Relaxe à Beira-mar! Praia Larga! Bela Vista da Varanda

Relax and enjoy the view of the ocean from the screen porch or open decks. The beach path wanders through the dunes to the beach where you can enjoy the beauty of nature away from the crowds.

The home offers a family-friendly atmosphere with plenty of room for everyone. The fully-equipped kitchen and open family area are perfect for friends and family. A TV with VCR/DVD is located in the family area. There is a large table with seating for ten plus another smaller table for eating, playing games, or putting together a puzzle. Wireless internet service is provided.

Each of 4 bedrooms is furnished with a queen size bed. The fifth bedroom, The Bunkhouse, has a set of bunk beds and a double bed topped with a single bunk for sleeping for 5. All the kids enjoy their own special room with TV and VCR/DVD.

A golf cart is included for your pleasure in exploring the Island and looking for deer. There is also a ping-pong table and hammock for relaxing under the house. Our kids always manage to collect other kids on vacation to 'hang out' in the play area under the house.

The Fripp address is 703 S. Red Drum Road located just off Marlin and about half way between the Beach Club and Ocean Point Golf Course.

Four amenity cards are provided with a full weeks rental of this property and additional cards may be purchased. No cards are provided with a partial week rental, but they can be purchased. These cards allow you to enjoy all the recreational facilities and restaurants on the Island.

This house was fabulous!!! We had a group of 11 and one with mobility issues that needed the elevator. There was plenty of room both inside and out. The beach access is steps away. However, we had never been to Fripp Island before and did not realize there was still a long walk from the access point to the beach. Once you got to the beach it was not crowded. The kitchen in this house had more dishes, cooking pots/pans, equipment than I could ever use…you will not need to bring anything for cooking from home. The host was very responsive, helpful, and friendly. I would highly recommend this house.

Great Place

Had a great stay at this great house. Plenty of room very kid friendly. Walk to beach was a little longer than expected but beach was beautiful. Wonderful island & surroundings!

Overall, we enjoyed our time at the beach, but we were disappointed that the property did not live up to the listing, especially considering we paid nearly 5,000 for a four-night stay.The home was advertised as being recently renovated/remodeled, but it felt much more dated than expected. We also encountered some cleanliness issues upon arrival, including mouse droppings inside the kitchen cabinets and on some of the cookware, which was concerning.The air conditioning struggled to keep the house comfortable, and with it being the middle of summer, that made a noticeable difference during our stay. We also noticed that the return air filters were nearly black and covered with dirt, which may have contributed to the system's poor performance and suggested that routine maintenance had been overlooked.The listing included two golf carts, which was a nice amenity, but both showed significant wear. One would roll on an incline even with the parking brake engaged, creating a safety concern, and the other was very slow, making it less practical to use.We understand that no vacation rental is perfect, but for the price we paid, we expected the property to more closely match the listing and to be better maintained. We hope these issues are addressed, as the home has the potential to provide a much better experience for future guests.

Sorry the house did not meet your expectations, but it was not advertised as being renovated and remodeled. I told you we had installed the elevator and converted a bathroom, information that was not yet been included in the listing. I will address cleanliness with housekeeping but I have never, ever seen any indication of mice. A new HVAC system was installed in May and it was functioning properly during your stay. Return air vents and filters were cleaned and changed in May before we left for the summer season so routine maintenance was performed. Again, there was no problem with the golf cart when we left and I called to schedule maintenance on it as soon as you let me know. The parking brake has been repaired.

Fun family week " By the Sea"

Plenty of space inside and outside for family fun. ( 8 adults, 5 kids- ages 3-11)Close to beach, large screened porch , kids table...for games/eating. Well stocked: linens and kitchen items.

Perfect Family Beach House

The house had everything we needed for the week. The location to the beach was close by too. We spent most of our time in the evenings on the screened in porch. I would definitely rent this house again. The property owner was easy to reach and very responsive to our needs.

Worth a repeat

Everything was as advertised and we lacked for nothing. We enjoyed the ocean view, the two golf carts, the pools and the walk to the beach was reasonable. Fripp has a very wide beach access so we were not surpriseed

Great House

We have stayed here several times. The house is clean upon arrival. The screened in porch is the best. The small ocean view is wonderful. Stocked well. Patricia responds quickly to your emails.

