Hermosa casa frente al mar de 2 hab / 2 baños en la exquisita costa oeste de Barbados

Ocean Hollow es una encantadora casa de dos dormitorios de dos niveles situada en la hermosa playa de Fitts Village, en la muy buscada costa platino de Barbados. Cada habitación cuenta con un baño privado, uno con una cama king y otro con una reina. La sala de estar principal tiene una enorme puerta corrediza de vidrio que se abre a las brillantes y cristalinas aguas azules del mar Caribe. La casa también está perfectamente ubicada a 10 metros de una parada de autobús que te puede llevar a casi cualquier parte de la isla. Además, al estar ubicado en la costa oeste de la isla, tendrá acceso a algunos de los mejores destinos de cocina y compras, incluido el restaurante Cliff Restaraunt, de fama mundial, a solo 0,5 km en coche de la casa. También estamos a solo 4 km en automóvil del elite Lime Grove Lifestyle Center, que cuenta con algunas de las mejores tiendas de la isla y un hermoso cine nuevo.
Esta casa es perfecta para los viajeros que solo quieren sentarse y disfrutar viendo la puesta de sol sobre el mar Caribe y pasar sus días caminando en nuestras playas de arena blanca. También es perfecto para los viajeros más rápidos que desean alojarse en una zona rica y vibrante con acceso a algunos de los mejores bares en las concurridas calles 1ª y 2ª de Holetown, a solo 15 minutos en autobús.
También estamos ubicados a solo 3 km del campus de la Universidad de las Indias Occidentales en Cave Hill, lo que nos convierte en el lugar perfecto para visitar estudiantes o padres.

The property is a jewel. Location is right on the beach- literally! During high-tide the waves splash onto the backyard. It is not a modern villa, it feels like being at a relative's home. It is fully equipped with everything. The house gets warm in the living room area, as AC is only in the bedrooms. I enjoyed my time here- definitely will book again. You can not beat the view and beach at your feet...

Best local experience on the West Coast!

Ocean Hollow is simply lovely and my favorite accommodation in Barbados! Amazing location with a gate right out to the sea. Walking distance to Jordan's supermarket and several local restaurants! The property manager, Chloe, is a gem!

Stunning location

We had a fabulous week at Ocean Hollow. The property was fantastic inside and just as described. But the photos didn't do the location justice - it's right on the beach with the waves coming up the the gate at high tide. The views were stunning witand there was lots to do within a 10 minute walk.

WONDERFUL STAY

The house is absolutely fantastic and has everything that you need for a fun holiday. The kitchen was very well stocked and the freezer /fridge fantastic( ice in buckets) The location is right on the beach. The only minus point is the coral in front but a short walk brings you to good sandy beach. All in all we had a fantastic stay and I cant give enough praise for your place Chloe.

Sweet place

We had a very nice stay. Lot's of keys to lock and unlock when you come and go, but got used to that pretty quickly. Internet was great, view could not be better. Kitchen well stocked so cooking was easy. Loved the trees on the property. Met the owners and they were helpful and delightful.

Great location for our first visit to Barbados. The house has everything you need and with bus stops just outside it's easy to get around without the use of a car. Although not the most modern property it is clean and comfortable, at a great price. Chloe the host was very helpful and replied immediately to any enquiries we had. Would definitely recommend Ocean Hollow for your stay in Barbados.

Just back from our 2 week Christmas & New Year stay at Ocean Hollow. Beautiful, clean and well equipped house. The bedrooms are spacious, air conditioned with comfy beds and good size en suites in each. The kitchen has everything you need and more. Wifi is strong with plenty of charging points for all your electrical bits & bobs. Having said all that, the real star is the outside space. Lovely veranda for BBQ's, garden with sunloungers and then there's the view. Stunning does not do it justice. Sunrises, sunsets and everthing in between as though painted by Monet himself. A very special place.Wifi is good, penty of charging points

Perfect tranquillity.

