Walk to Roger Wheeler State Beach also knows as Sand hill cove. Like new condition. Lots of living space, Central A/C, Sunroom, well maintained yard, upper deck with Distant Water Views, and walk to beach and surrounding restaurants for ice cream, clam cakes, and chowder.

This beautiful, bright split level is equipped with hardwood floors and new appliances. Ceiling fans and A/C in all bedrooms. There are 3 Queen beds, Washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, gas grill, cable, flat screen tvs, and wireless internet. This home is comfortably furnished throughout.

Great Find and Location

Great spaces to accommodate my family from 2 to 7 kiddos and adults! Screened porch was a great nighttime hangout for games and relaxation. Owner provided all the basics and garage access for keeping beach stuff a plus!

Great location and home

Our family of 6 returned for another summer visit to this beautiful home. The house includes everything we need with room to spread out and we love being able to walk to the beach, dinner and ice cream! Thanks again!

Beautiful home and quiet neighborhood

It was the perfect location. Very nice home in a quiet neighborhood. Close to beaches, the ferry to Block Island, nice restaurants and walking distance to Aunt Carries ice cream. Rob was very good about checking in with us and also gave us detailed instructions before we arrived about the house, amenities etc.. I highly recommend this property.

Nice property

We were very pleased with the cleanliness of this home and that there was lots of room for our extended family. There were ample kitchen supplies, towels and beach chairs, toys, etc. And I liked that Rob texted on our day of arrival to make sure we were settled and had everything we needed.

Beach life made easy!

Great location! A few minutes away from great food, drinks and the beach! Very clean, easy to access and comforting for the entire family. ACs kept the house cool during the day and enjoyable to return after a day at the beach. Rob was easy to connect with and very responsive during the stay for all our questions. Thanks!!

Back for year four!

We love this comfortable, well appointed house and returned again this summer with our family of six. With lots of room to spread out and all of the towels, beach chairs, etc. that you need. Being able to walk to Iggy's, Aunt Carrie's ice cream and the beach is an added bonus! Rob is a great communicator and always available for questions.

Perfect for us

We loved this property! It was roomy, very clean and beautifully decorated. Located in a quiet neighborhood there was plenty of opportunity to peacefully enjoy the outdoor spaces, front porch, deck and sunroom. Many conveniences were provided, making us feel right at home! Great Neighborhood!

The house was located in a great neighborhood in a fantastic location. The house was the perfect layout for our family. The bunk beds are located in the basement and unfortunately with the moisture that comes with being so close to the shore smelled very musty, especially after a rainy day. The same with the bedroom/living room on the lower floor. The screened in patio was a great bug-free hangout! Overall, it was a great week of making family memories!

Update 2016: We have replaced the carpet with commercial grade indoor/outdoor carpeting and added more air conditioning and moisture removal remedies resulting in a much drier environment and eliminating musty orders. If you have any questions about this, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Great family visit in Narangansett

We really enjoyed this house, which was perfect for two families with kids coming for a beach vacation. The house had a great Bunk room that had plenty of space for all the kids (you could easily fit 6 in there), and three rooms that adults would be comfortable in. The owners had thought of EVERYTHING. The house was well stocked with paper products, dish soap, etc., the kitchen had all the tools we needed including multiple ways of making coffee, and there were lots of fun toys and games in the home for the kids. The little ones really enjoyed the toy cars that were in the garage, and there were even yard games like croquet which, had we not had so much rain, would have been really fun. The outdoor shower was also great! While the location is not quite as close as we imagined to the beach, but using the shortcut, biking/walking to the beach was easy. We loved the many spaces in the home - the open kitchen living room were great, but there was space to break out into smaller groups in the lower family room, the enclosed porch, and the front porch. We highly recommend this place! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Perfect Family Gathering Spot

My husband's extended family and I just returned from a week at this property and we were all thrilled with the experience. At various points, this included a 70 year old, four adults in their 40s, three teens/preteens, one 5 year old and an infant. Never did the house feel crowded. There was plenty of room to spread out - our favorite spot was the roof deck; sitting up there with a cocktail and listening to the ocean waves was a joy. The kids loved their "dungeon" room downstairs and enjoyed having their own private space. Wheeler's Beach is an easy 12-15 min walk, "door to shore", via the neighborhood "cut-through" paths. The house is equipped with extra beach chairs, umbrellas, wagons, beach toys, etc. Room for 4 cars at least in the driveway. Kitchen/family room is bright and airy. Bedrooms are roomy. Two full bathrooms (one with a tub and one with a stand up shower) plus an outdoor shower - plenty of room for everyone to clean up after a day at the beach and before a nice dinner out. Tip for those new to the area - make sure to make your dinner reservations before you come during peak season! Spain, the Coast Guard House and Matunuck Oyster Bar are our favorites. Our only complaint was that the childrens' bedroom, located in the lowest level of the split-level type home, always seemed "damp" and a bit musty. The room could definitely benefit from a tiled floor (versus the current carpeting) and a dehumidifier. The kids didn't seem to mind. The kitchen, laundry and bathrooms were well stocked with anything you could need. The only thing that was missing was face cloths which were inadvertently forgotten by the cleaning crew. The owner checked in several times during our stay and he quickly remedied the missing face cloth situation!! Overall we would definitely recommend the property for big family gatherings. Thanks Rob!

