About this property
DOLPHIN VISTA. 2bd 2bth unit 5 feet from the water! Dolphin shows all day!
This is a wonderful place to relax. 2 Bed, 2 ensuite baths with separate shower rooms. Two screened decks; one has the dining table the other is a sitting room. Sun, rain, and bug free, they are always the perfect place to relax. Dolfin shows daily, 50 feet across the channel. Snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, reading or walking. Small beach, kayak use included; can tie off to the mooring ball and swim/snorkel the reef. Several restaurants in the area or catch a taxi to West End. This is a local community so you have locals for neighbors, which I enjoy.

The house was really roomy, spacious, we loved that we was able to sit on the deck. We like jumping off the dock into the water, we enjoyed the kayak and paddle boat. We was fortunate to watch all the dolphins show. What we didn't like was all the algy that was in the water and also there's too much water traffic due to the dolphins shows, so all day you have the boats contaminating the water with diesel that when we were swimming we all we're itching and had bad rash do to all that gas. We eventually had to go to west bay and west end to go swimming in the beaches and nearby pools. Overall we love the house and the location it was in. The locals were friendly and we felt safe walking around the neighborhood. We also visit Anthony's Keys Resort restaurant.
This is our second time at this house. What a fantastic location with the dolphins right off the dock! I love the improvements with more white, more lights and more fans. We really enjoy being right in a local neighborhood (if you prefer resort vacations, this is probably not the place for you). We have loved getting to know the people who live around here. This place certainly has a piece of our hearts. The owners were amazing! They flexed to let us stay when our flight was cancelled even though they were coming in. Thank you!!

Thank you for the wonderful review guys. We are so happy that you got to enjoy it here again and use the property exactly what it is here for. Until the next time. Thank you
Had a lovely time in Roatan at Jennifer's home. She happened to be in town when our flight arrived and picked us up at the airport and brought us for groceries. The house was clean, and exactly as advertised. Jennifer provided us with the name of a tour guide who brought us on a day tour and was fantastic. The dock on the house's beach overlooking Anthony's Kay provided front row seats to multiple daily dolphin shows, as a result there was a lot of small boat traffic of people trying to catch a glimpse of the dolphins in action.
This place is magical! Even better than the listing. They have everything you need and would want right at the property. Really good snorkeling and coral around the dolphin pen and beyond. The property manager is living in an apartment on the lowest level of the house. Paul was great. Lots of suggestions of places to eat, where to snorkel... full of knowledge. It looks like the house is sold so I don't know what will happen but we loved everything about this quirky house. We were always discovering things to look at, from architecture to the photos and art in the house. The top level is hot. To hot to sleep in. We tried to move a fan up there but it really only helped one person if you directed it right at them. We would watch the dolphin show every morning and loved watching them. Paul told us about an octopus he saw one morning right by the pier. It was so cool to see. WE had parrots in the trees, hummingbirds all around us. It truly was a magical experience.
We did not plan for Tropical depression Sara to visit us on our stay, but she did. The house is so solid and sturdy we actually sat out in the screened in porches to enjoy the wind and rain. We also got to watch the Dolphins and their feeders and also did the encounter, when the weather finally cleared. Beds comfy queens kitchen has everything you could need to cook, big gas stove, drinking water tanks, caretakers next door, locked gate with parking (probably 3 cars max). The patio furnature was comfortable, the decks solid, screened proches one with large dining table and chairs, the other more for reading. The bed rooms are vaulted beautiful wood crafted and high with an AC unit above the bed, and many ceiling fans. Walk in tile shower with plentiful hot water. The main house/LR /Kitchen have no ac, and then a stairway to the top floor with fouton , couch , chair and the big TV, netflix and a tiny balcony with hurricane shades The beach is just right there, and when you go out into the dock, its just waist level. There are boats going by occassionally, but they are slow, so swimming is not great. But the little beach is perfect and private. Across the narrow street is the community center and local houses , and just 2 blocks away from the Dolphin encounter/Anthony's key and the main highway (but you can't hear it, just the gentle lapping of the ocean) the encounter fence kept any tidal surge out, and the trees caught most of the wind. we could have stayed there "forever".

I am from Wyoming. Currently we love spending lots of time in Honduras during the winter months. I love to snorkel, float in the water, play pickleball, and hike.
Why they chose this property
We chose the neighborhood because it is local. We have found it to be safe. However, we do not leave things outside at night. The neighbors are friendly but you do experience some of their culture - music and fireworks! I often shop in the local store for basic foods.
What makes this property unique
Our property is unique as in the back is a local neighborhood but in the front is a gorgeous ocean vista with several dolphin shows per day. You can snorkel right off the dock.
