Owner's Response: Thank you so much for these kind words. Your time there and your perceptions and overall experiences of our home is exactly what my grandmother and mother would have wanted you to have. Please come back again, Pocahontas County has a lot of neat things to see and do in warmer times, so come again to Nola's House! We'll leave the latch string out! Most Sincerely, Sally Sally Rose Ribeiro and her family

Everything was wonderful except the internet access. Wi-Fi was not working almost all the time.

Owner's Response: Olga, I am so sorry about the problem w/ the internet I wish you had called and I would have called my provider! Marlinton and the county historically do not have the best overall cell or internet coverage !! This is a pain we fight to endure and strive to have improved. This is not just a problem for my home but is all over the area! Again sorry! Sincerely, Sally R.

Great place to stay in Marlinton

  • 4 of 5

We stay at Nolas because it accommodates our large family & we can walk anywhere in town. Great for Marlinton events such as the Road Kill Cookoff & Greenbrier River Race. The home is always clean, comfortable & stocked with kitchen items you might forget. We'll be back. Thanks, Joe Nekoranec

About Sally Rose Ribeiro

My brothers and I grew up in this house, as did my father's family before us. We love the feel of going back home, as you will when you return again and again! Although we were all transplanted to neighboring states, West Virginia is in our blood. If you like a slower pace, a small town with varied activities for different ages and friendly folks , you will love Nola's House in Marlinton.

Sally Rose Ribeiro purchased this house in 1902

Why Sally Rose Ribeiro chose Marlinton

This house is being shared by my family for your family. We have hosted family and high school class reunions and varied holiday celebrations; Christmas is still 'Christmas' here for my family, snow or not!

What makes this house unique

We enjoy visiting all of the sites we loved growing up and reliving the times we roamed the hills and streams in and out of town. Family friends are close by and will assist you, as well. Come Home to Nola's House!