Fantastic location right on the beach. The bungalow is clean, well maintained and well furnished and kitchen has all that you need for adventurous cooking and cocktail making. If you’re not a sun worshiper, the mature trees provide and large veranda provide plenty of shade during the heat of day and a superb frame to the spectacular sunsets. The beach is never crowded. Bikini Beach Bar is 200m to the south and provides great snacks & drinks during the day and a full menu in the evenings. To the north is Crystal Cove where you can do all the usual water sports if desired.

Sea lapping at the gate!

Just returned from our second stay in this property. What a location, right on the beach (literally) as the sea comes up to the gate! Value for money you would be hard pushed to get a more idyllic position. Ocean Hollow is a very spacious property with 2 large air conditioned en suite bedrooms, an open plan sitting room/dining area and a kitchen. The beds are very comfortable and the sofas are more comfortable than the ones we have at home! A car isn't essential but we hired one this time and it gave us much more flexibility for eating out and getting to a bigger supermarket. Buses are readily available and cheap but having seen how fast they are driven we decided to give those a miss! Chloe is an excellent host and responds immediately to any contact.

Highly recommend Ocean Hollow

We stayed at Ocean Hollow for 16 days in June 2023 and had such a great experience. The house is a cute beach cottage and is literally steps from the sea…just open the back gate and you are on the beach! The two bedrooms are comfortable, quite large and both have en suite bathrooms one w king bed and one w queen bed. Both bedrooms have air conditioning units that work very well. The indoor living area is comfortable but the best area to hang out in the evening is the back patio which is spacious with ceiling fans and has comfortable furniture. The kitchen is well equipped and the washer/dryer are so nice to have, especially when you stay for a longer period. Parking by the house is private and spacious and parks about 4 cars comfortably. Chloe, the Property Manager, is great and provides very detailed info and is available if you need her and is super responsive. Can’t wait for our next stay at Ocean Hollow ☺️

Amazing gem on the beach

I am a Barbadian living in the US who just stayed at Ocean Hollow for Christmas week with my husband and his two kids. We had the most amazing time and I would would recommend this house highly in terms of location, amenities, and value for money. Anyone who knows the West Coast of Barbados knows it is very expensive. At Ocean Hollow you get West Coast beaches and restaurants without paying typical prices. It is obviously not a fancy villa with maid, cook etc. which cost 10-20 times more but we’re well-travelled people who like our comforts and we would rent this house again anytime. We were pleasantly surprised at how big the rooms were; the kitchen has a modern dishwasher and washer/dryer and comes well stocked with dishes, appliances, cookware, etc. And there was loads of room to have friends over and relax on the shady patio. We saw a few mosquitoes but that’s common everywhere on the west and south coasts. We used vape mats and citronella candles etc to keep them at bay. Best of all, the beach is right there. I was worried about access at high tide but you can always get to the Crystal Cove beaches via a short path and there is an even better beach to the left that is very quiet but best accessed at low tide. All of our friends who came to visit loved it too. And Chloe was a delight to work with. We can’t wait to go back.

What we were looking for

We have rented flats and houses on this site and others throughout Europe and North America and consider ourselves savvy renters. The holiday rental experience is a cocktail consisting of 1 part diligent research, 1 part good two way communication and 1 part pure leap of faith. When you get what you expect based on photos, reviews and owner feedback, that's success. Our 7 night stay at Ocean Hollow turned out to be what we were seeking and what we expected. Our key requirement was to be beachfront and Ocean Hollow's location on the west side of the island met that requirement - in spades. We spent many relaxing hours eating meals, reading our books and watching the surf on the comfortable deck metres from the ocean. Others have noted that getting in for a swim is a "rocky" experience. My partner is a capable swimmer and diver and had no difficulty (bring water shoes); but if you are seeking endless beach days swimming off a sandy beach and baking in the sun, stick to an all-inclusive. If instead you are looking for a private, quiet, well-furnished self-catered experience, with the ability to visit lovely restaurants (you will need a car, be willing to take taxis, or take local buses as we often did) this house if for you. We enjoyed our week immensely. Bonus points given for: helpful and lovely interactions with Chloé, outdoor hot shower, washer/dryer/, lightning fast wifi, big screen TV to watch the Academy Awards, the incredibly gracious and helpful locals, and more. Constructive feedback to owners: It may be time for a small cash outlay for some additional kitchen basics (tools and staples), new linens, firmer and newer mattresses, better kitchen and bathroom lighting, and yes, please think about doing something about those treacherous master bathroom stairs, as one reviewer pointed out. Thank you!