Perfect for our family!

This house was the perfect fit for our family. The rain kept us inside for the first few days of our stay and there was plenty of room to relax and hang out together. We loved the big dining room table for meals and games and the screened in porch was perfect for watching the rain. The owners were wonderful with communicating with us and even let us stay an extra night so we could get some extra beach time! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our trip!

Great Place for Family

I was a bit worried by the pictures that the living space would be large enough for our group. We had 7 adults and 6 children from 18 months - 12. The layout of this home was perfect. The bedrooms were isolated and we couldn’t hear people in the common area when we went to bed. The screened in porch was our gathering spot and the kids loved the sand pit. The outside shower was great to have as well. If you haven’t gone to Fripp you need to for sure!! Patricia was great at answering all my questions

Perfect location. Perfect house

We were blown away by the ocean view from a truly fantastic screened in porch. It's where we spent most days and nights. The kitchen was well appointed. Nice fast golf cart. The house is divided nicely with 2 separate 'wings' with bedrooms and the main living area in the center. It's nice those wings could be closed off with doors to separate kids and those early to bed from the night owls. Perfect 10 out of 10. Thanks for sharing your home!

Location is everything

This is the second annual Fripp Island trip for three moms and six kids, but our first time at this house. This is a great beach house for people with kids. It isn't too fussy, the floors are easy to clean, and the beach access is just across the street. The moms enjoyed morning coffee and evening drinks on the porch with ocean views. The kids liked walking to the beach, the bunk room, and seeing (but not feeding) all the deer. We would stay again. Our only critiques (they are few and surface level): While the kitchen is well stocked, it is pretty disorganized and hard to find things. the knives are super dull. there weren't any beach chairs (other places have had this), there is shuffleboard, but not the equipment, and the beach wagon wasn't usable. Again, we enjoyed our stay. The owner was super easy to communicate with, and the location (proximity to beach as well as the beach itself) was perfect.

Thank you for the review. I’m just now looking at some of them! I know exactly what you are saying about disorganization. When I go back after summer rentals, I’m aghast at the mess! I can assure you I start the summer season with things organized and knives sharp!

Amazing views and location

Patricia was wonderful, responded quickly and wanted our stay to be as pleasant as possible. The house was well-stocked, had great views, a sandbox and a large side yard for the littles to play and two well maintained golf carts to get around in! The house was in a great location and the split bedroom floor plan gave the families privacy! The beds were comfortable and the large dining table, bar stools and dinette table accommodated our group of 11 with seating to spare! The open decking or screened porch options offered outdoor seating for sunning or enjoying summer showers! We loved the house and Patricia and plan on rebooking next year. If you have youngsters or adults who need screen time to relax, make sure to bring a streaming device! TVs are not smart TVs so you can't utilize your streaming services! Wasn't a problem for us as our littles brought their tablets and Wi-Fi worked great!

Great house!

My parents are homeowners on the island and rented this house when we had extended family visit. I stayed here along with my sister’s family. We had 9 in total. The house is great and even better than the photos. The kitchen is large and spacious and plenty of room for two to be cooking at once. Great large dining table that fit us all, but there also additional tables/chairs and bar stools at counter. No shortage of seating! There are essentially two bedroom wings that can be closed off with the kitchen and living areas in the middle. Great for two families or families with younger kids to sleep at night. The teens played ping pong downstairs every night and the second fridge on the ground level was great to keep drinks. But our favorite part was the screened porch, where we’d sit all times of the day with a nice breeze and view of the ocean. If we need extra room again in the future, we will definitely be back.

The house was way better than we expected! We had many families together and there was plenty of room to accommodate everyone comfortably. We loved the elevator and the front porch with the ocean view! Having two golf carts helps out a ton! We throughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back!

Great Family vacation

Our 3 children thier spouses and grandchildren spent Thanksgiving at this property. The house was perfect for our group. Kids loved being together in the bunk room. Big kitchen and dining area that everyone could sit at. Amenities like golf cart and ping pong table were a big hit.
