Overview

About the property

Apartment, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

A quiet and cozy spot in the heart of the valley to kick back and relax. Of course if you don't want to do that - there are so many outdoor activities right outside your door. This is a spot where you can read a book by the fire or sit outside on the large deck and be amazed by the view of the Bridger Mountains. If you decide to step out and do something in the outdoors, your choices are limitless. We are only 15 minutes from 'the locals favorite' ski spot - Bridger Bowl. Or, if you are more adventurous, Big Sky and Moonlight Basin Ski Resorts are only about 40 minutes away. We also have cross-country skiing, quiet places to snowshoe and lots of hills for sledding. If you come in the summer we have a great trail hiking system, Canyon Ferry Lake (1 Hour), waterfalls to visit and zip lining - if you want to get a different perspective of a great view. If you go downtown you will find The Museum of the Rockies, fabulous restaurants, fantastic antique stores and many quaint little stores with items made/painted by local artists. We are only about 10 minutes from Montana State University and the Fieldhouse.

This is an upstairs unit located just 5 minutes from Bozeman in a small, quiet subdivision. It is a loft (above a 3 stall garage) we built to live in while building a house next door. Our family has spent time in VRBO units and we know what it takes to make your trip memorable. With that in mind; we take all efforts to make sure your visit here is outstanding. We will make sure everything is spotlessly cleaned and will shovel the snow off the steps before your arrival. The place has one room with a queen size bed and a desk with a large walk-in closet. The other room has 2 twin size beds and a standard closet. The bathroom is supplied with linens and a washer and dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances and dishes you might need. The living room has a gas fireplace and a love-seat and full size couch. It has a flat screen T.V with a DVD player. We have lots of games and movies and reading material. The large entrance deck has a glass rectangular table and chairs and a new BBQ. Under the deck there is a carport for parking. One additional parking space will be provided if you need it. We also have a large gravel pad if you need parking for and R.V. There is room for the kids to play in the yard and lots of privacy for sitting on the deck and enjoying the spectacular views.

About Melissa

We moved to Bozeman in 1993 and are still in love with it. We moved here because of the hunting and fishing, but have found that, even though it is known for that, there are so many more things to do here. I have dabbled in the real estate market here and my husband is a builder. We like watch and participate in sports. We are avid MSU Bobcat fans!

Melissa purchased this apartment in 2000

Why Melissa chose Bozeman

We built this little loft to live in while we were building a house next door. It is above a 3 car garage with a deck for for some covered parking and amazing sunsets! We feel like this area has so many recreational activities. We also like that it is so close to MSU and Yellowstone National Park. We have lots of family that likes to visit and we think it's such a fantastic place, that we want to share it with more than our family.

If you like caverns - we have the Lewis and Clark Caverns about an hour away. We also have 2 quaint little towns ( Virginia and Nevada Cities) a short drive away. These are great day trips for the family to learn a little history, take in a play, get some homemade ice cream or stroll the old board walks.

We also have Canyon Ferry Lake about 50 minutes away. Our favorite activities on the lake are surfing and tubing. This is also a great lake for jet skiing, sailing (Yacht Basin) and fishing.

The Gallatin river is only a few minutes drive away and it is famous for it's blue ribbon fly fishing. The are also a couple of white water rafting companies on the Gallatin. If you don't feel like being on the water, but want to go for a beautiful drive, the Gallatin Canyon drive is an amazingly beautiful place to drive.

Yellowstone National Park is about an hour away. From Bozeman you will take the west entrance and go through West Yellowstone. This is a quiaint little town where you can grab a bite to eat, see a picture at the Imax theatre or get close to the wild life at The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. This is also a great place to pick up some souvenirs.

Right in Bozeman we have the Museum of the Rockies. This is a beautiful museum that takes a couple of days to go through. It's a very family friendly museum. In the summer the have an old working homestead house you can walk out to. If you time it just right, you will walk into the house and smell freshly baked goodies. Sometimes they share. You can pump water from an old hand pump, feed the chickens and watch a blacksmith working.

In the winter - we have several ski resorts close to town. The closest is Bridger Bowl. It's about 15-20 minutes up the canyon. Bridger Bowl is a great place to learn to ski or snowboard. The other 2 are about an hour away. They are Big Sky Ski Resort and Moonlight Basin. You can pre-buy lift tickets to any of these - online.

How about college sports? We have Montana State University right in the heart of Bozeman. If you like to watch football, volleyball or basketball this is a great place to do it. The college field house also host lots of other events. They have the college rodeo and concerts.

Great Rental!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for almost 2 months while our house was being remodeled. The location is great. It is located near the stores, not far from town, close to Bridger Bowl. It has a spectacular view with a spectacular sunny deck. The accommodations were clean and so comfortable. It was perfect for us. The owners, Melissa and Drew couldn't have been more accommodating.

So Peaceful!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for about a week while visiting family, heads and shoulders above a hotel room!! Comfortable and homey with a nicely equipped kitchen and gas grill so we could cook well. The kids enjoyed the trampoline and chickens immensely and the neighborhood was quiet with serene views, starry nights, and little traffic noise, plus a short drive to town, all for a great price. The owners were fabulous to work with! We will definitely book again the next time we're in town!

As Good As It Gets!! Comfortable, beautiful views of Bridger mountains and amazing sunsets

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely couldn't have been more perfect! My husband and I nested here to be near a good hospital for the arrival of our baby in December. The house was very clean and had comfortable furniture, everything you could possibly need in a kitchen including a nice gas grill. The evening sunsets were some of the prettiest I have ever seen. We rented for 4 months and my husband skied Bridger nearly every day.

close to town, but definitely a country atmosphere!

  • 5 of 5

Very very clean! Really nice people. We loved being so close to Bozeman, but still out in the country with no traffic noise. Beautiful mountain views! Trails to walk on which we did every day. Very relaxing location.

8 weeks of comfort and new friends

  • 5 of 5

Relax, unwind, and make new friends. Our family had a great stay in this apartment. The large yard and cul-de-sac location allowed our 3 and 5 year old boys to be "Boys". The location is convenient to downtown and the interstate to make a quick day trip. The apartment has well utilized space to allow the feeling of being much larger adn efficient than we expected. We stayed for 8 weeks and didn't get cramped. The owners were eager to make our stay enjoyable. This is the place a family would come back to every year.