Good location! Beautiful views!

The property had a beautiful view and was in a great location to venture out around the island which we did every day with our car rental. We are a family of 4- Mom and Dad, 17 year old son and 4 year old daughter. Chloe went out of her way to make our Christmastime visit especially sweet for our 4 year old including having a small table-sized Christmas tree up and decorated for Santa to visit. The beds were extremely comfortable and the house had all the basic necessities. Negatives of the property is that it's basically a split level in part so you have to use steps into the master bathroom which were a little scary for me and our little girl. This was also true to enter the den/dining/kitchen area and again to go onto the porch, again to get to the yard and again to step onto the beach. This was a negative for me as I am physically handicapped and I apparently missed this information when I reviewed the property. The steps are also concerning for small kids especially the bathroom. We were also startled early Christmas morning by some man violently beating on the front door repeatedly until we answered him and he stated he was collecting money for "old people". We've traveled all over the world and that was a first. We were securely locked in behind the metal gates on the front and back door and the windows but it was still alarming. I understand this is beyond the owners control but with the house set back off the main road it was rather odd. The mosquitoes here are significant so the idea of opening the front and backdoors for a breezeway were just not an option. Overall rating of Barbados for us was a B-. We loved the daily adventures and the views were beautiful. We enjoyed Bathsheba, The Animal Flower Bay (including the restaurant), the Flower Forest, Earthworks, Carlisle Bay, Mullins Beach, Sandy Lane, Speightstown, Holetown, etc. The food was extremely expensive even compared to Hawaii and the South Pacific and it was difficult to get reservations to a lot of restaurants because of the holidays although we travel every holiday. We don't revisit islands so we are thankful we were able to visit Barbados and overall it was an enjoyable experience for our family. Thank you Chloe!

Alles wat je nodig hebt is er. Op de veranda staan comfortabele meubels, maar wat vernieuwing van het meubilair is aan te raden . Lekker dat er ventilatoren bij de veranda zijn. Op de slaapkamers is goede airco, dus de nachtrust is uitstekend. Huis staat aan zee, je kunt zwemmen voor het huis maar door de hoge zee niet altijd makkelijk. Je loopt zo naar het strandje ernaast. De woning voelde veilig, was schoon en had ruime parkeerplekken. Zou hier zeker nog eens heengaan. Het contact met Chloe de eigenaar was zeer goed. Ze reageerde snel op vragen. Top vakantie!

Lovely Villa at a great location

My wife and I stayed for 19 days at the property and it was perfect. Everything we needed, lots of space and right on the sea front. The location of the Villa is excellent, just a stroll down to Fitts village and Jordans supermarket or a bus ride into Holetown with the bus stops more or less right outside. A short walk along the beach takes you to Crystal Cove beach which is perfect for swimming and sunbathing. When we arrived there was a 9pm curfew, but that did not in any way detract from our enjoyment. Overall a great relaxing holiday with no issue.

Magical!

