Deadwood Rentals Pet Policy

We welcome dogs only at select properties with the following guidelines. Cats and other animals are not permitted at any Deadwood Rentals properties under any circumstances.
• A non-refundable fee of $100 per stay applies for up to two dogs, with a maximum weight of 30 lbs per dog.
• Prior to booking, you must provide a description of your dog(s) for pre-approval.
• Pets that shed must remain off furniture and beds to maintain cleanliness.
• For the safety and comfort of your pets, we strongly recommend kenneling when you are away from the property.
• If your dog’s barking disturbs neighbors or other guests, alternative arrangements will be required.
• Guests are financially responsible for any carpet cleaning or damage caused by pets, including professional steam cleaning if needed.
• Any pet not approved in advance will result in a minimum $200 charge.
• Excessive shedding or additional cleaning needs will result in added cleaning fees.

Amazing Couples Vacation

We had four couples staying here. We enjoyed the fact that we each had king sized beds and our own bathrooms. The home was very clean and the best stocked home we have stayed in. We take a couples trip to the Blackhills every year and highly recommend this home and property management company.

The house was amazing, my only complaints are it was a little dirty. When we got there, there were full and empty beer cans all over our back by the hot tub, fire place, and grill. The shower in the main floor master bathroom had not been cleaned as there was still spots of soap or shampoo or something. In general the place could have been a little cleaner, but other than that it was amazing!

My husband and I love this area. I made the decision to plan a trip for my husband’s family for Christmas; there was 15 of us in total. Having 6 bedrooms was awesome and the kitchen/living room was a great place for all of us hang out and play games. On a positive note I received multiple emails on how to check in, checkout and thanking us for staying.Some of the concerns I have with this property. It was expensive for a two night stay. We picked this cabin for the following, we needed space for 15 and we wanted certain amenities, specifically a hot tub. Upon arrival the hot tub was blinking red and in protection mode. I did contact the host and I was told I received an email earlier in the day, which I did. I was told in the email that a technician would come Saturday to look at it again, which did not happen. Another concern was a beeping noise in the furnace room, which was directly below one the bedrooms. I contacted the host via email and was told that there is no way to manually turn off the beep and that it would need reset itself. The beeping did not stop the entire stay, which was very disappointing. Tv remotes did not work. I addressed all my concerns this with the host via email and nothing improved. Disappointing for the little time we spent there.

Family vacation was a success!

Blackwoods Retreat house was perfect for our first family vacation with the whole crew: 4 couples, 5 kids + dogs! Each couple got a private bedroom, most with a private bath. Kids loved hanging out in the upstairs game room, which gave the adults time to relax and chill in the living room, around the patio table, gas firepit or in the hot tub. Kitchen was well stocked--we cooked several hot breakfasts and a nice steak dinner one night. Beds and furniture were comfy. The community pool was also fun. Only 10 minutes or so to Spearfish Canyon and groceries/gas/restaurants in Lead/Deadwood area. Plenty of parking, quiet neighborhood. Minor issues with the single serve side of the coffee maker and the temperature level of the outdoor grill, but not enough to detract from the 5 star rating. Host communication was prompt and friendly. Would definitely recommend this property!

Trinity was born and raised in Deadwood, SD and continues to live there year-round. She met her significant other Josiah through mutual business dealings, and is currently engaged to be married in 2024. They have two children, Lavender and Izabelle, and have a Goldendoodle pup named Honey. They love traveling as a family, outdoor activities, and learning aerial arts together!

She got started in the vacation rental business by accident in 2016, merely trying to avoid roommates to afford her newly purchased home. She decided to start vacation renting her home on this "New" site called Airbnb while she traveled all over the world for her job. The idea went so well, that after just one year, she started purchasing more properties in the area to do the same with. She has since been able to retire from her job as a traveling Cirque and Dance performer and focuses entirely on her Deadwood businesses.

Currently, Deadwood Rentals owns 6 of their listings, with another 12 they host for private homeowners. She thoroughly enjoys being able to host guests from around the world who come to visit this little piece of paradise.
