Nice place to get away
Very well furnished and supplied house. Off the grid comes to mind as to the lack of people and traffic. 5 life long friends spent our days on the huge front porch or in the back yard doing nothing. We highly recommend this place for an escape from the world. Thank you kindly for offering it.
Cabin in the mountains.
The cabin location was wonderful. We enjoyed our time with friends at the cabin and the Fall Foliage Festival in Ronova. The cabin was clean and well equipped. The only problem we experienced was mice. It is the time of year for mice to want to be inside. The cabin owners had mice traps available and we used them while at the cabin. We enjoyed a campfire each night. There was plenty of fire wood available in the woods. A buck, doe and fawn walked by the cabin in the morning. I look forward to renting this cabin again.
A relaxing weekend
If you’re looking for a well furnished secluded cabin in the Pennsylvania wilds look no further. The cabin was constructed within the last 10 years and while its not very large, it’s the perfect size for a weekend getaway with friends or family. The kitchen was well furnished with a gas stove, full size refrigerator, plenty of cookware and a outdoor grill—just bring food. The front porch is a great outdoor space and is one of this cabins greatest assets. There was also a small fire pit in the backyard. The water supply is not treated so bottled water is recommended for drinking, but was fine for washing dishes and showering. Contrary to the other review, I found the owners to be friendly and extremely accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay here!
We were very disappointed after a 3 day stay at the cabin in July. We wanted to visit the Cherry Springs state park, but found that to be quite a long drive from this place. The Hyner Run State park is the only close attraction. The cabin was in disrepair and we could not use the shower because there was no knob on it. To make matters worse the property owner accused us of breaking the knob and refused to refund the security deposit even in part.
Sorry you disliked the cabin. This review is exactly opposite from the one left in the journal at the house. I told you Cherry Springs was 45 miles away over an hour ride before you booked. And you chose to book anyway. I had another guest said it was a nice ride & a wonderful experience to go to Cherry Springs from the house And they enjoyed the small town of Galeton & restaurants...The cabin is secluded in the woods of Pennsylvania Wilds. All State parks ect are at least 20 min away This place is meant for people wanting to escape the hustle & bustle of city life. I had inspected the house before you arrived & nothing was broken All the damaged items have been repaired.