What an amazing experience! Everything exceeded expectations from the start. The owners, a wonderful family, ensured I was settled in comfortably from the first day. The bottle of rum punch, rock cakes, coconut bread, pitcher of cold water and plenty of ice were most welcome gifts and extras to start my stay. Heidi returned at the end of the day to drive me to the supermarket so I could fill the pantry with food. She shared so many ideas of places to see and things to do. Andrew, her husband, was equally engaging and helpful. If I ever needed help Chloe, Heidi and Andrew's daughter, was a text away. Felt spoiled with the immediate attention any of my inquires received. I'm sharing a few highlights. Know that you are gong to are about to have a most magical time. Location and home were ideal. Large two bedroom house, fully equipped with attention to important details. Had laundry detergent available, the kitchen was fully equipped, shampoo and conditioner, lots of hand soap and the list goes on. You walk down 8 steps and maybe 10 strides to arrive at the sea. Paradise my friends! Access to about 1 mile of beach - great for my morning walk. Ocean Hollow is the place for you to stay if you want to immediately start enjoying your time in Barbados and leave your worries behind. The owners, like all Bajans, only want you to enjoy everything the island has to offer. Welcome to Paradise Plus my friends.

A Piece of Paradise

So much better than advertised is all we can say about Ocean Hollow! Stunning beach and sea views serenaded by the rolling waves, this wonderful property did not disappoint. Any questions or concerns we had were dealt with promptly and courteously. Especially during this challenging time, Chloe was invaluable with her recommendations and assistance when we needed it. Situated just off the main road, fully fenced with direct access to the sand and sea, Ocean Hollow is a rare find! It is suitable for couples and small families. Pets are also welcome! We can’t wait to return!

Sea Glass and Sunsets

Ocean Hollow is a beautiful place to stay while visiting Barbados. It is on the west coast just south of Holetown and north of Bridgetown. The house is a large two bedroom, two bathroom with everything we needed for a family of four. The bedrooms are air conditioned for comfort at night and the multiple windows allows for the ocean breeze to flow through the house. My favourite place was the back porch where I enjoyed yoga each morning and a cup of coffee watching the waves of the ocean. The ocean is literally at your back steps. During high tide it is sometimes splashing into the yard. I hope you take a moment to say hi to your neighbour. He is the kindest man and made our stay even more memorable. We enjoyed many a sunset together talking about the island and the world. We took our family to Barbados for over a month to experience the country and live somewhere safer than home at the moment. The experience was invaluable. My partners family is from Barbados and for all of us it was like coming home. The island is beautiful and the people are kind and warm and welcoming. Ask Chloe for the contact of an amazing taxi driver, Ronald. We decided not to drive and used a taxi a couple of times a week instead. He may be a little more expensive than others but he is kind, informative, reliable, punctual and warm. We made a friend for life. Jordons Supermarket is right down the street and I preferred it over Massy but I also cooked a lot of local meals and everything you need for that is there. The fish market was incredible. We ate a lot of seared tuna steaks, flying fish and marlin. The Esso close by to the market had a vegetable vendor, atm, and staples. The best Roth’s can be found next door at The Roti Place. Lovely people too. On your way to the fish market or home, the Crane has a French pastry cart for your morning croissants or dinner baguette. Wendy’s Restaurant and Bar is super close if you cut through Brewsters lot and has great local food and also ribs and chicken and fries. There are huge screens to watch sports and lovely people. Being there through a pandemic is eye opening. The government is well run and incredibly careful and thoughtful. Those of us coming from the Western World do not realize the impact of the reduction of one industry like tourism and how significantly it impacts a whole island. Tourists are needed and encouraged but so is safety, understanding., and respect. Thank you Chloe!

This house is owned by my Grandmother Christine, but managed by me, her granddaughter. Granny was born and bred in Barbados and has a special love for collecting unique and special property throughout the isalnd. This property is one of her favorites and we are so happy to share it with you.

The house has been owned and operated by our family for over 50 years. My grandmother has overseen countless renovations and updates and it is a property very close to our heart. It is a beautiful family home on an exquisite, private beach with the most beautiful blue water and white sand. Stay with us and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.
