The Texas Barn is a corporate two bedroom, 1700 square foot separate guest home located on a private, gated 3 acre estate in the heart of the Medical Center. A large soaking tub and shower are features of the bathrooms. The grounds also include a main home, guest cottage and separate garage. Use of the private pool, and picnic area is included. Two Golden Retrievers, one Goldendoodle, one Rotweiler and a cat roam around the property and may entertain you! You are on your own once you pet them!
This is a fully furnished corporate unit complete with linens, dishes, utensils, pots and pans, TV, DVD, telephone, washer and dryer, internet service and cable. The only thing necessary is your suitcase. City of San Antonio requires a permit for Short Term Rentals and our permit number is STR-22-13500017.

Conveniently located in a busy corridor of San Antonio, this is a park-like setting that gives you the feel of living in the country. A scenic 40 mile bicycle, walking path (Leon Creek Greenway) is within a mile of the property. And there are other Bicycle Paths (Salado Creek Greenway) nearby. There are numerous golf courses close by.

Further Details: HEB grocery stores and shopping malls (Huebner Oaks and La Cantera) are very close by. Six Flags and Sea World Theme Parks are also very near. Downtown and the River Walk are approximately 20 minutes away. Lackland Air Force Base is approximately 15 miles away.

The property is also close to USAA, Valero, University of Texas Health Science Center, UTSA, La Cantera/Rim/Six Flags 'Fiesta' TX and the I10/Loop 1604 area. All of the area hospitals are minutes away.

The Texas Barn is a non-smoking environment.

The Barn is fully stocked with old fashioned games - Cards, Dominoes, Risk, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, etc.

About The Owner: I am a retired educator and airline employee. My husband and I enjoy traveling, but we also love our home in San Antonio. Gardening and keeping the grounds lovely is a favorite pastime. We especially love to entertain, and enjoy the evenings around the patio area. We cook out often and enjoy al fresco dining and a glass of wine or a margarita by the pool. We love to get to know our guests. There is always an open invitation. We have several cats who will want to be petted and loved.

For a relaxing getaway, this is the place to come! You are right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of San Antonio, and yet once you enter this property, you feel like you are in the country! We are listed with the City of San Antonio as a provider of short term rentals and our permit number is 2019-0015.
