. Thanks for everything!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Telecote!

  • 5 of 5

This lovely home is comfortable, welcoming, clean and well supplied. All the comforts of home...from cooking to laundry, if needed. We made good use of the upper patio and enjoyed the peacful neighbourhood and views. Easily located to explore both by foot and car. Managers were easily accessible if needed, and cared to check in on us, which was nice. We would love to come back, or, experience another of their properties. Will definitely recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tecolote casita.

The home was perfect for us and it made our trip so enjoyable to have a beautiful home to come back to at the end of the day.

Cooking in the home was an absolute delight as was the hot tub.

We very much look forward to a return trip hopefully this time next year.

We will certainly recommend.
