About this property

Pigeon River Hideaway on the Little Pigeon River, Smoky Mountains

Pigeon River Hideaway is located on the Little Pigeon River between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Gorgeous views of the river from the deck, screened in porch with porch swing and both upstairs bedrooms. The best rapids on the entire river are directly in front of the rustic chalet. On the upper level is two bedrooms and bathroom, which includes a 2 person Jacuzzi. The main level includes a great room with satellite HD TV, DVD/VCR, sofa, and dining room. Also on the main level is a fully equipped kitchen and additional bathroom. On the lower level is another bedroom with its own private deck to the river and an additional shower.

The rustic cabin is secluded from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas but close enough for easy access. Relax on the deck and watch the river go by or read a book on the porch swing.

Children under 16 are free. Additional couples are $30/night. For a vacation to get away from it all but enjoy all the activities that Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains have to offer.

About the host

Hosted by Lynn Fielitz, Ron Fielitz

Host profile image
We are brothers Ron and Lynn, the owners and builders of Pigeon River Hideaway. We’re originally from Ohio, where we spent much of our lives farming and working outdoors, which is where we developed our appreciation for peaceful landscapes and simple beauty. Building this cabin was truly a labor of love for us, and we enjoy knowing that guests from across the country—and even around the world—get to experience and enjoy the same special place that means so much to us. One of our favorite things as hosts is seeing where our guests are from and knowing the cabin we built can bring people together to relax, recharge, and make lasting memories.

Why they chose this property

We chose this location because of its natural beauty and peaceful setting along the Little Pigeon River. The cabin sits in a scenic and secluded area where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the river, the rapids, and the surrounding mountains. It offers a quiet escape away from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, yet it’s still close enough that guests can easily visit all the attractions, restaurants, and activities those towns have to offer. For us, it’s the perfect balance of relaxation and convenience.

What makes this property unique

Pigeon River Hideaway is special because of its private riverfront location. Guests can sit on the deck and listen to the flowing water, watch the rapids, enjoy the scenery, or spend time fishing right outside the cabin. The seclusion creates a peaceful mountain experience that’s hard to find, while the beautiful river setting makes it feel truly unique. Because we personally built the cabin, every detail reflects the care and pride we put into creating a place where guests can unwind, enjoy nature, and feel at home.
