We were very happy to stay in this house. It is a cozy and comfortable place with beautiful nature around. The house had everything we needed for a pleasant stay — plenty of dishes, clean beds, and all the essentials. Everything was great, we really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend this place.

Thank you for being Very kind and respectful guests! We would be more than happy to host you again!
Great place with great views lots to do! Loved the kayaks, jacuzzi, game room, and (great quality) basketball hoop outside. I think a few minor things could use attention (e.g., replace a couple pool sticks, ensure game room equipment is plugged in or has batteries, level shuffle-board, air-hockey puck upgrade). But overall great place that we'd love to stay at again!
Great experience from start to finish. The owners were very responsive and accomadating before and during our stay. The house worked perfect and even had a garage full of games that we were not expecting which was an added bonus. We look forward to renting the house again for future trips.
The sunset sanctuary was the perfect location to stay at. It was perfect because the lake was shallow enough for the kids to stand and deep enough for adults to swim. There was also a beach side that our kids loved to play on. It was also very close to my favorite ice cream location, Tim’s. The location on the lake was prime. The house itself was impeccable. Clean, functional, and beautiful! The house had many large living spaces for the family to gather, while also providing smaller locations to get away and relax. Many amenities for both kids and children. Highly recommend to anyone! What a beautiful location for a beautiful stay!
The home was lovely. The owners changed between the time I booked it and when we stayed, so some things were disappointing. I had chosen this home in part because of the fireplaces and the large Jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom. Without those features, I would have booked another home. Unfortunately, we discovered that neither of these was available for use. There was also no coffee maker (other than Keurig,) so we went out and purchased one (and the host reimbursed me promptly.) We were a group of writers, so fireplaces, soaking tubs, buckets of coffee, and views make all the difference. The communication with the host was clear and good overall. I think they have many ideas for updating the space. The views were spectacular. We enjoyed a restaurant close by (in walking distance when it's not too cold.) The heating was unbalanced--folks on the second floor were freezing when third floor folks were toasty. Maybe bring extra blankets when it's cool. We didn't use the hot tub, but it looked relaxing and was in a nice spot. We did enjoy our time and were productive. The host was kind and helpful and provided a lot of information about the area.
The Sunset Sanctuary was a nice Lake Anna property, but significant post-stay issues create deep reservations about the host and VRBO.Despite leaving the property in excellent condition, owners failed to refund our damage deposit from mid-March through mid-August. The host committed multiple times to process the refund but repeatedly failed to follow through. VRBO support only directed us to pursue a chargeback with no additional help. The property has good features. 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms with plenty of space and open floor plan for larger groups. Game room was a highlight the kids especially enjoyed - well-appointed and entertaining. Water access is very convenient stepping right from house to lakefront. Nice area to kayak without being in the main boating channel and plenty of shoreline to fish. Kitchen and dining areas are nice with good counter space for group meals. Living spaces are comfortable and well-designed with beautiful lake views throughout making it ideal for both cooking together and relaxing. The common areas flow nicely and provide good gathering spaces for families. While the property has nice features, the ongoing deposit issue and lack of VRBO support raise serious concerns about booking with this host or platform again.
Our family just spent nine days at the Regal and we had a wonderful vacation. The property was just as listed with a few positive changes by the new owners (king beds). They also let us know they had updated the photos and we saw that two new homes were recently completed on either side. We were glad we knew in advance of our arrival. Also added photos of the second family room downstairs we didn’t realize were there. The grounds are mature, pretty and well maintained. We started our house search looking for a house with a beach for our little ones and they really enjoyed it. The view is spectacular and this part of the lake is more on the quiet side. The house is very comfortable with plenty of space for seating and sleeping and playing. The primary bedroom is huge and one of my kids joked that "there was no reason to ever leave it.” The kitchen is by far the best equipped kitchen we have ever had in a rental. The pontoon boat docked at the boathouse is available to rent. After our trip I know boating is essential to the lake experience. We worked with Zack who was terrific and we highly recommend using him. They have installed a mosquito spray system on the deck. We got sprayed one night so we set an alarm on our watches for 9pm as a reminder.Food Lion is only 10 minutes away. The owner/host was great to work with. Overall wonderful experience. We highly recommend this house.
