Beautiful stay

Serene home tucked in the tall trees; we were comfortable from start to finish. Gorgeous environment with easy access to local highways, lakes and hikes.

Great Fun and lots of space

For 2 of the four nights/five days that we were there, we had 10 people under one roof. We all had plenty of space and enjoyed the house very much. Amazing hot tub!

4 day stay....great weather...quiet setting but with early morning golf course mowers (8 am)...deer...hot tub...not ADA accessible presently. 9 sibs & spouses in 60's-70's had a good stay. Thanks!!

Great stay in Black Butte

The house worked perfect for us. We had a golf trips with 8 guys, plenty of space, beds, and bathrooms to host all of us. The host was also very responsive when messaging. All around great stay for us.

Great house for large group

Our family spent Thanksgiving in this home and the layout and large kitchen made it a great fit. This is the classic Black Butte home! In addition, the location was really nice for easy access to take the dog for a walk in the woods. The ownership group was very responsive with any requests.

This was a very nice house with a lot of rooms, lovely deck, conveniently located. The property manager was very kind and accessible.

We had a fabulous time staying in this home for a long weekend with extended family. It was the perfect size for our needs. It was clean, well equipped and the location couldn’t be any better. If anything could be improved I would have to say the sofas in the living room were not very comfortable and I was told the mattresses on the bunk beds were very hard and didn’t have top sheets. The windows in the upper bedroom didn’t have shades and it would have been nice to have washcloths for the bathrooms. Other than that the house was great for playing games on the large table, watching golfers on the deck and relaxing in the hot tub. We watched the deer go by the large windows every day. Definitely recommend this place but pretty expensive.

Big place, but lacks a few things

We had a satisfactory stay; there were a few problems, though. Breakers tripped a few times, so we had to reset those. Some of the bedrooms were very cold. There were only six bath towels in the entire house. This house can easily sleep 12. The house had no decorations, and most of it, except the kitchen, was very dated. There was no coffee grinder either. The driveway had not been shovelled, so it was very icy when we were there. Overall, it felt the hosts were doing the bare minimum to meet VRBO requirements and nothing more.

Great space; but cleanliness lacking & in need of repairs!

This home has great potential (lots of room for large group); but in dire need of new cleaning crew & attention to basic details.-many windows with no coverings (especially upstairs bedrooms) -floors dirty & dusty-oven & stove full of grease & baked on gunk-hair in downstairs shower drain -Months of crumbs & food particles under main couch cushions-no sheets on one set of bunks or top sheet on upstairs king-no instruction or welcome booklet for anything-heater in master suite kept shutting off-not enough towels; dish towels very old & stained

Black butte vacation

We had a great trip to black butte. The location of the house was fantastic. Home owners had good communication. We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the home. It also felt like we were staying in a house mid-renovation. There was black mold in the downstairs bathroom, the bath towels were hanging and wet when we arrived, the floor did not appear to be cleaned at all, and there were dirty dishes in the cabinet. As a personal preference we prefer white bath towels and bed linens because it makes a rental feel more clean. This home had black/gray and a hodgepodge of linens that felt like second hand towels and sheets. Ultimately we ended up washing everything upon our arrival and had to buy cleaning supplies to clean the home before we felt like it was tolerable. This home has great potential, but we felt there needed to be a lot of improvements before we’d recommended it as a rental..

Filthy

The house was not cleaned— the floors were filthy, bathrooms had been used and not clean and also had mold on the ceilings, sheets didn’t seem to be cleaned and wet towels were rolled up on the beds. The grill looked as if it had never been clean and was unable to use— the homeowner did replace while we were there. There was plywood on some of the windows, cob webs/spider webs in the inside of windows. Patio furniture hasn’t been wiped down. There was no shampoo/conditioner or cleaning supplies when we arrived so we had to buy our own. The carpet in one of the master suites is stained everywhere and the whole house smelled dirty. We had to get air fresheners and candles to mask the smell. The refrigerator has not been cleaned and was also filthy. The house is under construction and was not finished— we found construction supplies all around the perimeter of the home including rusty nails. Minimal furniture that was also filthy. While the homeowner attempted to rectify some of the above issues, the house was not as advertised upon arrival which caused us to lose our whole first day of vacation cleaning and doing laundry. Location was ideal— if some TLC was put into this house, it has tons of potential!

Becky, we are sorry to hear that the house didn’t meet your expectations. Although we have not had other complaints regarding cleanliness or smells in the house, we sent housekeeping back out as soon as you notified us of your concerns. Thanks for letting us know about the grill. As you mentioned, it was promptly replaced and we have communicated with housekeeping about the issue moving forward. The nails you mention were underneath the deck, and there were no other construction supplies present. The dirty refrigerator was an old unit stored in the garage that is not in use. We don’t advertise provision of shampoo and conditioner. We apologize you had to spend time shopping for those things. Our goal is to provide a positive experience for all our guests, and we are sorry the extensive steps we took to rectify your concerns were not satisfying to you.