Thanks for the kind words Naomi. It was a pleasure having you stay at White Swan. I appreciate the feedback as well. We are definitely looking to update the bottom floor bedroom with something other than carpet (hopefully next year). And my apologies for not providing more detail around the current A/C & Dehumidifier down there now. That wall unit does both cool and dehumidify and I should have made sure I reviewed that with you and provide you the best settings to keep it dry down there and mitigate any dampness or musty smell. Amazing Location... House has a double personality

I am will break down my recent stay in the property into pros and cons. Different people value different things. My party consisted of four adults and four kids ( one, eight-year-old and three, five-year-olds) Pros: 1) The host is very responsive and very involved in making sure that your stay is great. It happened that we were there during a hurricane and the host reached out several times to check in on us. 2) Property has a generator, a huge plus when the power went out during the hurricane. 3) Amazing location to local restaurants and beaches. 4) Kitchen is well stocked in anything and everything you might need ( suggestion obtain a larger frying pan would be great) 5) Amazing wifi and AC 6) House is fully stocked with everything you might need for the beach: chairs, cooler, beach wagon. ( all items are in great condition) 7) Bathrooms are well stocked with necessary items: toilet paper, q-tips, feminine hygiene products, body wash, and shampoo 8) Each bedroom has its own unique set of towels which was great with such a large party making sure which towel belongs to whom. 9) Well stocked laundry room 10 ) lots of board games, arts and crafts were a huge plus when trying to keep kids entertained while inside. Cons 1) Pictures need to be updated to clearly show what the property currently looks like. 2) Upon checking in the majority of the surfaces were dirty and sticky to the touch, requiring us to do deep cleaning the whole house especially having younger children in our party. 3) Lower half of the house has a very strong musky odor, especially the basement level with the bunk bed and two twin beds. 4) The lower level shower needs to be updated and redesigned. No one in our party used it as we didn't feel comfortable using it ( shower is not shown in the listing pictures) 5) Wear and Tear is starting to show especially on the lower level of the house. That is why I said the house has a double personality. The upper level is open and airy while the lower level seems very dark and depressing. 6)

Thanks for your feedback Jakub. I value your comments and will certainly work to improve in those areas. I spoke to the cleaning crew immediately after hearing from you which is exactly why I call to check in and ensure everything is as you expected. I always want to address concerns sooner than later. I feel good that we'll ensure that doesn't happen again. As for the musky order, I heard that once back in 2014 and haven't since. I wonder if the AC was on or off at that time? Being so close to the water, it's always damp there so I recommend leaving the AC and or the Dehumidifier on at all times. Living there myself through mid July, that did the trick for me and my family didn't smell anything. We definitely have updates on the list including the downstairs bath and shower as well as an update to the bunk room. Hope to get those done in the near future. Again, thanks for staying and for your valuable feedback.

Wonderful location

Loved the walk to the beach, the quiet neighborhood, close proximity to Galilee and restaurants. Home owner was very nice and had great communication. Home completely stocked with everything we could need for beach, cooking, yard toys, etc. Only cons were musty basement and thin walls (sounds carried from downstairs to upstairs etc). All in all we recommend this home for future beach vacationers!

Great family vacation home

Rob was an excellent host! He was super friendly and extremely responsive when we had questions. My family had a great time at the house. All of the adult bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The basement where the kids stayed could use some updating, a new dresser and better lighting but it was fine for the kids. We really appreciated all the extras…plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, games, etc. I would highly recommend this house!

Great location, great house, & great host!!!

This house was the perfect place for our extended family to reunite after COVID. Before arriving Rob made sure to answer all our questions and upon arrival the house exceeded all our expectations. The location is perfect, walking distance to Roger Wheeler beach, and an easy bike ride to Scarborough beach. The house is thoughtfully laid out with plenty of room for board games, movie nights etc... The outside is perfectly manicured, including a roof deck and an outdoor shower that was a hit after longs days at the beach. Our family has been renting homes for family vacations for many years and this was one of the best, can't wait to come back.

Another great stay!

My family enjoyed another great extended stay at this lovely home in Narragansett this year! The home is well appointed for our family of 6 (with room to spare) and Rob is a kind and responsive host. We love our walks to Iggy’s and Aunt Carrie’s, playing in the yard and trips to lots of local beaches.

Great for families!

We stayed at this property for an extended period this summer and everything was wonderful! The house had everything we needed for our family of six and lots of room to spread out. The location in a quiet neighborhood with easy walks to dinner and ice cream was perfect. Rob was friendly and responsive and made check-in/check-out easy! We have already booked for next year!

Perfect!

This home, with all its thoughtful, hospitable touches, was definitely ‘home away from home.’ We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the grandchildren already asked if we could rent it again next year. The screened in porch in back was my favorite retreat at night and the front porch is where I had my coffee. Very quiet neighborhood, close to everything. Perfect area for bike riding or anything!

Very nice, spacious, bright, house

The vacation house very a pleasure to stay in. Rob, the owner, was wonderful from the start. He was helpful in answering any and all questions immediately. The house is a good amount of space for two families (we were 8). The 2 bedrooms upstairs were large and comfortable. The one bedroom on the lower floor gives privacy. And the bunk beds and two set of twin beds in the basement were great for kids to have their own little space. Our kids really enjoyed making that room their own. There is also a nice screened porch in the back and an rooftop deck. In short, there were many areas to accommodate a large group of people, and yet still have privacy. The location is fabulous, with about a 10 minutes to Roger Wheeler beach and a short drive to the others. It is also within walking distance to popular restaurants like Aunt Carrie's and Iggy's. Finally, we had left our chromecast on one of the TVs and Rob had offered to send it back to us free of charge! It doesn't get better than that!

Perfect place for a girls getaway!

Just spent an entire week here, and loved every minute! The location is perfect-close to great beaches, Newport, Block Island etc! We had 12 ladies in our group, and we were completely comfortable. Kitchen is stocked with all the essentials. Rob was attentive, yet gave us our space, and was always available for recommendations. No one was ready to leave, and we would all come back and stay here!
