About this property

Ocean front house. Quiet retreat on the Atlantic. Pool, kayaks, and a firepit!

Beautiful sunrises with a private jetty. Dolphins who pass by. Spend time kayaking or fishing, and follow up with a dip in the pool. Relax downstairs, outside, but shaded from the tropical sun. In the afternoon or evening return to the jetty to toast the beautiful keys’ sunsets. The dining room and living room face the ocean with windows across the front. The colors of the ocean and sky are never the same, providing an ever changing vista. A kitchen with granite counters and island gives you ample space to prepare meals. Downstairs is a gas grill for your fresh catch or burgers. The TV room has a large TV with internet access and Directv. The primary bedroom is en-suite with a bath with a tub/shower. The second bedroom can be set-up as two twin beds or as a King bed. Both bedrooms have televisions. There is WIFI for your devices.

Marathon center is 7 miles west of the Pink Dolphin with two grocery stores, pharmacies and shops. Lots of local restaurants and bars provide live entertainment nightly. The Dolphin Research Center is a mile away and Curry Hammock State Park is nearby.

The Pink Dolphin is a duplex with retired owners living in other side who will follow you lead for interaction. Phil is an avid fisherman and retired lawyer, so he’s never short of good stories.

Marathon home rentals regulations require 7 nights minimum and we rent Saturday to Saturday. Pet fees are $150 for one dog, second is additional. We are licensed and inspected by the City of Marathon. Our license number is VACA 23-155

Please clean grill after last use. Next people will thank you
Check below house for your belongings. Also remember electronics and accessories. I’ve had to ship laptops, cords and phones to many tenants. The worry is great for both parties

Easy to check in and out. Beautiful location. Enjoyed kayaking, swimming, exploring, but most of all the view. The house was clean and comfortable. Loved every minute of our week, wish it was longer.

A quiet paradise

The owners who live next door are very friendly and the location is ideal. The jetty makes you feel like you're on your own mini island, not that you can really hear the road noise inside the house. And you're just far enough away to feel isolated but still close to all the good food stops on Marathon.

Warm Tropical Escape

This property was just what we were looking for! Beautifully landscaped, scrupulously clean, ON the ocean with beautiful sunrise/sunsets...a place for our dog to run! Midway down the Keys so close to beautiful turquoise waters, Key West and countless attractions and parks. We highly recommend. Our hosts were so gracious and super friendly!

Relaxation at its best!

PERFECT spot for relaxing, watching the sunrise AND sunset with close proximity to everything without being in the hustle and bustle. The views from the house and the backyard are exactly what the keys are all about! The communication before, during and after our stay with the owners could not have been any better. The house and pool are CLEAN and well stocked with everything needed and did I mention the view! My entire family can’t wait until next time- We will definitely be returning!

We are childhood sweethearts from Maine who spent much of their life in NH. Phil is an avid fisherman and we are both duplicate bridge players. Margaret is a serial hobbyist! Our 4 grandchildren are the light of our lives. Just ask! We enjoy meeting new people and sharing our new home town with others.

Why they chose this property

We both grew up near the ocean and saltwater runs in our veins. We love our home on the ocean and watching the ever changing view. But we are not city folk, and this location gives us the quiet we love.

What makes this property unique

Unlike many properties in Marathon, our property is nearly an acre in size. We also are one of the few properties with a jetty and seating area away from the hustle and bustle of life. Under our home we’ve created a quiet sitting and dining area where you can enjoy the warmth without turning to toast. A small pool to provide a welcome dip is shared only with the owners.
