Impeccable vacation house in the heart of town.

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. The house is brand new and gorgeous. We were travelling with our two young children and they loved playing in the yard. The kitchen was amazing and we were able to cook great breakfasts and lunches there for them. The espresso maker helped with mom and dad's energy too.

The neighborhood is quiet and an easy stroll to the plaza. We would walk to and from downtown several times a day, visiting shops and restaurants or in my wife's case, attending a conference.

Mountain bike trails are a beautiful ten minute ride away- I was able to squeeze in a ride to Dales Ball trails and rode from the house.

The beds are huge and comfortable, the bathrooms are well appointed, and the kitchen is beautiful. Amazing Jenn-Aire appliances, beautiful quartz counter-tops throughout the house, and a large laundry room too. My six year old watched an undersea documentary in 3-D on the huge 65(?) inch 3D tv. "this is amazing" he said. All in all, the perfect, well appointed, home base for our family of four to enjoy a long weekend in Santa Fe. We'll be back for sure.

home away from home

We loved this house! Many things to recommend it. Great location- an easy walk to the plaza.

The furnishings were lovely and comfy. Extremely well equipped kitchen. Lovely decks. Great mattresses. We liked the coded door no need for keys. Ample parking. It was perfect in every way. We highly recommend the palace gem. We will definitely stay there again.

Wish I could give six stars

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful place in immaculate condition. The location is perfect too. Ever wish you didn't have to give a place five stars so you might keep it a secret, that's this home. We have been renting various homes in Santa Fe via VRBO for a decade or more, this was by far the cleanest and best prepared place we have found. When we walked in the front door it felt like the remodel was just completed and we were the first ever renters. Incredible appliance and furnishings, and a layout that was ideal, lots of separation between the master bedroom and the kitchen an living room. We will be back, so please leave some available calendar dates everybody!

Lived like Royalty in Palace Gem

  • 5 of 5

While the location in the historic district is ideal- a short ten minute walk to both the central Plaza and Canyon Road, we were a bit wary that the accommodations would be "historic" as well. What a fabulous gem this completely renovated and perfectly appointed Craftsman style bungalow turned out to be! Commodious and comfortable rooms, updated bathrooms and an inviting kitchen equipped with all of the appliances and tools necessary to prepare a romantic meal at home. My husband and I are already planning a return trip- this time with another couple who will enjoy their own bedroom and bathroom. And, we cannot forget to mention the outdoor living spaces as well. Our days began with coffee in the morning on one deck and ended with a glass of wine under the stars on another. One evening my husband actually grilled salmon for me and we dined outdoors. That meal was followed by a stroll to the Plaza for dessert. Other activities included hiking, art gallery tours and shopping! A wonderful visit to Santa Fe made perfect by our stay at Palace Gem. If you want to live like royalty, Palace Gem is the place for you!

Truly a gem

  • 5 of 5

We had noticed this sweet little 1920s Craftsman bungalow while walking through this historic neighborhood on a previous visit. Its complete renovation is impressive, especially in the private areas of the house – spacious bedrooms and baths with wonderful details. We stayed three nights and opted to cook in on two of them, largely because the kitchen is so pleasing and complete. And the location is just right – a 10-minute walk to both Canyon Road and to the Plaza. We did notice two possible issues for some travelers: the one kiva fireplace is in the master bedroom, not the living/dining/kitchen area; and pet owners (we brought our old canine friend) should know the yard is fenced but the driveway is open to Palace Avenue, which can be busy at times. Neither of which spoiled our stay in the least. Definitely a place for repeat visits.
